It's so cool that your Grandpa watches your channel! I like that song too. Sorry you've been feeling bad. I hope you feel better. You have a lot of people who care about you, whether it is family, like your Grandpa that you didn't even know was watching you, or your regular subscribers, who like watching your reaction videos, but also care about you as a person. Have a good day! God loves you! And so do a lot of others!
Sorry you seem to be going through a depression at the moment. A lot of us have been there and are there now. The Stones are another of Britain's best bands 🇬🇧❤🎸
This song has an old soul. Hang on brother. I've heard this song all my life. Find strength in shared emotions/connections/emotions/empathy. 2 truths in life= music math. Both are proven universal
I second the motion...hang on brother. Having also struggled with depression, be careful with the meaning of some songs, some will lift you up, but some can have the opposite effect. Songs that deal with loss or depression can take you either way. Keep moving forward.
When u have no one to understand and support you music can make you realize you are not alone in suffering! PRAYERS FOR YOU DUDE! You take care of your self and try to hang out with positive people!
This song always reminds me of the movie " Full Metal Jacket ". At the very end when the credits are up you can hear that song. One of my favourite movies and songs. Nice reaction 👍
I first saw them in 1967 with the Yardbirds and the Beau Brummels. The ticket was $6. I still have the stub. I have seen them 11 times in all. The last time was 40 Licks and tickets where $150 but could have spent as much as $600 for front row.
Paint It Black has been one of my favorites for many years. One of those get me going songs. Stones have lots of great songs for sure. Mothers Little Helper is another fav by them. Several others.
This has always been my favorite since a kid. Some of my earliest memories is this song playing as the intro to a tv show about the Vietnam war in the 80’s called Tour of Duty. So once the best picks up I just have images of that show of them running through the jungle and explosions and stuff.
I think this is one of the best songs ever. It just has something....the words speaking about the dark times of your life. The actual instrumentals that just absolutely drive it....Hopefully there are better days ahead for you and your family. God Bless you.
This is not only a musical journey, but also a very personal one, thank you for making us a part of it. Music used to have something for every emotion, you can just choose a melody where you can take refuge for a little while, so to speak. It's awesome that even your family is enjoying your content and also making cool song suggestions, your grandpa is a badass for suggesting this one, you are not strange at all for liking it, this is a huge classic and i'm glad you were introduced to it.
Do u guys remember the show Tour of Duty? This was the intro song to it! I used to get so excited to hear this song at the beginning of each episode! Never gets old!
The Rollings Stones will be forever a big part of my personality. They aren't even one of my favorite bands but I can tell you just about everything about their catalog. My father thinks he's Mick Jagger so it's been branded into my brain everything Rolling Stones. Legendary
How amazing your grandfather watches your videos! So cool! Your grandpa has fabulous taste in music!❤️ good to see your handsome self keep your wonderful head up my dear! You a a bright light in many many peoples day! We love you! Also my deepest condolences to you and your family.❤️❤️❤️❤️
This is one of my favorite Rolling Stones songs. I first heard it when I was 11 or 12 (a few years after it came out) and I didn't understand it but loved the sound. In my ups and downs throughout my teens and 20s this song reflected my mood from time to time. I still love it even though I am an optimistic person. There is something about it that just grabs you. I am glad you like it. Some others have mentioned "As Tears Go By". My husband when I first met him in Jr High learned how to play it on guitar and so it has always given me fond memories and a connection to him when we were apart. James, I am sorry about your nephew. May you find peace in your memories of him.
I know what you're going through, I like so many others here have lost relatives and it isn't easy when we here or see something that reminds us of that person(s) but keep strong James. This is one of my many favourites of the Rolling Stones, just pure talent .
Music meant something besides fame and fortune in those days ! Thought provoking, mind expanding, emotions stirred.Still evokes strong memories in us old dudes.
Man I just found your channel and binge watched over the weekend. It is so great to see someone with so much of same music taste as me appreciate so many different things and discover such amazing songs like this not unlike I did when I was around 18 in the mid 90's discovering everything I was actually sheltered from growing up. Paint it Black is one my all time favorite tracks. I have so much more to comment on the other videos of yours I already watched and will have to go back because at the time I was just enjoying the time travel with you and taking delight in your delight! If there is a way to get in contact with you, it sure would be my honor to share my playlist with you and see what you think!!! Tell me what to do man, there's nothing I'd love more than to do what I could to support your channel because I could share music appreciation all day!!! I'm glad you are doing this. It is so wonderful to see such beautiful music loved by the next generation ❤
Like the Doors sang "Music is your only friend, until the end...." Keep yr head up my man. Your feelings are valid and true and do not let anyone take you away from them.
I've had to face up to bouts depression and recurrent exhaustion for most of my life. I hear this song in my head until I crave hearing it and have to play it! Started with the loss of my father, fifty years ago this month. The saying goes, history may not repeat itself, but it sure rhymes alot. 'Ruby Tuesday' is another favourite of mine by the Stones with the lyrics "lose your dreams and you lose your mind. Ain't life unkind?". Very true.
I'd have to look it up to be certain but I'm pretty sure that lyric should read "I want to see the sun / blotted out from the sky", not "flying high in the sky" lol.
The stones were at their best in the sixties. Pick anything from satisfaction to sympathy for the devil and you won't be disappointed. I watched their first TV appearance on Top of the Pops when I was about 9. My dad was gobsmacked and said "look at those long haired gits , they won't last 5 minutes' Over 50 years later they're still going! I only wish my dad was still here to see them. Miss you like crazy mate.
Sorry for your loss, my children and I have always identified with this song. Another "oldie" is one from Eddie Cochran, Cut Across Shorty. Just one to enjoy.
Great song... instantly flashes me back to watching Tour of Duty when I was a teenager.... it was the theme song. "Reflections" by Diana Ross and the Supremes was the theme for China Beach. Good shows... got them all on DVD. Sorry.... veered off course a bit there. Man, music can help give words to feelings, it can sympathize, and it can heal. Music is so powerful... and I am very glad that you're taking the journey through the decades and genres that you are. You're becoming a richer person for it.
Hey Sweetie, love your reaction(s)! I heard this on the radio the other day and thought I'd love for you to experience it since it's always helped me when in certain times of depression. And here I see you've already gotten to it! :) I haven't yet figured out how to find your most recent vids-- just end up looking for you in the rabbit hole on youtube. If you want the flip side of this from The Rolling Stones, try "She Comes In Colors". Cheers to you and your grandpa :)

Amen bro. Good clear true words.

I'm really sorry for your loss, man. This song takes me places, too. ✌️💜💚💛
Marie Laveau So many of us connect to this song!
When u have no one to understand and support you music can make you realize you are not alone in suffering! PRAYERS FOR YOU DUDE! You take care of your self and try to hang out with positive people!
"I see a line of cars and they're all painted black
With flowers and my love both never to come back."
The funeral of the woman he loved.
Your grandpa texts, watches UA-cam and recommended The Stones "Paint it Black"? Coool grandpa, man! Lots of love. 🙂
Sorry to hear about your nephew and the troubled times you are going through, it will pass and you will be stronger for it. God bless.
Rolling Stones - " Angie "
Ho yes!
It's amazing how music can evoke all kinds of emotions.
jimmy fortrue Ain’t it the truth?
it is amazing how music can take you right back to where you were when you first heard it
Yes! I love it! So many great songs and your grandpa asked you to do this??? He’s awesome! I pray you thanked him. He’s a wise man of taste!
Bless you! Sounds like you are depressed. Keep fighting through it,it will get better. So sorry for your loss.
Whenever I hear this, I remember sitting on my dad's lap as a kid, watching Tour Of Duty on TV.
YES !!
Grandpa has good taste in music.
This song always reminds me of the movie " Full Metal Jacket ". At the very end when the credits are up you can hear that song. One of my favourite movies and songs. Nice reaction 👍
That's the first thing I think of when this song is playing.
I think of an 80s TV series about Vietnam called Tour of Duty. It was the opening theme song.
Another Rolling Stones song you might want to consider "As Tears Go By"...this would be one you could vent your emotions...take care.
Agree 💯
As Tears Go By makes me actually cry when I can’t.
Totally agree. "As Tears Go By" is timeless, amazing.
Absolutely a beautiful & sad song ❤️😔👍
💜💜💜
The Rolling Stones have been on top of the rock n roll pile for a long time!! Seen them in concert in 1981!!✌
Candlestick Park San Francisco!!!
I first saw them in 1967 with the Yardbirds and the Beau Brummels. The ticket was $6. I still have the stub. I have seen them 11 times in all. The last time was 40 Licks and tickets where $150 but could have spent as much as $600 for front row.
Tattoo You tour!!! Was supposed to go to in Boulder, crazy Saturday night, lost my car and my buddy!!! Crazy daze!!!
Can’t you hear me knocking is the best Rolling Stones song
now that's a strong statement
Amen to that
Paint It Black has been one of my favorites for many years. One of those get me going songs. Stones have lots of great songs for sure. Mothers Little Helper is another fav by them. Several others.
Speaking of The Rolling Stones, you should react to "Gimme Shelter", featuring guest vocalist Merry Clayton.
I suggested this tune as well - and I'm glad you remembered the lady's name!
Breaks my heart what all she went through
YES!
hell yeah! "Raaaaape! muurder! its just a shot away!"
Yep. Merry's perfect and irreplaceable voice "crack." Once heard, you never forget it.
I am glad you have your Grandfather's list! Keep up the good work & I hope your world gets lighter. I am so sorry about your nephew.

Your grandfather definitely middle sixties and seventies in his young years. He has amazing taste in music
Your grandpa is awesome! love your channel man. (life long guitarplayer here)
The Stones, so many great songs ! Gimme Shelter, Miss you
I love your soul revealing honesty. Paint It Black takes you to the dark place and feels it with you.
Love the reaction Love the song. Unfortunately we all feel this way sometimes. Try to make sure it is not an all of time feeling.
The stones have a ton of good songs. Wishing you peace James ♥️
My favorite Rolling Stones song. I hope your world gets brighter.
The Stones are my all time favorites, check out their 'Waiting On A Friend'...
I think this is one of the best songs ever. It just has something....the words speaking about the dark times of your life. The actual instrumentals that just absolutely drive it....Hopefully there are better days ahead for you and your family. God Bless you.
The power of music is a wondrous thing😄😄😄😄👍
Love this song!!!
Woo hoo the Rolling Stones! They rocked my crib. My mom is a huge Rolling Stones fan,

Fantastic song!

Really sorry for your loss. Music is always therapeutic. Bless you
I'm sorry to hear about your nephew.
Thanks for sharing. Your review of the awesome song is very inspiring !!!!
The Stones kick ass !!!
Do u guys remember the show Tour of Duty? This was the intro song to it! I used to get so excited to hear this song at the beginning of each episode! Never gets old!
I took my 18 yr old daughter to see the Stones this past summer and they did this one. It was one of the highlights of the show!
Songs that pluck the strings of human experience resonate across cultures, time and any current mores.
The Rollings Stones will be forever a big part of my personality. They aren't even one of my favorite bands but I can tell you just about everything about their catalog. My father thinks he's Mick Jagger so it's been branded into my brain everything Rolling Stones. Legendary
Went to see them in the late 80's, awesome concert, they also had a 50 foot tall blow up doll on the stage. Never forget this concert
so sorry to hear of your tragic loss..my deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to you and family at this sad time..
You've got a whole family of rockers.

the most legit.
I'm so sorry for your loss, each life is so precious. You are in my prayers.

SHOUT OUT TO GRANDPA!!! This is my favorite Stones song.
Another great reaction. Love your honesty !
"Ruby Tuesday" & "As Tears Go By" are masterpieces!
First time watching. You seem to have an ear for the classics. I would love to see your reaction to Humble Pie’s “Black Coffee”.
So sorry for your loss. God bless and hang in there.

R.I.P. to Your Grandpa! THE B E S T Rolling Stones song! Greetings from Croatia!
I know what you're going through, I like so many others here have lost relatives and it isn't easy when we here or see something that reminds us of that person(s) but keep strong James.

Like the Doors sang "Music is your only friend, until the end...." Keep yr head up my man. Your feelings are valid and true and do not let anyone take you away from them.
One of my all time favorite song.
Hi, your grand dad has great taste, Steve from New Zealand.
Hang in there, your good heart and soul will ultimately carry you through the rough stretches. I enjoy your reactions.
I've had to face up to bouts depression and recurrent exhaustion for most of my life. I hear this song in my head until I crave hearing it and have to play it! You're gonna loooove this...! =)
Great Reactions dude. You definitely have an old soul very rare. Keep up the good work.
I'd have to look it up to be certain but I'm pretty sure that lyric should read "I want to see the sun / blotted out from the sky", not "flying high in the sky" lol.
Yeah pretty sure you're right x
That song is timeless.
Maybe you’ve done it already, but I love ‘you can’t always get what you want’ by the Stones.
Stones are the definition of Rock N Roll
Depression. A lot of people get it....and some can express it in ways that speak to those of us who understand. Glad you heard this today.
Music is a good way to find a voice and your way back.
You are not alone 🙏 😪 even I shed a tear
Dude. Much Love. Hang in there.
Great Song. Speaks to a bad mood like nothing else.
Paint It Black is a tremendous song.

One of my favorite Stones song.
Man, I just want to get some beers and talk about tunes! It’s always great to hear what people feel about music.
The Rolling Stones ... the greatest rock band of all time. IMO
The beat is infectious.
Great song! Adding to my playlist as well!
Brian Jones killed it on this song! So happy you related to this song but sorry for the circumstances. You did a great job. Thank you!
My condolences to you and your family.
I'm so glad you're getting better man
Great reaction, man. I'd recommend the Stones songs Gimme Shelter, Can't You Hear Me Knocking, Angie and Sympathy For the Devil.
Sorry for your loss, my children and I have always identified with this song. Another "oldie" is one from Eddie Cochran, Cut Across Shorty. Just one to enjoy.
I am so sorry for your loss, brother.
React to Behind Blue Eyes by The Who.
What's most striking is the difference between the tune, which is bouncy and energetic and the lyrics which are about depression, loss and death.
Hey Sweetie, love your reaction(s)! I heard this on the radio the other day and thought I'd love for you to experience it since it's always helped me when in certain times of depression. Your grandfather is an amazing dude if he suggested this! Salute!
sorry about your loss, my friend. Hang in there.
Grandpa has good taste in music.
