Good evening, Rod. This should be easy. That's how I start similar projects. Next thing I know, I made 10 trips to the shop and have 12 more tools and beginning to re-think the whole thing. Your project finished very nice and will be a useful item to have around. Thanks for the video and the lesson. Don't give up. God bless you & Semper Fi Matthew 11: 28
It looks terrific! Very satisfying to watch. My initial impression was to throw the cart away, but in the best category for: “Recycle & Restore” you scored a 10!
Beautiful! Can't believe it looks so good considering what you started with! Evidence of your amazing talent and ability. Thanks for sharing! God Bless
Nice cart restoration, MSgt Humphrey! This video was a nice change of pace for you. However, I will say I always enjoy your woodturning and carving videos. I always learn something new from them. Semper Fi
Thanks, brother! I'll get back to them. I need time out of the shop sometimes... it's about keeping my mind challenged and interests paired with creativity. I'm sure you understand. 😊
Good to see rebuild instead of replace. First though was use that you would use Marine plywood. Sorry- just couldn’t resist. Always enjoy your projects, still need a eraser to go with the pencil. God bless.
We have an old Radio Flyer wagon with the wooden body, I have already replaced the bottom once 20 or so years ago. looks like its about time to redo the entire wagon.
Mines larger 26" chrome wheels was in excellent condition when i got it at a estate sale , took off the handle and converted it into a trailer many years of use loading brush and plant cutting caused it's demise - Plan replace all the wood and using a vinyl office mat chairs roll on carpet for sides & bottom should provide many years of garden service with the mat water protection
Too far gone to use. Not so far gone as to go to the land fill. Only one thing to do and you did it. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.🙂🙂
Looks great! I love the green. You didn’t say if you did or not, but if you drill 2 or 3 holes in the lowest part of the bottom, it won’t rot nearly as fast.❤️🤗🐝
Nicely done! It's always frustrating when the bolts are too rusted to remove, let alone reuse. I'd probably use some water repellant spray on the inside, though, just to keep it from warping, though that's a little 'extra,' I guess.
One fantastic job. Like that green. Semper Fidelis and Happy 248th Birthday! Once a Marine, always a Marine!
It’s better than what you can buy.
Giving new life to something old makes you feel good.
Thanks so much! Agreed!

Great idea! Thank you!
You’ve certainly done that keep it up m8

Nice job rod .. now put a comfy bed in it and haul Edgar around with you on your walks...

MMM... Green. Everyone is a critic. 👍

Thank you! I do 😊 Very good idea. I'll do just that.
@@RHumphrey You’re most welcome❤️🤗🐝

Thanks very much! I might do that...
BUENA RESTAURACION
¡Gracias!
Better than the original. Mine rotted too.
👍👍👍
Thank you!
I have the same cart. What wheels did you use to replace the original.
For you remind me of my grandad a REME and my dad,if you could mend it use the parts they did. Thanks for passing on your knowledge.😘😘🙏🙏
Wow, such a nice compliment! Thank you so much!
What type of wood you recommend/use for the cart?
I used 1/2" plywood... the least expensive I could find. I'll last a long time protected by the paint and is easily replaceable if it gets damaged.
Looks great, Rod. How far into it were you when you asked yourself why am I doing this lol?
Bill
haha! Probably the second stubborn bolt... Thanks!
👌💯🇧🇷
Muito Obrigado!
You could have made a new frame while you were at it... 😄
lol, had to save the bones! 😁
