I have an early camp cookbook with recipes and tips, have to find it. It has a chapter on everything with spam! I love it, wife hates it. I want to share a tip from the past... Look for asbestos gloves next time you're at a cooking supply store, they can prevent a nasty burn! Safety third. Spam, it's what's for dinner! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Tony. I don't know if you saw my footage from visiting the Spam factory last year but it was awesome. I for some reason thought that Spam was not made of choice cut meat and it actually is. If you ever get a chance to visit the museum, it's really fun and very interesting
They looked delicious, I remember having a set of pans with the small one like that when I was a kid unfortunately long go gone 😢 Loves spam hope you have an awesome week my friend
Nice pan! Funny thing is I was watching your video about you finding a Trangia pan while I was cooking dinner on a Trangia. I still love that nova stove. Cant wait to see everything you have lined up for the week!
I really like it and I do believe that. It's easy to candy the outside and not get the inside warm enough. So I like to slow cook it so it gets really cooked. And the best is when you can get it to caramelize on the outside
Here is one for you brother, fun on a bun grind together one loaf of spam, one small onion, 1/2 pound cheddar cheese. Stir in condensed mushroom soup to moisten. Scoop out soft center of bun. Fill with mixture. Heat foil wrapped in oven or on grill. Hope you enjoy! Also have recipe called spam-aroni picnic salad! Your tip on slicing spam and butter with tortillas are so obvious I'm ashamed I didn't know till now... Thank you
You know what I was thinking? I wonder what it would like to take. One full can and put it in the smoker bast it with brown sugar and mustard, and smoke it for a few hours until it's candied.
Steve, Great finds as usual. I noticed you used the blade to strike your farro rod. I was always taught to use the backside of the blade to prevent dulling of blade. Do you notice and dulling or damage???
I have a serrated area up tight to the handle, I flattered a small section there, I try to hit the spot , so the outcome, Blade , Serrated area , striker area ,. Yes if you use the blade it will mess it up for sure.
@@doinsngoins I knew there was an event in Kentucky because I looked it up. I just didn’t think that was the one cause it’s at least half or two thirds away across the country, lol. Drive careful on your road trip and God Bless
I bet it would be really good if you cubed it up and then fried it real good so that it stayed crispy. I definitely would want it extra cooked to put it into a stew. Or goulash
Happy Spamtember. Enjoy Turkey Foot.
Another great video. Cool stove, cool pans, cool shirt.. I've never tried spam yet. But it looks good.

Great job. I gotta go thru my back pack and haversack and get my stuff ready for tf. Ill see you there.
I'm so far behind unpacking. I keep getting distracted as I'm outfitting. The van at the same time as packing, so you know how that can go.
I haven't forgotten your fuel tank though
Neat pan... love corn tortias too

You spam Video!!!!! Sweet
It's an acquired taste for sure...some days yes, some days no! lol Will definitely need to try it on a tortilla with cheese now...lots of cheese!! lol

Thank you for your kindness and supporting the channel 🙏
I use a cheese slicer to cut spam thin then I put it all in a zip lock and grab and use it. as needed
Great idea. I'll have to try that. That sounds perfect 👍
Thank you for stop and buy and sharing. I appreciate it. Hope you had a great day
Steve; what is Turkeyfoot. God Bless
You're fixing to find out my friend. We are leaving right now for a 5 day excursion to Kentucky. Where we're all gonna meet in the woods 44 days

Just had goulash, now Im wondering how it would taste with chunks of Spam.
