My first experiece with BG was in 2009, and it was by accident. I was playing the computer game Sacred 2 which had a secret quest. The end of the quest was an in-game concert with - you guessed it - Blind Guardian (song: Sacred Worlds). I was so blown away by that experience. Been a fan since then. If you have a chace to see them live - definetly go for it! I was lucky to have seen them this summer on the Dong Open Air Festival (yes, it's really called like that because it takes place on a small hill called Dongberg). Their new Album "The God Machine" is great. "Violent Shadows" is one song from that Album, my favorite song from this Album is "Secrets of the American Gods". Love your reaction 🤘🎸
I dont do the Power Metal thang often. But I do give credit where credit is due, and in this case, Blind Guardian are masters of this craft. These fellas are legendary status in my book.
Dude!!!! BG and Iced Earth did a Super Group together called Demons and Wizards, and they have a song called "Midas Disease" and Hansi was in FULL-ON Blackie Lawless mode Love me some Blind Guardian. Saw in concert a few years back in Detroit and it was AWESOME. Killer show - and I almost got crushed against the barricade when they started playing "Tanelorn: Into the Void" and the whole audience surged like a giant metal beast
Saw them yeaaaaars ago at Wacken, no better live band in the world, imho. Never seen a crowd as animated as theirs. Always a pleasure to answers Hansi's call for some participation! BG is legendary.

Violent Shadows is off of the newest album. It probably was the first single released as to why it has so many listens. Never seen them live as I don't think they tour the US much.

Bobby Simpson has got his fingers in the metal pies, man!! 🤘 This was a split for me....I was OK with it for the most part, some great riffs....and I do agree on the Blackie Lawless vibe in the voice on this one....

Always loved Blind Guardian. The album you mention "Nightfall in Middleearth" is very good. The song "Mirror mirror" is one of the highlights.
