After leaving teaching HS history, started teaching occasionally at an alternative adult high school when I had a full class, fell into reselling vintage and antiques because I liked the this history and pretty things , I totally understand talking to people when you are out sourcing or buying it for yourself, I find it so interesting to see what people are going to do with their treasure and also because I work from home and though I love my fur babies, they don’t talk back , they do but it seems to get lost in translation
Your candleabra is marked Quadruple plate which definitely dates it to antique, since silver companies stopped quadruple plating by the Ninteen-teens. I have an old video featuring antique silverplate if you want to check it out!!!!
I absolutely love, love, love the teapot with flowers & birds! Would love to have it! Sure someone has bought it by now😢.Really like all of your treasures! Would love to find some of your goodies in the “0le South! (Louisiana to be exact!) Terrific thrifting! Merry Christmas to all and best wishes for a Happy healthy New Year! With love! Linda
I'm so glad you loved it! It's available on my ebay store if you need to have it in your life. It's called "Ellgreave Wood & Sons Teapot." Here's the link to my ebay store: www.ebay.com/str/worthingtonhome
Been enjoying watching all your videos. I have to make a good trek around Connecticut tomorrow and going to be passing through Colchester, making a plan to stop in and check it out. I am in the market for a few things so really looking forward to going in a checking out your new booth!
❤khris Loved the video and would love to meet you and chat. Is your booth open yet? Cause you keep talking about adding things to the booth. And I thought you said the 13th. Of December, but I don't remember everything so loved everything you got. And you got some lovely things and that's that tabletop can deliver is just to die for. You have to show us it when it's polished up a bit.I like the patina as well in certain areas. Stay safe.Stay warm and enjoy the warmth of the holiday season❤
I was curious about the leather jacket, so I Googled it. I didn’t find any info on the company or its origin, but vintage and pre-owned jackets of that brand go for over $80 on line. Great find.
That fire bucket is a real treasure even as a reproduction. In colonial times and beyond, a fire bucket was usually hung by the front door so it could be easily accessed in the event of any structure fire in the town. Residents were expected to quickly show up with their bucket to participate in the fire suppression effort. Buckets were usually marked with the name of the family that owned them so they could be safely returned. In some towns there were laws requiring all residents to maintain a fire bucket at their door. Fines could be levied for noncompliance. Notice that the bucket is smaller in diameter at the bottom and wider at the top. This makes it very purposefully unsteady so one wouldn’t be tempted to use it for any other reason than fire suppression. So interesting, huh?
I think the basket is in the style of Tobacco Leaf drying/harvest baskets...I think they usually are made larger, so that one might be inspired by the older ones. When you pulled out those tiny fashion doll purses I squealed....so cute!🤣 My favorite find you took home was that leather bucket😍 Such a lovely color!!
❤ Loved that teapot. You got absolutely gorgeous. It's just so pretty and familynine❤
I'm so glad you like it! I loved the peacock!

Loved the silver candelabra with the patina. And your fur babies as always ❤

Thank goodness you took home the Rowe canisters. That was an awesome find.
I'm so glad you liked them! I hope they sell at the store. If not, I'll bring them home and list them singly on ebay. I just hate to break up a set.
You speak so honestly, it makes me smile,!
Haha! I'm glad I can make you smile! 💕💕
St Michael (with regards to the coat) is a label used by retailer Marks & Spencer’s in the UK up until around 2000. Good quality item
That's so helpful - thank you for telling me! I hope to get it listed in the next day or two - I'm running behind.

Great finds. I love the candelabra from Eric’s father. It’s always so wonderful to see all the pets and I consider them my video friends.❤
Awwww, I love that they're your video friends! If they knew that they would show up at your doorstep begging for treats! 😸😸🐶🐶

I love all of the history - thanks for sharing! ❤❤ It's so beautifully made - a reproduction for sure, but a high-quality one!
Zach lives in NH, Of course he is a flannel guy! Love it!
It just makes sense, right? 🤣🤣
I have just started seeing Blue Ridge too…and bought it!
Isn't it beautiful? It's amazing to me that it doesn't command higher prices.
Use the fire bucket for an umbrella/cane holder
That would be so perfect - nice suggestion!
Good morning, so excited that you went by the bazaar, one day we will run into each other, thanks for sharing all your haul. ♥️
It would be great to meet - if you ever see me, be sure to say hello! (The bazaar was so much fun!)
❤
Morning!!
Good evening! I'm responding to you at 8:47 pm. I hope you had a great day!
The basket is a tobacco basket.
Of course! I should have known that - thank you!!!!
Good morning 😊
Good evening! I'm responding a little bit late, but better late than never, right?
Thanks for he share! Do you know if any similar places in Northern Massachusetts/Southern New Hampshire?
Not that I can think of at the moment, but I'm sure they're out there. 🤔🤔
I see a cat looking outside, behind you in the window!
Oh my gosh - it cracks me up when they're in the background like that! They're little scene stealers!
Your camera looks real crisp this morning. Did you get a new camera? 😊
Nope - I could really use one. Maybe Santa is listening? Sometime the natural light helps if I film at a good time of day.
