So sorry, Kayla I should’ve waited till the end of your video to realize you were giving that to Kinsley as a gift. She will love it. It is beautiful, I was going to buy it for my granddaughter, who loves horses too. Maybe we’ll find another one! Love this video!
Hi Guys! Love you!! That egg holder is for SOFT boiled eggs, actually. But I guess you could use them for anything. Watch some old British movies. Make a soft boiled egg, so there's still a runny yolk, cut off the top of the egg shell, and dunk your toast in the yummy yolk. And eat the rest with a small spoon. Very Downton Abbey.
22:34 Those fair aisle Izod sweaters were so popular in the 80’s. All you need is matching gross grain ribbon for the hair. Very preppy. The radiometer spins when sunlight heats the black panels more than the white panels. Kayla- consider keeping Hot Hands in your back pockets on cold days.
she is correct about the Germans and cleanliness... i dated a guy in high school who's parents were German immigrants..his mom starched and ironed his tighty whities.. We went to the ocean once with my family and he left a bag in our car with a change of clothes..my mother saw the underwear and told me .. "that one will be high maintenance" Ha ha. Despite his mom.. he was very special to me..died way too young ..
Yes, it’s for soft boiled eggs, you crack the top bit of the egg, then peel it a quarter of the way down. Serve it with a slice of buttered toast that you cut into strips. They call them eggy soldiers in U.K. ( where I have lived for 31 years. Absolutely loved the brass wall sconces! Stunning!
I took German in high school too. I remember quite a bit. I loved it ,graduated with a 96.2 missed winning the German prize and rose bowl by .02 points at graduation 45 years ago.😊
Stefan Edberg was a Swedish tennis player. He was world no. 1 for a time and won lots of major tournaments including Wimbledon. This was in the 80s and 90s.
That monkey is steiff named jocko and the bulldog puppet is steiff as well..I'm surprised she didn't say they are all steiff..how come u guys didn't pick up the rest? They are all made the same.
Hi Kayla and Matt another great video! That monkey 🐒 was very old 😳 like me I had that same one when I was growing up. Oh no I just gave away my age 😳 I don't know if it would have been worthwhile to have bought it but y'all did get some great things today 👍 Take care and have a Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 Blessings your friend Joyce from California HUGS ❤️ 🫂 🤗!!
Kayla, before you buy a new toster, unplug your toaster, and turn it over to clean it yourself. The bottom tray comes off, so you can brush the crumbs out with a new toothrush. Wash and dry your tray before you put it back together. If you do this regularly, you'll have many more years of use from your toaster. Happy toasting! Happy thrifting! Love your videos!
A " deviled egg holder" is called an egg plate. I have my great grandma's and my late mother-in-law's. They both had good taste as they are the same pattern lol
That is a soft boiled egg holder. Very fond memories as a child in the late fifties, sleepover at an aunt's house who had those. Always felt special to have eggs for breakfast at her house.
Class is now in session Matt & Kayla: 😆 The soft boiled egg served in a cup (looks like an oversized hour glass jigger) is called soft boiled egg cup or in the UK a "dippy" cup. A dippy cup is called that because you dip your toast in the egg. WooHoo
Close, a poached egg is gently boiled without the shell. Soft boiled is in its shell they place it in the cup and tap off the top of the shell, my grandpa loved them.
The devil's mask you looked at briefly. . .from the 1970s. . .my brother was (and is) a devil for Halloween. Thank you for doing the photo opportunity!!
This video should have been titled "Fun Facts" with Kayla holding a clipboard like a teacher! 😂 but I must admit, I really do enjoy learning those little factoids! And I also enjoy your realness. 😊
Kayla Matt two beautiful estates sales. First one had such wonderful unique animals. The furniture. Everything great. Second one nice . The knives were sharp great resale. You guys did well. So glad to have good things to resale paper weigh was great.
I love watching your videos. I would love to see your house all decorated with all the treasures you have found, I can't even imagine how beautiful your tree is. Hope you're Christmas is everything you dreamed of. Merry Christmas from Centralia Washington.
The Ice buckets at the 2nd sale were gold! I would've been carrying them on my arm like Goldilocks & filling then up with treasures, like the bobbleheads, & your fab choices of the steiff & jellyfish!!! Woo woo🎉🎉🎉🎉
Great Estate sales today.🎉😮😍 You guys found some really cool items for resale.😲 Love the Christmas tree in the first place 🎄 it's so nice.🤯🤔👀 The Stief 🐕 dog and the jellyfish paperweight are my favorite.😳👏 Take care guys.👍🔥❤️💪👌
Just a tip that may help clean the crumbs out of your toaster. I use a soft long hair watercolour brush. Unplug first please. Lol. Then I lightly sweep the end of the bristles along the elements and the bottom where the crumbs are stuck. I do a bit and then turn toaster upside down and give a good shake in the sink or dry tub. Just wipe up the crumbs with a damp paper towel. Hope this helps.❤
Soft boiled eggs. I think I’ve heard them called 8 minute eggs. You put egg in holder, tap the top with a spoon, eat out of shell. I’ve only seen it in movies, lol!. Love your content.
That box of silverware used to be called Bronzeware when I lived in the orient. The handles were old ammunition casings, and I think my set was from Thailand and had over 150 pieces, including tons of serving pieces.
Another great video and cool finds! Not sure if you know that the jellyfish paperweight glows in the dark a little after holding a flashlight on it, the glow fades and is really neat. I have a paperweight collection and that one is one of my favorites, mine is the same color. You guys may want to check into getting tires before they reatart the strike again for the dock workers. They're starting it again in January, not sure the date but tires are on the list of items for prices going up on because of the strike. Might be able to save some big $ if you purchase sooner than later. Just a heads up. As always you guys make the sales fun, or even just trips to the thrifts stores.❤ I hope you two and the kids have the best and happiest Christmas ever and a fantastic New Year!🎄🎅✨️🎉🎆
Egg cups - used to hold/serve a soft boiled egg, like a hard boiled egg but the yolk is not cooked, the top part of the shell os removed and egg opened, eaten with a small spoon or knife to spread onto a cut piece of toasted bread. there are actual kitchen devices made for removing the top part of the eggshell.
The jellyfish paperweight I bought at Home Goods Store here in MI. Paid around $6.95. Homegoods has some beautiful glass items. Will fool you, thinking high end glass. Prices are usually under $20.
Hi Guys, You should have picked up that Count Dracula puppet. I was yelling at the TV…lol. Lov ya both! I make great deviled eggs but I’m in Dayton, OH. It would be difficult to Ship.
Well pricing was high at the first sale. I'm seeing that alot more where we live for estate sales too. Love the Billy Madison reference and was laughing right along. Kayla your line delivery was perfect! Love the paperweight you got at the second sale, very BEAUTIFUL! Great finds! Great video!
My sister in law's mother is from Germany. She has many of the egg holders. She uses one every morning. She puts a soft boiled egg in it. She then cracks the top of the shell open and scoops out bites with a spoon.
So unusual, the stoneware on the fireplace is the same set I have, got in 1978. Lennox was one of the first companies to come out with stoneware that would go from freezer to microwave.
Merry Christmas from New Hampshire. You have to show us your Christmas decorated house! You collect Christmas all year and I just envision a Christmas explosion in your home. Please show us. Estates sales are usually by people with money who can afford to travel and own great things. This is why we see such an array of beautiful objects.
Thanks for watching!! If you missed it, make sure to check out Matt's video from yesterday. It's a good one!!!

Miss... You really should invest in a heated vest or jacket since you don't have any insulation on your bones 😅
Stay warm pretty lady 💖🫂
Kayla I posted this in comments but thought I would put in reply to you. Very interested in horse necklace. Please let me know if you haven’t sold it.
@robingage2855 she's giving it to daughter as xmas present 😊
So sorry, Kayla I should’ve waited till the end of your video to realize you were giving that to Kinsley as a gift. She will love it. It is beautiful, I was going to buy it for my granddaughter, who loves horses too. Maybe we’ll find another one! Love this video!
@@robingage2855She just said she's giving it to Kinsley for Christmas 🎄
Taiwanese is not Thailand, two separate countries. Taiwan and Thailand.
Thank you Ivy I was like huh? What? My Daddy was stationed in Thailand early to mid 70's & yes all 5 kids in my family know all the cuss words 🙄 😅

The British name is "Dippy Egg and Soldiers". A soft boiled egg and with it the toast cut in strips are called soldiers. Fun!
I’m 75 and my mom served soft boiled eggs in an egg cup. She sort of collected them. Great way to eat these types of eggs.
We called them coco's. Lol
I first saw one when I was small on The little princess 👸 with Shirley Temple 🕍 ❤
Thanks for saying this! I said the same thing in a previous video.
We’ve been hearing about these deviled eggs for some time now. Someone get Matt some deviled eggs!!!! 😂😂😂
Kayla what was with the British accent?
22:37 Kayla! You slept on this Vintage Snoopy Baby Belle Plushy! $50 item
You guys bypassed a Charlie’s Angel doll(Sabrina) and a 6million dollar man! Idk what the prices were, but both are pretty collectible in that shape!
Yellow double egg cup is for soft boiled eggs. Hard boiled do not require the support of cup shape.
The shape of the shell for soft boiled and hard boiled eggs is the same.
Lmao! 😆 Great comments today people 👌 👍 👏
Nice snag on the Stefan Edberg set. We tennis fans were going, "Get it, get it, get it!"
You both are so polite to fans who want a pic. Very cool.
You passed 2 plush Snoopy's, they sell out fast @ $69 😢
I’m from England and we have soft boiled eggs in an egg cup and cut toast into fingers called soldiers to dip in the soft yolk 🤗
Oh, that's what another comment meant when he said eggs and soldiers. I had never heard of toast called that. 😊

When you rushed through the garage I thought I saw some old barbie cases in a box under the table

The lavender sweater looks wool and it looks like it is shrunk. That estate sale seems like a dud!
Thats why she said its for Kinsley 😊 A child to keep warm in Winter 🙏😇💙🙌
Stefan Edberg was a Swedish tennis player. He was world no. 1 for a time and won lots of major tournaments including Wimbledon. This was in the 80s and 90s.
Charley's Angels and a Bionic Man. Bringing back my childhood memories.
That Barbie doll was Sabrina, wasn’t it? So many flashbacks for me in that house!
@@ale7564 That is who it looked like to me. I had all of them when they first came out.

She said she's been using her old one for 14yrs now & wants to get one with wider slots for Sophie & Kinsley's bagels 🥯 😉
The crumbs can potentially start on fire. Please empty the toaster of crumbs or get a new one

How do you pass up the six million man action figure there goes 50 ta 90 dollars
Ikr? 🙄 After all that money they spent on him to be stronger 💪 faster! 😉😁
Real tree. No fluffing. 🎄
Kayla, make your man some deviled eggs. They’re easy to make, there are millions of recipes on Pinterest. Good luck.
I liked when Matt asked you if you wanted to take a bath he’s so funny
That Lauren shirt shot was epic.😂
Another great video, I always look forward to both your videos. Seasons Greetings from the UK.

Hi from Canada. Happy holidays! There were more Steiff items in that basket, but might have been too expensive to flip.
Merry Christmas 🎄
Snoopy is very collectible. I would have been tempted to get him, simply because he was wearing a dress!

Tires is a penny guage. If you put the penny in and can see the top of Lincoln’s head, you need tires.
There is a really cool, cool gold leaf mirror looked antique hanging in the garage
How funny to see that "Pass Out" game in the toy closet. LOL Drinking game, for those who do not know. I only know due to a family member had one.
Sureee Tabitha we believe you 🙄 NOT! 😂 Jkn! 🙏😇💙🙌
49:00 FYI A Sicilian Cart pulled by a donkey. That was a cheaper tourist type but they make pottery ones that can be very pricey.
You left a lot of money on the table at the beginning with the toys on the table in the garage. I wish I had been there.

Did the horse necklace sell? I want it, if haven’t sold how can I get it, where is it listed?
Thank you
It's being gifted for Xmas 😊
I keep getting a giggle when you call egg cups deviled egg holders. That would be a disaster to hold a deviled egg in!
With my family, could you imagine how many egg cups per person 😳😳🤯🤣🤣🤣
Those cups are for soft boiled eggs..
Someone has to have said Billy Madison by now right?? Best line ever! 😂
The belt Matt asked if it was bucks and Kayla said she thought ballet slippers. Well I thought golf bags. 😂
and I saw tennis shoes! LOL
At least your bathroom came with blue fixtures - ours were pink!
@gwenbrack5311
Love the pink , my aunt had an all pink bathroom! Thought it was fabulous

I have a paper weight like the one you got with the jellyfish in it. I got mine at a Goodwill.
Hey! 👋 🇬🇧 did you know, in 16th century devilled eggs were called farce eggs. Devilled eggs term is British and was first named in print in 1786.
