What to Eat with CKD!!
Most common question asked by my patient is what can they eat when they are suffering from CKD. Also what they should Avoid when they have kidney disease. Different foods have different content of potassium , phosphorus, sodium and protein and kidney diet can be different based on the blood levels of these electrolytes and stage of CKD. It should be individualized and should be adopted under the supervision of a Nephrologist but some foods are prohibited especially in stage 4 and 5 when your GFR is less than 30-45. In this second renal diet video I have simplified for common people what foods they can safely eat and what they should limit. Don’t listen to poorly trained specialists who will stop your water, green leafy vegetables and high biological value protein sources when you Don’t Have to !!!

My mother is on Dialysis since 2 years. We r giving her diet in the same pattern as u have prescribed. She urinates daily at least 1600 ml in 24 hrs. All elctrolites are in normal range. Hapititus B and C are negative. No retention of water. No heart n liver problems. Dialysis twice a month with uf goals 300ml, 4 hrs and 0.5 heprine uria increases up to 100 maximum after 15days and creatinine up to 5-6
