- Southwest Gas and the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada shed light on the rise in utility bills. The utility company pointed to usage and the high price of natural gas purchased a year ago. Now, they're requesting more money to cover expenses

Massive corruption among local bureaucrats. They hire all their consultant buddies and have massive unnecessary construction projects all of which giving them millions in kickbacks.
Term limits on local bureaucrats are needed.

How about my bill last year at this time was 65 dollars. This month on my bill it says I used less than last year and my bill is 188.00

Wholesale Gas prices are back to pre-Russian invasion averages. So who is raising prices to SWG? The US has so much Gas they want to export it - these price increases don't make sense.

This is your state ( water goes to lithium miners countless factories) NV Energy has to charge you to pay the city’s lights and countless TV’s and a new sphere ( don’t be silly solar doesn’t work at night) the natural gas is just a monopoly ~ like your car insurance ~ nothing to do with California but you are now just as expensive.
I Converted my house to all electric after going solar a few years back. All the utilities are a rip off.
When the government and the industry “giants” gain profit for investors and share holders the people lose.
I love how they can't be bothered to report the actual executive compensation numbers even though they are a matter of public record & anyone can see them with a quick google search. If you do look them up prepare yourself first & be sitting down.
Its not just Vegas, its all of Nevada! The monthly fees have gone through the roof.

You don’t need natural gas in Las Vegas. Use heat pumps for space heating and water heating.

The governor has been the reason for the increases. He is the one backing the utility industry. Money over morals. Stop acting like Las Vegas is a island and we are paying the price people pay if they lived in the remote pacific. It’s crap.
