      No he wasn't, u should look this with nuances not complete black and white. A man who killed somany people could never be a good person. But but but in reality there are somany leaders around the world who r responsible for killing thousands or millions like Obama, bush and many more. The fact that worries me a lot about us is that they making blunders after blunders after blunders. In Iraq they invaded it killed millions, destroyed the city, displaced millions and leave the country in a complete mess which led to civil war then became the cradle of Isis. The worst part is that this trend is still continuing with likes of Libya, Syria, Afghanistan and now they are doing the same blunder in Ukraine.

    Whenever I see Iraq now, I remember the time, in 2003 evening, the Live Television broadcast of US invasion of Iraq. I was a little boy back then, playing at a friend's house while my dad and my friends dads watched the TV. Debating and commenting about the invasion, Dad saying how americans are foolish and deliberate in their attack for Iraq FOR OIL. (Yes It was for OIL you all know that so don't sugar coat it) I was ignorant and not caring as it was just some conflict in some part of the world. I remember the live explosions and gunfire at night. Yet i was oblivious to the fact that I was watching History happening right there at the moment, How one dictator who had an entire nation in his hands, finally dragged out like a lost beggar in a ditch and publically hanged. Brutally as his regime was..... then the constant aftermath of Insurgency and chaos. Every day a news about Iraq was about hundred people died in some explosion or the other, To the point where I asked my parents. "Do people still exist in Iraq after all the explosions and death.?" The Iraqi people are now a shadow of their former selves when i see it. Some of their citizens when interviewed spoke how they revelled when the toppling of Saddam's regime. When that statue was pulled down and broken, Then now they wished atleast he was back, It was the saying, " Better the devil you know, than the Devil you don't know. " Look at the world we live in dear reader, You and me are forever witnesses for part of this Sad history.

I use to see the air conditioner buses, many many of them everyday, taking US and other Coalition soldiers from the Kuwait airport and the US bases to a place called Abdalli which was near the Iraq border. I remember the day, when the signal was given to advance into Iraq. There was a mad rush to all the super markets as people in Kuwait bought loads of food stuffs and super markets were empty in no time. Buying bottle water was not easy, as most of the bottled water was sold to the troops. After a few days, we heard the sound of bombs going off and one went off on the Kuwait beach road, but no one was killed. Kuwait was safe, as these were stray missiles that manage to come in. are you really sure he was voted in in 2000? lets say that what happened in Florida was legitimate which I highly doubt, given that he had his brother and his cousins and best friends working on the case, he lost the national vote. That means that the majority of Americans didn't want him to begin with. Now your system might be different than others, but in most country the nominee who gets the most vote in the country wins.

    Seems like america turned on him cause they had to fill the power vacuum if they knew saddams regime would fall soon. they were maybe afraid of who could come in his place. idk much about the history but it seems like that would be a major motivation

    • @Ruder6163
      @Ruder6163 5 місяців тому

      That’s not accurate. The US turned on Saddam in 1990 when he invaded Kuwait, at that point Saddam was a strong regional player, he had the strongest military in the Middle East. The US viewed his regional hegemony as a threat to lsraeI and so they destroyed his military in the 1991 gulf war but left him in power because they feared the instability that the fall of his regime would bring. More importantly, Americans where’s till suffering from “Vietnam syndrome”. Bush senior did not want to get the US stuck in another long term asymmetric war that would have been unpopular with the American people. lsraeI and their constituents in the Bush administration Iobbied heavily for the 2003 invasion. I’d suggest you look up a document called The CIean Break Memo. Most of the individual who wrote the memo wound up in the Bush Jr White House. The 1991 gulf war and a few goals, 1) destroy Iraqs military to get rid of this X factor in the region that is not friendly with lsraeI 2) Stabilize the oil industry in the region 3) reinstall the Sabah regime of Kuwait. The 2003 invasion is motives are all in the Memo I listed above, the war was brought about by the lsraeI Iobby.
