Seems like america turned on him cause they had to fill the power vacuum if they knew saddams regime would fall soon. they were maybe afraid of who could come in his place. idk much about the history but it seems like that would be a major motivation
That’s not accurate. The US turned on Saddam in 1990 when he invaded Kuwait, at that point Saddam was a strong regional player, he had the strongest military in the Middle East. The US viewed his regional hegemony as a threat to lsraeI and so they destroyed his military in the 1991 gulf war but left him in power because they feared the instability that the fall of his regime would bring. More importantly, Americans where’s till suffering from “Vietnam syndrome”. Bush senior did not want to get the US stuck in another long term asymmetric war that would have been unpopular with the American people. lsraeI and their constituents in the Bush administration Iobbied heavily for the 2003 invasion. I’d suggest you look up a document called The CIean Break Memo. Most of the individual who wrote the memo wound up in the Bush Jr White House. The 1991 gulf war and a few goals, 1) destroy Iraqs military to get rid of this X factor in the region that is not friendly with lsraeI 2) Stabilize the oil industry in the region 3) reinstall the Sabah regime of Kuwait. The 2003 invasion is motives are all in the Memo I listed above, the war was brought about by the lsraeI Iobby.

@swepa2 AND WHAT ABOUT STALIN,BUSH???
@IzzyFizzy proof?
The 2003 invasion is motives are all in the Memo I listed above, the war was brought about by the lsraeI Iobby.
he loved children so much
We the people of America do not know the extent of anything like we would like to, if we did it would change everything...
14 years ago?.. really?
Why did it all happen...?
Or the important question for who did US do it for...?
The mistake was not finishing him off in 1991 at the end of the first Gulf War.
saddam was a good man
He was a murderer you fool...
Same as Libya
Hey Im from California. I wanna know what u Iraqis think about the US killing him?
R u alive now. Hey👋👋👋
Saddam was declared war upon because he wouldn't give the US(yes, the US, not America, America is a continent, although many seem to ignore it) his country's petrol for a cheap price
I'd say RIP, but death is more like emptiness than rest
You must mean a lot if it took a list of countries including the giant usa just to bring one man down.
Sadly, Latif is correct about most Americans. And it's only gotten worse.

It's spooky!
I like how these Muricans try to belittle Saddam with their descriptions and how they speak of him.. were they here for WMD's or personal issues with him? No matter how hard you try to make him look weak he will forever be a great man in our eyes. This only teaches us about life.. people get sick, they lose wealth, power, ability to speak or walk.. it's life.. but atleast he lived honorably n was redpected..
