    13:32 not sure if you've invested in these yet, or for anyone watching this in the future, I've got the Gear Wrench Cable Hose Camp Pliers ( part # 82115 ) and they are extremely useful for these hose clamps.

    Finally getting mine back together, and my upper radiator hose to crossover pipe wobbles about a millimeter when connected. Like at 11:03 yours looks pretty solid, and all my other connections are solid. New crossover pipe, new hose with o-ring.
    I had the same issue with the lower radiator hose to aluminum coolant flange pipe that's connected to the block. Took a day's break, came back in and hooked up perfectly in about 30 seconds.

    Doing this job now. Even with locking hose clamp pliers its a bitch. Why they make a hose with so many connections is beyond me! Also, you might try taking apart worm-drive clamp and reassemble it around thermostat hose instead of taking pipe off again.?
    Anyways- thanks for the videos- i watched them 5x before attempting and it really helped!

      I tried removing the clamps but there was not enough space. The trick is to position the clamp on the thermostat hose on top before installing the coolant pipe. Not on the sides. There are markings on the hose. Good luck! 👍🏽

    What are those awesome wooden stands that you use under the car as jack stands ? Are they some kind of dense wooden seats ?

      Those are actually kitchen tools used to pound various kinds of foods. The kind of wood used to make them is very strong.

    @That African Audi DIYer - Can I send you some hose clamp pliers? I bought some on Amazon and they work really well. Let me know if I can buy some for you. I’d like to say thanks for all of your videos.

      I appreciate your generous offer but shipping is going to be too expensive and the whole process will be complicated. I have since purchased proper hose clamp pliers so I should be good from now on. Thanks for thinking about me though. I am very grateful for the kind thought 🙏🏽

    Amazing video.. have recently been watching your channel as I have a 2006 Audi A6 C6 3.2 FSI Quattro. After replacing the serpentine belt, I have noticed a coolant leak at the part you are pointing at @ 15:40. I can see coolant spilling out of the top hose clamp. What do you suggest I should do to fix this? Your response will be much appreciated brother 💙🙏

    • @ThatAfricanGuy
      @ThatAfricanGuy  2 роки тому +1

      Thank you! Access to that area requires that you remove the front bumper cover and pull the front lock carrier to service position, drain out coolant and remove the accessory belt. Links to videos in the description. You must have a replacement of the small hose (part number: 06E121058D) and the hose clamps x2 (part number: N90687001) on hand just in case. It is likely somebody did this exact job on the car but either damaged the hose or hose clamps, or did not place the hose clamps correctly. It is not easy to get there but you can do it with patience and the right tools.

      Hello again, I have ordered the hose and two clamps you recommended me with. Would you be able to provide the part number for the oil sensor? Also, is there a way to check the oil pressure for this car?

    • @ThatAfricanGuy
      @ThatAfricanGuy  2 роки тому

      @@stergosmak Why do you want to replace the oil pressure sensor? It is in an impossible location. If you are not mechanically inclined and do not have experience, I do not recommend you try any of these. Better have a specialized shop do it for you. The front leak job is not easy and the rear oil pressure sensor job is twice as difficult because of lack of space.
