Sounds good but those whole seeds are a problem. I think it would be better to use powdered spices. The children keep taking out rhe seeds from their mouths - irritated- and they don't want to eat it again. Be considerate of our children.

Wrong. First yoghurt isn't cooked and the cooked onion and spices mixture is first cooled so the gut friendly bacteria is still alive. 2nd even if the Yogurt is cooked the protien, and carb etc is still there.

Proteins in yogurt get denatured when the slightest of heat is applied - unless you have completely cooled the masala in a fridge and then added yogurt, you are going to lose the proteins. The reason yogurt is added to indian cuisines is to give it a flavor profile of sourness / tanginess - it is never used as a substitute for nutrition because other dishes already contain the nutrients from other vegetables / meats. Your dish is devoid of any nutritional value and eating with rice only provides carbs.
