i seen the videos 3 times already because of how satisfying it is to see the artist rebuilding his kitchen, hes no carpenter, hes a artist true and true. the attention to the smallest detail, all the decisions made in order for the most satisfaction from your work, the way he made the flooring grain match perfectly even with the access door, wish i could learn from him.

    Another fine job !
I love the hardware kit for the access panel. The quality wood is incredible . I would be curious to know what is the cost of material for this floor. I guess the equivalent in Canada would be a premium pine grade floorboard.
The only thing, this wood specie will dent easily no ? For a kitchen humm I don’t know.
Ps I remove what I said last time about the strange design : the door frame being lower than the floor level.
Now I understand the lower aera Kamachi modification that he did to match the door 👍

I have to say that the saws cutting on the pull seems so much better than the English cut on the push. It seems much more accurate and also easier to work with. The same with the wooden planes mainly cutting on the pull (although it looks like they can be used both ways) and being wooden they seem so much lighter and easier to handle than the English cast metal planes.
