Hi there, I was a newbie at taking videos and editing back then. Please have a look at my new video which is less than 2mins 🙏🏼 ua-cam.com/video/7K1P9LJGx6Q/v-deo.htmlsi=z4y1kM47lBEgCtUq
This is very yummy! It's even yummier than all of the chicken rice in Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia I've ever tasted before, I'm glad that i chose to follow this recipe out of so many other videos i watched, simple and yummy, my Serbian family loved it (I'm Indonesian btw) 🥰 🇮🇩 🇷🇸 Thank you for sharing this yummy recipe😋 Btw i used the chicken stock to cook the chicken rice, it was extremely delicious 😍
I have eaten this so many times having lived in Singapore for 6 years sadly I no longer live there, But I can actually taste this recipe from this video brilliant job makes me hungry and homesick to be back there again❤
I feel you having lived in Singapore for 21yrs and that’s why I tried to make it at home. Although it is not the best but it reminds me of Singapore and its as good as it can get at home ☺️
WOOOOW. Thank you for explaining the whole process with such ease. The glaze on that chicken, the hot steamy fragrant rice and your work on whole video itself is more than commendable. Jatti tarif gareni kam chha. (Please upload more awesome recipes like this) - From your number 1 fan 💜
Sorry for the late reply but it is in the description. Otherwise you can watch my latest video which is less than 2 minutes and shows you start to finish how to make this 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Hi, I am sorry for not replying back to you before as I had given up on my youtube blog. I know my old video is a little confusing. Please have a look at the new video I have recently uploaded. I think it’s clearer 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Hi, this video isn’t the best 😭 because I was a newbie at taking videos and editing that time.. If you serve it after boiling and rubbing with the sauces, it’s Hainanese Chicken Rice but we like Roasted version so I roasted it further… there’s a new video Home Style Singapore Roasted Chicken Rice that’s presented better and the video is less than 2mins… Not sure whether this link works ua-cam.com/video/7K1P9LJGx6Q/v-deo.htmlsi=z4y1kM47lBEgCtUq
@@laxranaa got it. Thanks a lot for reply and link. I will try Hainanese Chicken. For crispier version I’m after “Crispy Chicken” which is either Chinese or Malaysian and I believe it’s fried but also served similarly with rice and cucumbers. If I can’t find that then I’ll try your roasted version.
@@life_score yes, the hawkers deep fry in a long cylindrical fryer. Alas, I am just trying to make do at home. Do try my way, it tastes 80-90% authentic. Also, recently, I have started adding like a spoon of brown sugar and a spoon of oyster sauce on top of the soy sauce and sesame oil to the marination. And it tastes even more authentic 🥰🥰
Sorry for the late reply but this is how I make “roasted” version. In Singapore, I have seen hawkers deep fry in super long cylindrical pots of hot oil 😀
Best to use a plump chicken for this dish. So it fleshy and juicy. Sorry dear, thats not the way its cook but you entitled to yr style. No worries. Maybe drop the word... Singapore.
Is this really SOLELY Singapore's recipes? I've had this rice in Malaysia hawker stalls since more than 40 years ago.....even outside train stations they were already selling this chicken rice.
Not solely but I haven’t been to much of Malaysia and I can’t comment much… but since Malaysia and Singapore are next to each other, food and culture etc are similar 😁
Hahaha sorry I was a newbie that time and I know the video is not good 😮💨😮💨 please see new updated video which is less than 2mins and shows you how to make it start to finish 😁

Yesssss, you should use the chicken stock to cook 🥹🥹 I am sorry that I forgot to do so in the video 🫣🫣

Why add water to the rice and not the chicken stock?
I was a newbie at making videos then and being nervous made me forget steps 🥹🥹 I have a updated video now… which was recently posted 😅
nice .
🙏🏼🙏🏼
To boil the chicken n then marinate it is a short cut .
The bird will not absorb the marinade as it’s fresh.😊
I am confused with your comment 😀😀
I like to fry the rice in chicken fat. Also i think it would add more flavor if the rice is cooked in the chicken stock used to boil the chicken.
Agreed! I was a newbie at making videos then 🥹🥹 I have a more updated video now 🥰🥰

The Hungry Words heh heh lau khau
It looks pretty ease but how long do you roast in the oven & at what temperature? Thank for your reply
It says in video…roast for 30min at 200C
Sorry for the late reply but it is in the description. Otherwise you can watch my latest video which is less than 2 minutes and shows you start to finish how to make this 🙏🏼🙏🏼
U not suppose to vigorously boil the chicken like that. It will make your chicken meat tough instead of tender and slippery. Haiyaaaa....
Hahaha but it works fine for me leh
Sathi I am drooling all over my phone. What a perfectly made video sathi. Your chicken looks absolutely. That rice, in love with this video ❤️👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Foodieextreme Foodieextreme hehe and then my sis tells me you don’t use chicken stock to cook the rice 🤣🤣🤣
XD
Do you roast the chicken after boiling? So 45 min boiling and then another 30 min roasting?
Hi, I am sorry for not replying back to you before as I had given up on my youtube blog. I know my old video is a little confusing. Please have a look at the new video I have recently uploaded. I think it’s clearer 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Rekha Gauchan heh heh I am the funny star hai 🤣🤣
So was it served after boiling and garnishing or was it further roasted? Was it fried or baked in oven or what? So confusing
