The finished bike has a carbon sealed T25 style turbo with an HSR42 style carburetor + thunder products Thunderjet, which allows me to add or subtract fuel at wide open throttle with the twist of a knob. The finished bike was running on pump gas and 8 PSI of boost, the boost can go as high as 15PSI if you pull more timing and run E85 or E100.
Max boost can go as high as 12-13 on 110 race gas, but the cooling effect of E85 is much greater which is why you can go higher with boost on ethanol. I don't doubt that with Ethanol in the tank and 15PSI of boost, this bike would be capable of 130-140rwhp with a completely stock 1200 engine. Please keep in mind that the pre-2003 sportsters had less aggressive cams and also did not have the cylinder heads from the Buell XB like the 2004+ bikes do. Just putting a healthy set of cams on this bike would transform it. You could make similar numbers to a stock motor E85 high boost bike on 9PSI and pump 91. A Redshift 575 would be a great compliment to this kit, and is the cam this bike will eventually be getting.

I'm 65. My Grandpa was fond of saying "There's nothing wrong with a Harley that Dynamite can't fix." He rode all over the the Western US in the 1920's on a Harley. He was a surveyor for the Army Corps of Engineers. They gave him a WWI vintage Harley and a few spare parts and told him to have fun!

I’m 30 years old. Growing up my grandfather always told me to always be learning a skill. “If I have to much time where you don’t have anything to do why not learn something and separate yourself from the people who don’t put the effort in” I picked up a love for motorcycles because of him. Later on going to the motorcycle institute. The nostalgia hits really hard for me because me and him rebuilt my first motorcycle together. A 2012 “seventy two” custom. Every part of that motorcycle has been touched by me or him since I’ve owned it. Eventually went to a stage 1 build with it. I still have it and ride it all the time. He rides still every now and then on his 2008 Screaming Eagle springer. I have to pull out the FZ09 for those rides. He’s balls to the wall the whole ride doesn’t matter if we’re riding 5000 miles or 15 miles 😂

I'm not sure how many people realize the amount of effort that goes into producing a video like this. Constantly setting up the camera and angles, reviewing all the footage, and editing the video all takes a tremendous amount of time. I bet he spends as much if not more time on the video than he does building the bike. Absolutely epic. By far my favorite UA-cam channel 👍✌

Love the first shots. My dad taught me that every part that comes off gets cleaned immediately. That was my first job when he was teaching me to wrench. Later, as we prepped parts to go on, lots of parts aren't pained from the factory. I'd be painting the bare iron parts, before they'd get put on. It made a world of difference to the customers. It showed that we cared about them, and their cars. My dad had customers for decades. One lady brought him her Lincoln every three months, from '79 to '03, when she passed away. Her son came by and let dad know, dad was the one trusted to sell her car a few months later. He got a good price for the family, since it was in better than new condition. Edit as follows: I remember, back in the day, one of the ways we would tune in a bike's front shocks was by experimenting with different oils. Everything from purpose made suspension oil, to tranny fluid, and engine oils.

This is a most excellent thing.
I largely dislike Harley's, but have less disdain for a Sportster than for others. Here on the UK it is the people who choose to ride them who create the ill feeling. Middle aged men who love to blip and burp them at red lights.... I still do not know why.
But one has to admire the Harley ethos and (most of) the products.
But this... This transcends all rational response. You have created a wonderful thing that will probably also be a wonderful and entertaining ride.
I never thought I'd say a Harley was wonderful.

Most young, including young middle aged people do not understand as you said the blipping and blurpping of a Harley Davidson motorcycle and why that used to be very important to do. @@DoctorMotorcycle I have a motorcycle medical issue.....Any idea (other than a clogged oil tank or clogged/kinked oil lines) on a 2000 Buell M2, that would cause oil to return flow into the tank from the engine ok but refuse to flow out of the tank, down the line towards the engine/oil pump & back into the engine?? The oil flows back into the oil tank/from the engine, then overflows out the fill the cap, refusing to flow down the line back into the engine. No lines are clogged or kinked & the tank has no clogs.
I'm hoping it might be a defective K&N "high flow racing" oil filter I bought right after K&N moved to Mexico & started making them there. Like possibly the filter has some sort of defective valve inside creating pressure, preventing intake flow back into the engine???
If the filter is bad I'd have the "proof" and could most likely legally get K&N to pay for repairs/damage. K&N wanted me to send them the filter so they "could check it" .....I know if I did that, most likely they'd lie & claim it's fine even if defective. I was hoping the closest Harley shop could look at it & know. I'd love to get my Buell back on the road (with a turbo would be awesome), gonna have to get unsick & some $ for that to happen 1st.
Love your builds, many are similar to what I envision my builds to look like, if could do them. Turning old uncool looking bikes into cool bikes. Would love some 1250 cc- stronger than factory big bore jugs & pistons & a turbo to go with the S1 cams & other AM parts on the bike.

Could be a defective check valve, stuck in the closed position? I guess it's possible for an oil filter to be defective, or maybe somebody at the parts store and/or a customer swapped oil filter boxes without realizing it.
