🤔 piston ring gaps not wide enough for the boost and causing cylinder wall damage? God, I hope not. Horror stories of this scenario is what scares me most about spraying my stock motor.

I didn’t think they would start so fast, but the engine is being tore down already. Could be all of the above although the spark plugs are perfectly intact.

I should have video or at least pictures of the damage soon with a cause. I was told they will find the problem and make sure it doesn’t happen again. I’m not mad, I did everything on the cheap. I’m trying my hardest to not cheap out this go around. It’s possible but not guaranteed that the truck will be on e85 and more boost next pump.

Broken valve spring?
a broken valve spring will make the engine shiver at an idle. Had a customer that had one once.
They look to be intact but idk we will see. No wrong answers yet.

Spun cam bearing / crank bearing, being non magnetic.
Very possible, should find out within a week or so. Truck goes in the shop today.
