This was a great and useful video! I just upgraded my 4k stick to the Max version and I especially liked discovering the bluetooth volume control of my headphones. Also, the Max version allows you to watch Netflix in UHD 4k while using bluetooth audio - the regular 4k Fire TV Stick does not, it downgrades the video quality to HD when you use bluetooth audio. This issue only affects Netflix.
@@DJsTutorialsHi now when the software for all old generation has been upgraded can you please let me know if its worth upgrade from 3 rd generation hd to 4k max ? I dont have support for dolby vision and atmos with my tv.
@@Bewithsumit If your Fire Stick is working fine with no issues and you don't find any of the new features that the 4K Max has over the previous ones necessary, I would say keep the one you have now until it no longer works well. Plus, in September, Amazon will be revealing new devices and chances are they may have a new Fire Stick coming out which should be better than the 4K Max so I would wait till then to decide if you want to upgrade. That is my opinion.
@dennisboscodemello2123 Amazon released 2 new Fire Sticks in September. The 2nd-Gen Fire TV Stick 4K and the 2nd Gen Fire TV Stick 4K Max. The 4K Max, beside that its $10 more, it has 16GB of storage instead of 8GB that the 4K Stick does.
You could always use an OTG cable to attach a thumb drive even with the previous generation. If anything, the max broke this capability. It doesn't recognize external storage when you're trying to download something. Always tries to go to the downloader directory on the fire stick.
Awesome video brother. Thanks for sharing. How you been? Always a pleasure seeing you bro. Keep the content coming. Hope you hqve an incredible weekend. Hope you and your family have a Happy Thanksgiving.
Thank you Tim! Doing very well now that I am not working those crazy hours that I had! More time to work on more content! Hope you and your family are all doing well. Have a Happy and safe Thanksgiving brother.
Great one ☝️ even though I have all NVIDIA shields and Apple devices I still brought the WiFi 6 4K Max because I have a netgear nighthawk WiFi 6 router
Thank you Nancy! My main streaming device is the Nvidia Shield as well but the Wi-Fi 6 on the 4K Max actually works really good! I have it set up in my bedroom 2 floors up from the Wi-Fi 6 access point and haven't had any buffering or connection issues with it at all so far. Much appreciate your support! Hope you and your family have a Happy and safe Thanksgiving!
Only way possible may be through the Alexa app. You will need to create a routine that will show the Ring Doorbell on your 4K Max when someone rings the doorbell.
Can you connect an external hard drive (500 gb or more ) to the external pen drive slot.. will it recognize it considering I will format it the way you did .
The Audio diagnostics will not detect a Dolby Atmos capable speaker system that is connected wireless. It looks for equipment that are connected to your TV like a soundbar or A/V receiver. Hope this helps.
I just bought the TP Link AX11000 for Wi-Fi 6 but don’t see any Wi-Fi 6 options when trying to connect my 4k max. Is there anything I need to do to make this connection work?
Hi Steve. You will not see anything that says Wi-Fi 6 in the 4K Max "Available Networks" in Network Settings. All you will see in there will be the 2.4 and 5 GHz Network SSIDs. Wi-Fi 6 will not show as a 3rd band like "6 GHz" but when you connect to one of them for example a 5 GHz network and then go in your router settings and look under connected devices, you will see your 4K Max in there with either an icon with a "6" in it or it will say "802.11ax".
@@DJsTutorials when I look at the router details the only thing that shows on the 4K max is either 5ghz-1 or 5ghz-2. It switches back and forth. I don’t see anything about WiFi 6, 6 or 802.11 ax. Any ideas?
Can you confirm disable hdr works with Samsung TV? I ask because i have mibox 4k which also has a hdr to sdr option but that doesn't work with Samsung TV.. Netflix still detects hdr 😞
@@DJsTutorials awesome, and do we still get 4k? I read elsewhere that Disney+ will give 1080p if hdr is turned off.. is that so? And how about Netflix and Amazon prime?
I believe it comes down to the content and provider. I heard about Disney + switching to 1080p if HDR is disabled but that could be the 2 versions they offer
You will need to be logged in to the Fire Stick with the same username as the one you use on Amazon Prime. Then all you need to do is add movies or TV series to your watchlist in the Amazon Prime app. Anything that you add in the AP app will show in the watchlist section in the Fire Stick.
The content for the watchlist comes from Prime Video. You don't have to have an Amazon Prime account to save content to the watchlist. Just need to use the Prime Video app.
Good video thanks. Bought one today on Prime Day.
You're welcome. Good choice and great price today!

Interesting. I was not aware of that with Netflix. Thank you for sharing that. I appreciate it!

Amazon and mediatek coming up with cool and affordable streaming sticks
I agree - mediatek has been doing a pretty neat job actually in recent years in the area of streaming devices.

Can u get the ring doorbell to open up in full screen automatically rather than PIP and having to maximize from there?

Yes you can.
can you move the PIP to the bottom of the screen?
No you can not right. It's pretty much fixed for now. Maybe in the future they may add that option but not right.
I DID THE EXACT SET UP. FOR MY 4K MAX AND IT DIDN'T READ THE USB DRIVE
Try formatting the USB drive to FAT32 on your computer and see if that helps.
If I use the external storage on a firestick 4k max will the apps update automatically like for example Tubi
If you set it up as internal shared storage and move apps to it then yes, they will update automatically.
@@DJsTutorials Thank you so much for your response have a good one 👍
You're welcome. You too!
Did you know how to see time & day on tv (I have Fire stick 4K) please
Yes, press and hold down the HOME button and a screen will come up with the time and date, and the quick access menu.
@@DJsTutorials Thank you friend

In audio diagnostics it says Dolby Atmos off when I have a Dolby Atmos connected via Amazon fourth generation speaker. This must be a bug?

No you can't unfortunately.
Not to be a smart ass , but if I still need the TV remote can't I just change the inputs there?

Haw can i download Netflix on fire stick 4k max please
It should be pre-installed but you can also find it in the app store.
Why my firestick stop the sound when i am watching tv
Is it doing that with all the apps or just one?
The 4k max will not tone map hdr to sdr. Known issue never fixed.
