Yes I have a collection of the vintage small knives. Don’t carry much but love them just the same! And will buy more as I see them. Sometimes I pull them out and just tinker with them
Great collection of smaller traditionals! I almost always carry a traditional as a second or third or fourth or fifth 😂😂 blade. Its a non threatening practical knife that'll do most, if not all, of the daily blade tasks.👍
I seek out old Imperial and Camillus slipjoints that are in terrible shape. Then I disassemble and clean the parts, and cut new brass liners and micarta scales before peening them back together. Some I give to friends and family, some I sell. For myself, I collect 70s Case knives, particularly those with the brown-bone jigged scales. I prefer old Cases that have seen moderate use so that I don't feel worried about sharpening them up and using them myself!
I collect older knives at last count 189 but sure got a lot more cause have habit of leaving them in a bags and coats so I know I always have one on me
I don't specifically collect older knives. Or wee knives. I tend to buy whatever strikes my fancy. Sometimes that's slipjoints (used or otherwise). Sometimes its modern locking knives. Sometimes they're big. Sometimes they're small. That said... I've got some older, small knives both that I've bought, and that I inherited from Dad, and that I've been given. And from what Dad had in his collection I suspect he did much the same...
1869 to 1900 on the plane chestnut tree logo for Boker. I don't own too many antique pieces. The ones I do own use to belong to someone in my family, grandfthers.
Wonderful look at some jewels from the past. 😊
Great collection sir. Stunning pieces.
