Thanks for the videos Steve. As a beginner have only been out twice with my 800 once in the park where the thing went haywire and once at the beach and all I have are pull tabs and a bit of other trash. Now after watching your videos a few things about setting up are starting to make sense. Hope they bring me luck on the weekend down under.

Do a special air test demo video using NOX with various yellow gold, white gold studded diamond ear rings. Also throw in some very small gold and silver pendants and charms that have come off necklaces. It wold be fun to demo some hearing aids but likely none of those just laying around... When demoing these small items maybe clear tape them to wooden stick for the swing test. Also show the NOX pin point mode response as you drag the tinny items across the whole face of the coil. Great videos! Cheers, #SeattleRingHunter

Hey gig I know I'm a little late to jump on this video but just now running across you on UA-cam about about a week ago. First started out detecting with the ace detector and now have graduated up to the Knox 800. I noticed in your video you didn't show what numbers platinum gold Rings up. I found a small platinum ring with my Ace detector and ran it across my coil and it comes up as a 1 or 2. So in the four weeks I've had the Knox 800 I've dug three rings at the beach which non have been gold. But yeah I get excited when I get a number that reads Low what's that repeatable tone. So Platinum comes up as a 1 or a 2

@@Gigmaster old timers love two tones as it takes them back to the Pulse Induction machines they learned on. New guys love 50 tones driving more date to the ears. What ever works for you! I'm learning not be so rigid and be more flexible if something isn't working try a different attack! For example in thick bushes or hedges looking for white gold wedding ring with sensitive jacked up high it might be more beneficial to just click over to the NOX pin pint mode if the site isn't too trashy, like night and day! You can can always click back VDI your target then drop down into the bush with a hand head pin pointer to recover the target. Cheers, #SeattleRingHunter

sorry Gig but you are backwards Gold is more conductive than Silver that is why we use gold on electronic contacts due to gold want tarnish like silver. The Equinox measures ferrous of the metals E-track and CTX gives you both ferrous and conductivity. but love the video going to the beach next week.

    • @Gigmaster
