Very good! I’ve learned a lot.
Thank you buddy. This is a valuable video. I've heard suggestion, but not actually seen the targets match their numbers. I've enjoyed watching several of your videos. AGAIN THANK YOU!!!
Very surprising numbers! Great video, thanks.
Good information. THANK YOU!
Bottle tops your right always jumps the nos yes alamonium is pain
Thank you VERY much for this video. I got my NOX about a month ago and this really helps me understand the numbers.
Gigmaster...I am New to Metal Detecting and Thanks to Your helpful tips and advice on the Minelab Equinox 800 I was able to dig my first Gold and Diamonds Ring and Silver Earring on my First Hunt on the Beach!!! On Hollywood Beach, Florida. I was digging on everything though but like you said "Best spot to try first would be where the water meets the sand and found a lots of Coins and Junk Targets but also found my first Gold Ring!! Muchas Gracias Gigmaster and A Loyal Subscriber...keep Up the Excellent Work!!
Congrats!
Love this video. In fact I love all your videos. As someone who generally detects old properties in PA your beach detecting videos are helping me get ready for my summer in NMB SC. THANKS for all your hard work and for sharing your expertise.
Steve you have a great personality great outlook on life and the best instructor thank you again
Thanks for all grettings of Cuba
Love your videos!!!! Very educational. I use the Simplex 2.78. Thanks for all the tips.
Great tutorial. Looks like every tone needs to be dug. . .
Good job Gigs! Numbers agree with both my 600 and 800. I too use two tones and agree dig it all!
Thanks for the videos Steve. As a beginner have only been out twice with my 800 once in the park where the thing went haywire and once at the beach and all I have are pull tabs and a bit of other trash. Now after watching your videos a few things about setting up are starting to make sense. Hope they bring me luck on the weekend down under.
Thank you so much Steve. I can't tell you how many solid 4's and 14's I've left behind thinking they were aluminum, but not any more unless of course like you said I run out of gas and just don't have many more digs left in me for the day. Great stuff !!!!! :-)
Nice demo sir. Those tones really tell you a lot. Thanks
Great instructions by a super great instructor.
Great demonstration, good luck on the next adventure. Kenny
Very very informative!!! Thank you!!!
Thank you for sharing and teaching.
Very helpful. Love these types of videos. Thank gigmaster
Thanks for taking the time to do that!
Thanks, it's interesting to see your vdi numbers. Another great video. Thank you for the work you do.
Nice demo Gigman, great educational video.
Nice tips Steve
Newbie here. Just what I needed!! So helpful.🙂 Thanks for sharing. 😊
Fantastic information ! Thanks for making this video.
Great Show .
HI STEVE HOW YOU AND YOUR WIFE DOING IN THESE CRAZY TIMES WITH THE CORONA VIRUS.I STILL GO TO THE BEACHES AND PARKS ITS MY ONLY GREATEST HOBBY
Awesome video! No I'll have to go back over all the beaches I've been on. I've been knocking everything from a 9 down as all I was finding was foil and aluminium bits on the Melbourne beaches here in Australia. Just need lockdown to be lifted again.
Good luck out there!
Hi Gig thanks for the tips I will keep that in mind .good video thanks for shearing 👍👍👍🙋♂️
Excellent Video as always. Thanks bud.
Do a special air test demo video using NOX with various yellow gold, white gold studded diamond ear rings. Also throw in some very small gold and silver pendants and charms that have come off necklaces. It wold be fun to demo some hearing aids but likely none of those just laying around... When demoing these small items maybe clear tape them to wooden stick for the swing test. Also show the NOX pin point mode response as you drag the tinny items across the whole face of the coil. Great videos! Cheers, #SeattleRingHunter
Thank you for your time sir!
Good lesson. Translation: Dig everything at the beach! I try to avoid 3 or lower because they tend to be foil, but only after I get tired. Vanquish 540 numbers are pretty much the same. Thanks for the overview!
Yeah we all get to the point .. ok i am not digging that! And it could be gold! Oh well.
@@Gigmaster for your opinion the 12 x9 coil is best of the standard ? Deep ...discrimination...ecc ecc
Great video. Very informative. Thanks
You sir are the man!!!! Went out today using your Beach Nox 800 settings. Found a 10k ring. Thank you again.
Great video and very helpful ❤
Which size coil is that on the machine during the test ?
Hard to tell if it’s the 11” standard or the larger one .
You are correct
Great job. Thanks for the info.
Can you show the difference with ground balance on beach if you do it or don’t please mate I’m in uk anyway
great info. thanks
Lovee this vid 😄😄😄
That was really interesting mr gig i dig so many ring pulls from 12 to 16 and I’ve been really thinking of leaving them but as you have just showed you really go home if you don’t dig everything 😿
These type of videos are a very helpful teaching aid. Well done. What numbers would a Platinum and a Palladium ring up as on the Equinox? ;)
1 or 2.. bounces around a little bit but really a solid 1
Great video
good job
Super Informative! Thank you.
Thanks. Very helpful information.
very good presentation Thank you.
Enjoyed the video
good video gig. next try the oddball coins we have like large cents, half dimes, tokens, and other countries coinage. they don't always sound like nothing we have.
You are right!
What coil is best for beach please gig
Thanks again gig master for the great video. Do you think these numbers would hold for gold in the ground???
Yes
Off subject from video. The Blue foam on the shaft of your equinox is that so it can float in water? I always love your videos and thanks for sharing
Yes
And I thought that I was the only person that used a pool noodle to keep my detector from sinking ( Great minds think a like). I also dig everything at the beach and run 2 tones thanks for the video.
Great info
I was waiting for the Neptune Festival token😁
Does it make a difference on the numbers by you doing air test
No
wow i didnt know that
Great vid do you have a Nokta simplex plus so we can see VDI numbers it hits with ?
Excellent !
Love you gig... Hey bud let us know if your stool running your Knox been the same setup as you did and your video? Thanks buddy I know you busy but if you could make a new video if you're doing anything different would be awesome.
Good info 👍
Hey gig I know I'm a little late to jump on this video but just now running across you on UA-cam about about a week ago. First started out detecting with the ace detector and now have graduated up to the Knox 800. I noticed in your video you didn't show what numbers platinum gold Rings up. I found a small platinum ring with my Ace detector and ran it across my coil and it comes up as a 1 or 2. So in the four weeks I've had the Knox 800 I've dug three rings at the beach which non have been gold. But yeah I get excited when I get a number that reads Low what's that repeatable tone. So Platinum comes up as a 1 or a 2
HELLO DIGGING GEORGE HERE FROM LONG ISLAND I FOUND A PD950 PALLADIUM RING WITH DIAMONDS IT WAS AN 8 PALLADIUM IS HIGHER THAN GOLD THE GIRL AT THE JEWELERY STORE SAID IT WAS PLATINIUM HER BOSS SAID NO ITS PALLADIUM ITS A SILVER COLOR WATCH OUT WHO YOU DEAL WITH.MY 14KT GOLD RING CAME IN WITH A 3. I HOPE THAT HELPED YOU.GOOD LUCK HAPPY HUNTING
Hi gigmaster of the subject a bit I am using the 800 with the 15 inch coil in a real trashy area am I better to switch to the 11 inch coil to try and pick up the smaller targets through the junk ?
Yes
you can use the same numbers on the VANQUISH metal detector also because they have the same numbers.
palladium is higher than gold which i found at the beach i didnt know what it was til a jeweler explained to me that PD950 is 95%of the metal of the ring with 24 tiny diamonds half way around the ring $60.00 i didnt know what i know now palladium website sells these rings between $700 to $1300 dollars. He only gave me what the metal was worth next time i will sell it myself.Good hunting Steve
Thank you for this video!!!!
do you prefer beach 1 or beach 2 ?
No longer use the Nox.
How about a video searching in salt water at the beach
A gold chain can be a 1 or a 2.
Gold earrings can get down to -1
COULD ALSO BE A 3 OR AN 8
The shit rings sound more squeaky and the real gold sound much clearer and pronounced good buddy same with the silver 👍
MY 14KT GOLD RING WAS AN 8 MY DIAMOND PALLADIUM RING WAS A 9
Hi gigmaster I tried to whatch the new vid of buddy returning and it sayeed it was private ? Don't know if it a mixup or my phone won't let me see it
I've dubscribed.
Thank you! I’ve heard to use 50 tones on the beach. I guess you don’t need to.
Definitely a matter of preference. Whatever feels comfortable to you
@@Gigmaster old timers love two tones as it takes them back to the Pulse Induction machines they learned on. New guys love 50 tones driving more date to the ears. What ever works for you! I'm learning not be so rigid and be more flexible if something isn't working try a different attack! For example in thick bushes or hedges looking for white gold wedding ring with sensitive jacked up high it might be more beneficial to just click over to the NOX pin pint mode if the site isn't too trashy, like night and day! You can can always click back VDI your target then drop down into the bush with a hand head pin pointer to recover the target. Cheers, #SeattleRingHunter
What about platinum? Great video!
It rings up as a 1.. Jumps between 1 and 2 but pretty much a steady 1
Did you say you are in 2 Tone on the Beach?
Yes
sorry Gig but you are backwards Gold is more conductive than Silver that is why we use gold on electronic contacts due to gold want tarnish like silver. The Equinox measures ferrous of the metals E-track and CTX gives you both ferrous and conductivity. but love the video going to the beach next week.
Google it - silver is more conductive than gold. They plate with gold because it is the least corrosive. Silver tarnishes fast. You can find gold million years old and it is still shiny. Lol
A stingray oh my God you must live right next to the water. Lol
Dig everything, check your holes, cover vast area and that's the secret to finding treasure! And yes your gonna have to get your feet wet!
Right on!
I was contemplating upgrading to a CTX 3030 or anothe vlf with VDI from my TDI beachhunter , but I'd still just dig everything just to be sure
What's the point of VDI when metals give different numbers and you dig everything anyways?
The sound. Finally getting away from the VDI of the XP Deus and getting good on naming whats coming out of the ground via the tone nuance. Aluminum square tabs, forget it! Doomed to dig those forever. I run a TDI BH too. Love that machine.
Interesting even though I still use my old XLT.
Knowing a machine is more important than the machine. Keep getting up!
i still have my xlt spectrum since 1992 and everytime something goes wary it cost me $250 every 10 years not bad but they dont make xlts anymore still keep it alive
Your great guy you are thanks
One Tone? Why? THX !
If its as heavy as gold it might be platenem or white gold
i see that is the same sound for all , why ?
Steve I wonder why the don’t make Pennies out of steel, since Zinc does not last very long??L
Foreign countries do!
Don’t forget the nasty ketchup- hot sauce packet. Usually a steady 6. Lol.
Oh yeah! Dug a few of those
The one thing that fools me all the time is the compressed ID scale Minelab uses.. Not so much the general numbers like a dime penny nickel and quarter. I've got those down but because of the narrower scale there's not much difference when swinging silver....
what numbers do you dig at the beach.....A L L O F T H E M! GOLD 4-23 and everything else is there too. The SOUND of the signal is what you pay attention to.
Anything over 0 lol
get a magnet Steve if a ring sticks onto a magnet its not real
palladium was an 8 Steve
So if you want gold never ever digg above 24, leave the quarters for others.
It’s a minelab, listen to the tones don’t look at the numbers. I can hear the difference between the gold and silver and your junk stuff.
Yeah learning the sounds on any detector can give you a clue to the target ... sometimes lol
Gotta learn my new detector. Thanks for the info
my wife bought me a fisher f 4 then we moved to Florida, near the beach,so I want to sell it and get a equinox, but its gonna hurt her feelings...
No law against having 2 machines. Take both when you go.
@@Gigmaster great idea.
