  • A winter hike up two munros in Sutherland which I had climbed on two previous occasions; Conival and Ben More Assynt. I undertook this remote solo walk to help with the grieving process after the death of my mother. The wind on the day was very strong and on the ridge it became ferocious. One of the gusts caught me and blew me down a slope where I fell and hit a boulder under the snow. The injury to my left arm required hospital treatment. Video is captured using gopro and some 4k drone footage. Thanks for watching and please consider commenting, liking, and subscribing. ATB Kenny
I have included a link to an earlier video captured in 2015 with more snow coverage. • Conival and Ben More A...

Sorry to hear of your loss Kenny. Hills will help - they do for me. Winds on the hills can be vicious. Thanks for the video.

What a stunning day, although a tad windy, lovely views. I do love Assynt, it’s a stunning part of the country, I think the best. Thanks as always for sharing your adventure. Hope your arm is on the mend.

Sorry for your loss. I felt that moment when my mum passed away as well. I always feel she's urging me to carry on hiking when I'm on the Mountains as she loved looking at my photos of Scotland's Mountains. Fantastic upload.

I'd certainly enjoy the earlier part of the hike and those views, but the snow and wind...I'm thinking that would do it for me and might have even blown me right off! lol I know the feeling though of having to just get away...had to do a similar thing after my own mom's sudden passing. Take good care of yourself and continue these great adventures!

Thank you for the video. Sorry for the loss of your mother. I have 2 coincidences with you. I lost my mother not long before I climbed this in August 23. I went up in very powerful winds. I got blown over twice. You could hear the wind smacking the buttress's like an artillery shell! I made it to Conival, but the cloud and wind were impossible, had a view of 3 meters on top so missed out Ben More Assynt 👍 ATB, Angus

So sorry for your loss Kenny. I know how you feel. I lost my mum, gran and dad within 10months of each other. Abd like yourself I had to deal with the finances etc of my mum & dad.
If it gives you any comfort. Life does go on and you will, in your own time, learn how to accept it and move forward.
    Brilliant video as per Kenny.

Hi Kenny, our condolences on your loss ❤ As you are well aware, the hills really are a place you can escape to and find some solace. I hope this trip helped in some small way.
That elbow looks a bit nasty, you aren't half having a bad run of luck with injuries recently, hopefully that turns soon!
Loved the drone shot where it was backing into the cloud looking off to sunshine and blue skies, very dramatic. Thanks for sharing. ATB and take care Kevin & Rebecca
