Yes, you're right about his core beliefs. He fought the leadership campaign on the exact same platform as now. Hasn't changed at all. He was also the only one running in the leadership that came to it with a full platform, not just one or two ideas. Those ideas ended his CPC career. The man left his party, and has embarked on this massive undertaking because he believes in his principals. His ideas are the solution to many of Canada's ills.

Max patiently advocated for conservative small government principles and the promotion of liberty in the Harper governments for 10 years. He was frequently over-ruled by Harper's ineffective liberal-lite incrementalism. This is not what he wants to do for another 10 years, so he is taking life by the reins, risking everything and trying to do the right thing on his own. I support him 100%. I see the comments section here resoundingly supports Maxine Bernier and the polls (if they can be trusted) show 17% approval from Canadians. That's pretty impressive for a Canadian political party that just came out of the starting gate and the fundraising has already outstripped the NDP. Imagine what will happen after a few more months and then election day. I think this shows how Canadians are fed up with the status quo.
I would too now, and I joined the damn Cons (for the first time I'd joined any party, ever) just to vote Scheer in for the leadership race. Bernier hadn't even made my top 5 on my ballot at that time, but he's slowly won me over and Scheer has slowly lost me completely.

I feel like i'm just getting warmed up and these videos just end abruptly. we need these to become a long-form sit down conversation. maybe get christie with a colleague from newstalk1010 or something for some back and forth. like the round table discussions she has on there. only longer than 30 seconds per topic. He is our guy to vote for...I've never been into politics until this last year after my husband, who was very sick after an operation had nothing better to do than start searching politics for a better leader for Canada. We were just appalled at the leadership of the Liberal Party and we knew we needed a better choice...now we are both founding members of the PPC Party! Just beware splitting the conservative vote and giving Justine a minority. Max has my vote in 2023 by which time he will have had more exposure and will actually have a chance to win. In the meantime I will hold my nose and vote CPC.
