Two months broken up. I haven't slept since then. My ruminating is endless. This sucks. I have a life to live and am not living it.I'd love to develop a more secure attachment style. I am mostly secure, but man, her inconsistency and dishonesty triggered me at times.
Is that 2 months also with no contact? If there was a genuine love and you guys ended things well, you might be in better shape than you think. Do you want your ex back? After 2 months you should have made progress on the issues and grown within yourself to become more attractive. If you haven’t been to therapy, go, that’s a massive mistake not to and it sounds as if you have things to work through and discover.

@@norswil8763 no contact for two months - though she sent a self-absorbed email that I never responded to. Yes, I'm in therapy working on my issues. We didn't end things well. I took her on a ski trip in April where she was a constantly shrill and angry person...I had to end it when we got back because I refuse to be disrespected and unappreciated

@@norswil8763 I started therapy before the breakup to work on issues of mine before they sabotaged relationship. We can't get together - she's 1 of the most dysfunctional, toxic, beings I've ever met - immature ( she's 50) and traumatized, with no ability to self reflect. I gave it my best, loved/valued and provided her with masculine containment for her chaotic damsel-in-distress. She gave NOTHING in return- doesn't deserve me.

Since he broke up with me 2 months ago, I found out that there are attachment styles that I completely ignored before. So I learnt that my avoidant Ex is a dismissive avoidant. I'm in nc since the breakup but if he'll recontact me and maybe we'll restart a new relationship, I know that I need to change the way how to communicate with him and also to set boundaries which I hadn't done before. The wrong communication was the reason of the break up because I triggered his fear of being controlled. For the moment, my plan is to stay in nc. I know that he'll contact me because he still has some of his stuff at my place. And once we have seen again, who knows, either we both are willing to build up a new relationship or not.
I've watched a lot of your videos and learnt a lot, and this one too gave me new insights. I know that meeting my avoidant ex in person would help so much but can you please offer tips for long distance situations? He is halfway across the world! I believe there's still a chance at starting again as he still checks out my social media and has responded nicely to my texts when I reached out after 5 months of no contact. My plan is to move from texting to a video call to assess if there's any interest to start again. But I'm totally stuck on what words to use when texting :(
Since my DA dumped me in February and universally blocked me in March. Ive been going to my other happy place....My Tattooist. As happy as it makes me, its costing me more money than if i had a bloody girlfriend!!!!
(Fortunately, my ex likes tattoos and im MOSTLY tattooed!)

Can never over value family, 12 years , 3 kids, fixed everything according to her and I truly believe I have but she doesn’t want to come back , she monkey branched and it’s been 5 month she took the kids after 2 months of living with me alone, she is in love with the rebound 😬
