Love variegation!! Rubber plants have the prettiest variegated types
This was so helpful. I couldn't understand why my variegated Hoya turned green. Thank you for the great info
Bought some begonias and peperomias from them several years ago. Very good quality online source for houseplants.
He's a great guy and he has GREAT houseplants.
This time so special with the cheeky smiles of yours. Can't resist to watch one more time. Now I understand my same plant that I have is growing white leaves. From the mother plants, able to separate a few plants and noticed a pot has 80% white patches on all leaves. So I will experiment to feed a bit of chelated calcium and ajinomoto with high nitrogen fertilizer. Waiting to see more new grow green leaves.
You Doing A Great Job. One Suggestion, Please try To Show Names On Screen As Most Of The Botanical Names Are Hard To Understand For A Common Person Like Me .. Keep It Up :)
I just got my first Monstera at a home store. It's pretty huge, and all green. I've been admiring the variegated versions I've seen online so this info about it is very enlightening. Thanks.

Very informative, great questions and answers from great resources,, Thank You.
you're welcome! And question for you: what are your biggest challenges that prevent you from being the most awesome plant parent ever?
Renting small one bedroom apartment. A bit limited, but I do have 50 plants/cactus/succulents that I love.
Thanks for sharing this VERY! Informative video
@3:27 the one leaf that is half white and half green. 🙌 So cool looking!

Loved this episode! So knowledgeable & helpful!
Love the Ciao at the end...
Heyy, i love your channel💛 you are such a big inspiration to me, but I have one question. Could you dedicate a whole video to the Peperomia species? That would’ve been so nice, they are definitely one of my favorite species ty🌿
yes! it's definitely on the list. WAY overdue. Also, question for you: what are your biggest challenges that prevent you from being the most awesome plant parent ever?
I have been wanting a variegated monstera so bad but they are so rare and slow growing so they cost sooo much...Im so jealous that you got to see one in person hahaha
Hi Summer . Watching with love from Philippines. love your episodes
Very informative, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Awesome video thank you! Can't wait to order from Steve's!
Plant One On Me, sponsored by Lipton tea!
I recently found your channel and I binge watched every plant one on me episode within 24 hours. You are such an inspiration! Keep doing what you're doing.
PS by any chance do you have a stag horn fern
Hi TeddyS. Thank you! And yes, I have a staghorn in my bathroom, although it could probably use some better conditions. BTW, question for you: what are your biggest challenges that prevent you from being the most awesome plant parent ever?
Summer Rayne Oakes I would say that one of the biggest problems I run into while being a plant parent would be not keeping the humidity high enough for my plants.
I have a question. What if the variegation reverts? Can you save it by propagating the leaf that still variegated? Will it produce again a variegated new leaf?
The answer is No. The variegation may or may not come back.
Some variegations are genetically stable. Monstera deliciosa borsigiana grows fast for me and is prone to make green while Monstera deliciosa ' Thai Constelation' can be tissue cultured but grows super slow. One or 2 leaves a year. Monstera deliciosa has compact nodes and is slow to vine while Monstera deliciosa borsigiana vines like crazy and has smaller leaves.
Waw very informative. 🙏🏼
So you can't have a full pot of white syngoniam cuttings? Feeding it or supplementing it? It's so beautiful
I Want that monstera with a passion.
Excellent info. Does this a apply to colored varieties like pink syngoniums? How does lighting affect color variegation?
So informative!
I love your channel so much I just subscribed I love houseplants
Hi :-) is the syngonium podophyllum albo-variegatum also a slow grower if there is no 90% humidity and high tropical temperature? :-) I mean I got one and I have it in a standard room temperature with like 45 % humidity. Thanks a lot!
Lovely
Mine mother plant 15-20 years old Green Monstera had veriegated new branches , I rooted them over the winter and they continue to grow with variegation. Is this possible? 🤷♀️
*i like the variegation with cream, light green and white at the same time. Also i do love the deep green so it just depends*
I grew a monistera plant indoor to 11 feet height with 6 feet across. All this in 7 years.
Nice video
I found this very interesting. learned a lot! thank you!
you're welcome!
Summer....where can i get the monstera caliosa variegated at a reasonable price
Hi operation director, why is every single plant I look at on your site out of stock? Always.
love your videos! I have a question, my variegated monstera cutting has put out one leaf with very little variegation and then one that's completely green but with a slit, I'm getting a new one currently but I wonder if this plant is reverting to green or is it just because its trying to survive?
VERY INTERESTING! THANK YOU!
Some plant owners say that sunlight exposure could help induce variegation back in the new leaves when the old ones have already reverted. How true?
@Summer Rayne Oakes
Can monstera marmorata revert to green leaves after propagation from stem cutting?
wow lovw this plants! I am Lotis Villarin Cebuanang blogger from Philippines !
Nice
Summer, your channel is amazing!!! By the way, how is your baby chiken doing??Never remember his name.🤗😊
Kippee! She's doing well. Just have to figure out how to manage / deal with her separation anxiety when I leave.
I’m having a spider mite epidemic! I need heeeelp! Recommendations please!

Wish i hv one of those plants😍😍😍😍
The difference in variegation in some plants is about $400.00 or $500.00. I'll stick with green until the prices come down.
That intro music… im addicted does anyone know what it’s called???? Help please!!!

How to make a variegated plant?

My variegated Monstera outdoors has a variegated fruit on it. Do the seedlings come up variegated? Not a single article on the net about growing Monstera from seed. Not sure if the variegated even makes seeds.

Monstera na mani alus pisan...by indonesia jawa barat
Hello Summer.... if you see this, check your Twitter page. I sent photos of two very nice peperomias I got from Steve's Leaves ('Clover' and 'Boivinii'). I want more 'Boivinii' but it's no longer on his site.
I've never understood the blotchy variegation. If you've ever seen a large leafed tree under a flock of birds then these all look like they've been shit on.
Is it singonium or signonium.
I actually really don't like variegated plants. They just look sick to me and not beautiful at all. If it's variegation with a pattern, e.g. Calatheas, I like it, but this random splotching is something I really don't like. Still, it's fascinating though.
Exactly, variegated plants do look a bit unhealthy to me as well.
@@onestrangeanimal3212 sometimes you cant tell if its yellowing or not
True. I'm just meh about it. It's also harder for the plant to photosynthesize and will grow slower.
My FaceBook pal, Mick Mittermeier, posted about his visit with you recently. That must have been a fascinating colloquy!!!
I thought you were talking about me lol
Desirable variegation- in some plants is caused by plant viruses.
Curious if anyone has done a study on variegation of plants growing in Chernobyl Russia
I don't like variegation.
I always wanted a dark green syngonium.
You look like Kiera Knightley.
the tumblir looks so deffrence.
This tumblr? homesteadbrooklyn.tumblr.com/??
Haha, am I the only one who's not a fan of variegation?
Somewhat nice looking, but overall hurts your plant!
Started showing a Monstera borsegiana as a deliciosa, zero credibility...
Omg, love you and love the content, but my ears break every time you say varigated folage. The word variegated has five syllables not four. And foliage has three, not two.
I get four.
