Dylan was a surprise guest at Farm Aid’s 2023 festival; the first time since the inaugural event in 1985. In fact, he was not even announced in concert. He and his band set up, plugged in while in the dark, and just started playing on a dimly lit stage. He was accompanied by the Heartbreakers (guitarist Mike Campbell, keyboardist Benmont Tench, and drummer Steve Ferrone) along with members of Cambell’s other group, the Dirty Knobs.
