jacobspeeds lol 😂 I mean, this is just their standards. Basically every other body of physical performance fields use the measurement I referred to. Like body builders; personal trainers etc
@@candicecrawford2996 I disagree with your statement. The instruction in the video is the proper procedure. this just goes to show the incorrect education that body builders and personal trainers are implementing. I'm sorry but they are far from expert. I have a PhD with expertise in body composition. My advisor literally wrote the book that every single national advisory institution uses (National Institutes on Health, Institutes of Medicine, the Navy etc) , and their instruction is correct (as in the video).
@@AnaliseAdler in the Navy a male can do it with a female present and a female can tape a male. (I only know this because I’m a recruiter and I had to read it myself to get the taping requirements for applicants)

This was extremely helpful. I have some work to do before I can join. I will be successful.
Is this taken even if you exceed the fitness test for running pushups and situps? '
yes! you can pass your fitness test, but fail your tape test/height and weight.
Waist measurement is supposed be taken at the smallest part of the body- not the hip bone.
This is an official video presentation from the U.S.Forces. Think they'd know their stuff better than you

You can disagree all you want, that still isn’t a waist measurement. It’s literally taken at the hips.

What about women who have a large butt but smaller waist this system is flawed
Can I see what you working with so we can get down to the bottom of this 😎

How awkward to have the males giving a tape test on a female.
That's a no-go.
It’s actually not a no go a make can tape a female .
@@KB-zc1vf I don't think so in the Army. It has to be 2 females for 1 female.
