I just wish it had an internal combustion engine to give option of hybrid. Range anxiety is there with all electric cars. Love the design its just missing a hybrid option.

Hi there, our C40 has been renamed to EC40 to make it simpler for customers to know which models are plug-in hybrids and which are fully electric. There is also a new, optional Performance software pack that is available on our EX40 and EC40 Twin Motor variants, and as an upgrade for the previous model year. /Niamh

wait, the C40 is already an electric car since the beginning right? so what’s the reason for changing the name to EC40? is there going to be a gas version of the C40 or what???
To ditch the C40 name in favour of aligning with the rest of the lineup of EV Volvos carrying the E-letter names. C40 name never made sense here to begin with, it's not even consistent or similar to the C30 from 2006 or C70 from 1996/2006.

EX30 is very small, probably not the same target buyer
Besides being small EX30 does feel cheaper. Simplified design and economy materials aside, lots of other little features were cut too, things that every Volvo had before it. They made headlines with a low price point and big power numbers but the details are where it falls apart. It's really nice for a cheap car, but does not compete in premium segments.
Choose the C40 instead of the EX30 as the EX30 is really a class smaller and simpler. I also prefer the C40 interior with a screen in front of me. Don't like only a centre screen. It's not ergonomic and safe.
God damnit. It's the ideal size for our next car.
Sad that it's gonna cost so damn much in denmark.

Valvo distributed Polestar shares for free to its shareholders so that they would sell and the share price would fall in order to destroy it, because the Polestar fleet is very attractive, luxurious, faster, longer-distance, and with the same technology as Valvo, but it will survive and outperform Valvo with certainty. It is the luxury brand of Valvo.

Polestar EC40
Don't trust the brand, they don't stand behind their product when it comes to issues about the battery. We've had our xc40 recharge back to them 4 times in less than a year and a half. They just said 1. Turn the air con off, you'll get 20km extra. 2. Don't use one pedal mode. It discharges the battery quicker. So you sell and promote product features that you get told you can't. We live in Australia and you need A/c and not to use a feature that supposedly returns energy to the battery. Volvo, we have consumer protection here in Australia, and it's called the lemon protection law. Look it up as this is the next step for us. A ev sold with 500km range that we can only get 230km full charge and you tell us to turn the a/c off, shame on you. We paid 85K for the car new, and this is how you treat your customer.

The name that this SUV should have had from the beginning. The C moniker was always reserved for coupés, not this body style. However Volvo lineup nowadays disappoints being comprised of mostly SUVs. Also going electric only is the biggest disappointment imho. But that's life I guess.
