  • Joining us today is Dr. Laszlo Boros one of the founders of the Center for Deuterium Depletion. Dr. Boros started his career in cancer research in the early 90's and has been obsessed with treating chronic disease ever since. In this episode we dive into the little known contributor to chronic disease, heavy hydrogen aka deuterium. Dr. Boros' research is showing both how prevalent and how dangerous this molecule is. Enjoy!

    What is deuterium and what does it do in the body? [2:26] Does he think deuterium prevalence in the environment has always been at the same level or is this something that is occurring to a greater degree as a result of pollution? [6:42] How does it enter the food cycle? [8:42] How do our cells break down deuterium? What happens in our body with high deuterium levels? [11:50] Has his center started to detect a correlation between elevations of deuterium levels in the prevalence of cancer growth? [16:50] Is the general correlation with cancer increase the higher your deuterium levels go? [20:06] Why all diseases benefit from deuterium depletion. [22:28] Is there any negative effect from having too little deuterium? [23:44] How does he feel fasting is contributing to deuterium levels? [26:39] Would there be any benefit to increasing deuterium if your objective is growth? [27:28] What foods would he advocate eating the most of? [30:46] Is there anything else he does on a day to day basis to optimize deuterium levels? [33:15] Why you should listen to your body before you listen to any doctor. [35:55] What is his center doing now to allow us to test our own deuterium levels? [37:38] Does he feel like certain populations are more predisposed to having elevated levels of deuterium or this is a human species problem? [39:02] What is his center studying right now with respect to deuterium and improving health? [41:41] What sort of success rate are they seeing with someone who has cancer depleting deuterium and is actually seeing a benefit? [44:05] Has he seen any correlation between environmental exposures and deuterium levels that have impacted deuterium? Featured Guest

    Recently started dry fasts with short eating windows of Carnivore to deplete deuterium. Really helping my Lyme disease, much more so than Carnivore was on its own.

    Ben, its been a while since we started C60 1.5 years ago. You've clearly ramped up, broadend out as so many are in every realm of life. All of life's primary boxes must be checked weekly. Thank you, great work.

    This type of subject needs to be visual. You need to look up one of Dr. Laszlo's presentations where he has slides to truly understand the cycles and mitochrondria etc. You will not understand it otherwise.

    Ben, thank you so much for producing/posting this episode. Wow, so what are the chances that I'm a Competitive Bodybuilder who was diagnosed with stage #4 Non Small Cell Lung Cancer, (spontaneous genetic mutation), in July 2016, and while doing some research on Deuterium depletion, (as recommended to me by a fellow competitor and Dr who studies along side of these brilliant Dr's researching the effects of Deuterium), I should stumble on this episode of your show. I have had quite the journey over the past 40+ months, from being bedridden and on supplemental oxygen, in 2017, multiple procedures, surgeries, targeted therapy to Chemo, to immune therapy, back to targeted therapy. Fortunately, through all of this, my condition did improve to the point where, I was cleared to begin training again in July of 2018, and was hard at it by November 2018, and I actually competed in 4 shows this year. Next up for me is to continue doing a 'deep-dive' into the concept of deuterium depletion and do some testing, and likely begin the process of Deuterium Depletion. I have an awesome medical team managing my treatment, but I'm eager and determined to push from stable and maintaining, to recovering and/or being proclaimed in a state of remission, or 'Cancer Free', which is currently believed not possible. Thanks again for this, all the best to you and your loved ones.

      Rob, I hope the DDW is awesome for you! I have cancer too and I’m currently trying it myself. So far I feel amazing! It’s expensive but our health is priceless. 😀 Good luck and I hope you achieve complete remission and a long and healthy life.

      @@gretchen5074 Thank you, and wishing the best for you, as well. If you wouldn't mind, I would like to discuss it further with you. Possibly get some updates on your progress with it and any other deuterium depletion initiatives you've taken. If not on this platform, I am on Facebook?

      Rob DeLuca, I’d be happy to! I’m not on Facebook but my husband is, so I’ll contact you through his account. I’m depleting deuterium through diet too. I eat a Paleolithic ketogenic diet according to the advice of the folks at Paleomedicina, and my cancer has stopped progressing since I started doing their nutritional intervention protocol. They say that DDW isn’t necessary, that the diet will deplete my deuterium level, but it’s okay to try it if I want to.

    Deuterium is an atom of hydrogen, not a molecule. Molecules are groups (2 or more) atoms combined together. Just adding this for clarification because it was described as a molecule and an atom throughout this podcast.

    Distilled water is slightly higher in deuterium, if you want to learn more watch codyslab on UA-cam. He has a video where he makes heavy water, which is just water with a higher concentration of deuterium by repeatedly distilling water. No ther reason you shouldn't drink distilled water.

    • @basicforge
      @basicforge 4 роки тому +3

      That's backwards. Distillation removes deuterium, but if you buy a bottle of distilled water the difference is going to be so slight that it probably won't matter.

      distilled water is DEAD water. so exactly opposite of the concept.

      How can H2O be anything other than H2O? “Dead” ...or alive. It’s the same H2O.

    • @Codrean
      @Codrean 2 роки тому +1

      @@bobrinos It is not H2O, it is D2O (deuterium). We want to deplete D2O and keep only H2O.
