  • Upon realizing her generation won’t have a future unless the world’s politicians act now on climate change, then 15-year-old Greta Thunberg skipped school in August 2018 to protest outside the Swedish parliament. What started as a one person strike soon gained global momentum.
In 'Make The World Greta Again', we follow Greta and the organizers of the school strikes for climate as they are cementing a worldwide movement ahead of their first global protest that took place on March 15th, 2019.
It was the biggest climate strike in history with up to 1.6 million students in more than 125 countries.

@Trag1c Gaming Protests, strikes, and demonstrations have a historical background of instigating social change. What do you want them to do? My generation didn't skip school and here we are. We have to change something, we have to act. These children have every right to protest because they are going to have to deal with the shitty world the previous generations left for them. Its just a rehash, but they're counting on kids not knowing any better because they have no life experience. And by they, I mean leftist academics who are brainwashing children in the attempts of creating some Communist hellhole under the guise of saving the environment. It reminds me of the Cultural revolution in China, how Mao fostered a fanaticism among students to act out mob violence.

When I was around their age, I thought I knew everything too. Then I grew up and started living in the real world where change in anything can be difficult and very slow going. These kids want a tectonic shift in climate change and they want it done now..hell, I want the same thing..but it's just not possible in the reality that we live in. I don't believe they've fully understood the structure and most importantly, the financial costs. I'm 35 and I guess I try to live "greener"? My wife and I live in a home where we use LED bulbs where we can, solar powered path lights, and one of our vehicles is a Tesla. It's not much, but I'd argue it's "greener" than the average American household and that's about it. This is a bunch of bs you're writing to justify the fact that we got Used to not do anything to change things around us. I used to be very active too when in high school and I still agree with the principles of what I was fighting for. Yes, obviously change is difficult - mostly because of the economic interests involved but look at what they started, what kind of movement they are bringing in - it is already changing things. And the truth is we "older people" hate the fact that a 16 years old started it cause we used to think nothing would change cause we got too used to unfairness. Truth is, everything can change - you just have to stop finding excuses.

Yes, it is about the money. But consider this analogy. It's expensive to have your plumbing fixed, but if you wait years to address it, you'll then have to replace not just the pipes, but also the rotting floor, collapsed ceiling and deal with rampant mold. I guarantee you that the cost will be many, many times greater and you won't be able to put it off anymore, so the bill will have to be paid all at once when you did not expect it.

@@e.a.prince8895 Respectfully, that's a stupid analogy. I already do that as I mentioned...eco-friendly LED lighting wherever I can use it, solar powered lights, and driving a Tesla plus I pre-ordered the new truck the other day, so both my wife and I will be driving E-vehicles soon. I'm doing and spending more than the average American household to help the planet...problem is, not everyone can afford to make changes and not everyone really cares. If I owned the planet, sure, I'd be happy to pay to preserve it. But I don't. I only have control over a small space and while I can try to make things better in my world, not enough people are doing anything in theirs, and it's not just because they don't want to do anything, but because the cost of it is too high. And right now, issues like climate change are taking a backseat to more human issues such as the rise in homelessness, opiod epedemics, etc. and they always will when compared to issues dealing with people.

@@peterbelanger4094 you know, I used to think that too, its pretty easy to think like that if you live in the US. Because the information is so divided and politicized. The truth is that Climate Change Global Warming & the dangers it presents is only a Partisan issue in the US. Only in the US is it still framed as a debate. While the entire rest of the World is trying to decide what to do about It, People The US are still trying to decide if its real or not.
the Fossil Fuel Industry has such a hold on American Politics that theyve completely imposed their Agenda on the US & we dont even realize how much this will negatively effect us. While the rest of the World is becoming less dependent on Fossil Fuels, we're just spinning our tires and bickering and thats exactly what "Big Oil" Wants because their market is dwindling & they're conning us into being their last remaining life-line of profit & revenue.
Our Government (U.S.) is doing the same thing with our Healthcare industry. They're so bought and paid for by the Private insurance companies that they wont give us what every other industrjalized country already has, and then they pay the talking heads on all the news channels left & right alike to tell us that a single payer healthcare system will be too expensive even though research says we're already paying twice those numbers , and they tell us the quality will decline even though American Doctors already control for this now by not looking at the financial circumstances of their patients so that it never affects the quality of care they provide. That is why you cant be turned away at any hospital in the country if you're experiencing an emergency.
Your absolutely right to be suspicious about the things our government tells us, but if you think hard about what the possible motivating factors are then you can usually uncover where truth and corruption part ways.
If this was a global conspiracy of some sort, who would benefit from this kind of lie? The Solar & Wind Energy industry? The Government because of all the new Taxes and Regulations they can pass? they Government doesnt need a Global conspiracy to find new things to tax its people for.
Who does this information hurt? Definitely Fossil Fuel & Petroleum Industry, Coal Industry, also Companies that have been polluting but have not been held accountable for it but know they will have to soon like all the platics which are actually petroleum products. On 24:57 ... The Members of the European Parliament actually disrespect the kids? Publicly?
I am so lost and confused.
The "people in power" actually insulted (!) the kids who are bright-minded, active and do all they currently can for the betterment of the entire planet?
This is such a shame. If this shouting person claims "you don't understand, you have no idea whatsoever" then why can't the same person explain to all of us what it is there that we don't understand?
They send them "back to school". I think school is great. Why would you belittle someone by saying "go back to school"? ...maybe the person who shouted it should ... go back to school and take a communications class, for example?
How come people like this sit in the Parliament?

Arnold Schwarzenegger organized the Austrian World Summit in Vienna. Arnold and Greta both spoke at the last summit in 2019.
I think young people relate to Greta so much because she's around their age. Some older people get bent out of shape about Greta, but not Sir David or Leonardo DiCaprio, because their tiny world views don't allow for a teenage girl to be the catalyst of a huge, social movement. So they whinge instead of expanding their world view, which is what most people do when confronted with something new that disagrees with their world view.

But if real workers strike, it's the company who has a negative effect, because they can't produce things.

And i hope these kids know: they have to demonstrate for years/decades from now on.

@@jessicabrack2846 Hi, i'm aware of that. Things will always change. And if we even manage to life with nature in harmony, we still have the problem that mankind will produce itself untill our planet is overcrowded some day. So, all this (industrial revolution, CO2+) is a result of education and mankind evolving. The only way, to get rid of the problem, as mankind did get rid of the problem of having no light in the dark and inventing the wheel, or boats to discover new land, is science.
So if your generation (?) wants to change something, you have to demonstrate AND educate yourselfes for decades, to change the system from within. Not going to school on fridays, could be a start. But you will never change 40+ year old people from the scratch, with not going to school. I understand that this is your "only" way, to be heard.
But my concern is, that you have to do it for years. So, you miss class. And education is important.
Imagine a young generation, who all just quit school to change the climate. Then, after 10 years they are successful. This would produce someday a generation of older people who have to lead us, without proper education. Problem? Yes!
Never the less, i hope this younger generation can solve & lead us to something better. But be aware, you have to be educated well to bring the change. Much more, then the current elders.
And always think of a CO2 Tax wich will hit small people the most. And are "they" going to use this money for climate change? NO, THEY WONT!

I could be wrong but I tend to think the extremes of poverty and wealth, it a far more serious emergency than climate change. Some people work very hard in order to barely survive, or cannot even survive at all, others have far more than they need and live extravagant lives. When the poor confront the rich, the rich tell them "work hard like us and you will have money." A lie. Some of the rich work hard and their work pays off. Others work just as hard and their work does not pay off. Some of the rich were simply inherited their money, did NOTHING to earn it other than be born in the right place at the right time. Yes climate change caused by burning fossil fuels, and by dumping plastic-resin materials all over the place, is ominous. But the extremes of wealth and poverty is far more ominous for world peace, stability, well-being, and survivability, than the ominous changes in climate caused burning fossil fuels. Huge numbers of people in relatively less-developed countries could care less about climate change. They worry about how they are going to get food, or get medical care that they can't afford. They don't have time to think of much more than about how they are going to survive another day.

I know my friends that participated in this have some pretty bad habits when it comes to the environment...

iwasthemoon - yep these kids just want a reason to skip school. Sure they hate pollution, yet they clog up roads and litter the streets everywhere they go. You really think they actually care about changing their habits LOL
Also Greta’s mom is a known actress and has friends in the media and in PR. Greta is a puppet for the media and her mom’s friends in big places and she & her family clearly don’t have any good habits to the environment either. They are just lazy idiots who want the government to do everything for them and they think it’s as easy as 1-2 policies lmfao what a bunch of uneducated brats. How about they study environmental engineering in university to change our broken, polluting machinery for the better? Instead they drop out of school and protest, or worse, they get a “sociology” degree and complain on social media all day about “climate change” complete apes

Jesus was born to a virgin, turned water to wine, taught, healed the sick, raised the dead, casted out demons, walked on water, and calmed the storm, among many other things. He was killed, and three days later He rose from the dead. Forty days later He ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father. He is returning very soon, but before He does, Satan, the devil, is coming to pretend to be Jesus. Satan is an angel, and he will have certain supernatural powers with which to try to fool everyone. He will, for example, be able to make fire come down from heaven in the sight of men. He will only be on earth a short time before the real King of Kings, Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, returns. When the real Jesus comes we will all be transformed into our spiritual bodies at the same moment. Jesus came to offer forgiveness of sins and eternal life to anyone who believes and calls on His precious name.
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; - Romans 3:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. - Romans 6:23
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. - John 3:16-18
The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened. - Proverbs 10:27
