@@rafaelhenrique6281 Don't believe everything you read on the internet about not believing everything you read on the internet. The title of one of Augustine's sermons is "cantare amantis est", which literally translates, "Singing is loving", or translating with the sentiment of his sermon, "Singing belongs to the one who loves". Whether or not he did or did not also say, "bis orat qui cantat" (whoever sings prays twice) is open to debate. Traditionally both the title of his sermon and that Latin phrase have been handed down together. Given that Augustine wrote in his books (which remain complete) and preached through his sermons (for which only selected pieces remain) so much on the subject of loving and praying, there is little reason to doubt he said it just because the exact quote can't be found in any of his remaining written works.
Nevertheless good thought and intention. Whoever said that, doesn't matter. It is universal and good to share thoughts as every relighted persons do and did in the past.
St. Cecilia gave us a teaser at the hour of her death. There must have been music in Heaven an infinite-fold more beautiful than this already gorgeous arrangement. Hard to imagine, no? :)

I am in awe of the grace, talent, and beauty on display here. Masculine, meek, gentle. This is a piece of heaven touching earth. The secular music industry is incapable of producing something so heavenly.
As a French guy going every sunday to the Latin Mass I can say this gregorian interpretation of "Ubi carita est" is awesome. Well done guys to make discover to many people the beauty of the gregorian chant. Hope you'll do more ! God bless you.
Not gregorian. I'll copy a reply I made elsewhere on this post: the text is ancient but the musical setting is a modern composition by Ola Gjeilo. Since you like this, you'll also like his other works and probably also sacred and secular works by Arvo Paert, Eric Whitacre, James MacMillan, John Tavener and others.
Impeccable intonation and tone without using vibrato - especially when one has trained and used a natural vibrato in almost everything else they sing - is no small feat! At the same time, it's central to what makes Gregorian chant sound so pure and angelic. Above and beyond your usual stellar skills, this was amazing and a treat to listen to. Thank you and God bless you all!
The music and voices are stunningly beautiful, as others have noted, but what I love is that no one is reaching or grabbing for a note. The melodies and harmonies just float on the air after a collective breath. The sense of forward motion propels the line and the delicate ebb and flow of the phrasing is breathtaking. The suspensions and resolutions are gentle and unforced. This is world class singing. And, the musicality and soulfulness of the performers touches my heart deeply. Thank you, gentlemen. May you sing forever.
I am positive now... you have somehow found the staircase where all the Holy Angels take their breaks... and whenever you start singing they join in!!!
This made me cry! Their voices are so pure, and Gregorian music requires such precision, but I think this is literally the best I've ever heard this!! This was seriously so uplifting to stumble upon

This moved me to tears. Your arrangements are unique and your harmony soaringly beautiful. Please record more, especially sacred music like "Ubi Caritas"!
I melted at 0:33, when the monophony became homophonic, then receded back, and flowered again, each time the harmonies more elaborate, even growing dissonant, but always, consistently elegant.
Four guys in a stairwell sound like Angels in a great Cathedral-richness and glory. And the tears in my eyes blur the computer screen into rainbows of color.
