Kevin's looking increasingly like a mad scientist these days. A mad guitar scientist who spends years in his lab tinkering with his 20 jazzmasters and mountain of pedals, to create some of the most beautiful and surreal sounds known to man.
12/04/2023: Yesterday I was cooking at my friend's house, I was excited about some news, it was 9/10 pm, I've already known this album and band since 2014, for the first time I heard this song on a speaker almost at maximum, god, I never felt it so, so present, I started to cry, I could really hear Kevin's voice, what a penetrating melody, it's incredible what they achieved, i am beyond grateful for this
I saw them 3 times here in Los Angeles. They wouldn't allow you into El Rey Theater to see the show unless you physically accepted a pair of free ear plugs. They are the loudest band I've ever experienced.
I saw them twice in 1992, on their Loveless tour. Once with Dinosaur Jr, and once with Pavement and Superchunk. I think I lost 10% of my hearing between those two shows. At the second show, “You Made Me Realize” stretched on for almost 30 minutes.

probably one of the best songs ever made
i feel like i would be hypnotized seeing this live
The wall of amplifiers was a thing of beauty. Didn't wear the ear plugs they recommended, it sounded better without.
Rip your ears
bet the rest of life didnt sound much better
It looks like there are a dozen heads back there. Is that the usual MBV set up? Gear galore.
Yep, pretty standard. From what I gather, every amp has one backup, so it's not *that* crazy...
Wow what a song!
so pretty

Hi flyingfish
Kevin looks a bit like Robin Guthrie, here
How loud was this ?!

They are so loud it puts you in a trance. The sound goes through you and vibrates every part of you including your soul. A one of a kind experience.
