19:55 and when the Merry saw Iceberg, the one man to whom she still owed a debt, she knew her crew would make it to shore safely, she bowed her head in thanks to him before saying her final goodbye. Merry was truly like her original owner, kind and grateful to those who helped her till the end.

The cover pages goes into looking at how Lucci was after what Luffy did to him. Luffy put him into a coma for a pretty long time.
Also a fun fact, that cover arc is the ONLY place you'll ever see a full on beast mode Jabra.

I know I'm a year and 4 months late, but I just wanted to comment on what you noticed about the animation. If I'm not mistaken, this episode was made during a time when traditional paper animation was gradually transitioning to digital animation, not just in One Piece (TOEI), but in many Japanese anime studios as well. I can still vividly remember that it was also around the same time when Naruto was battling Pain in Shippuden, if my memory serves me right. Most animators had a bit of a tough time adjusting at first, which was evident in some episodes of both One Piece and Naruto Shippuden. However, it's amazing to see how far animation has come now. Everything looks so awesome! Hehe 😅
