I fucking hate Audeze's marketing bullshit here. It's not "crystal infused". It's glass-fibre reinforced nylon, a VERY widely used material in ALL industries that use injection-molded plastics from power tools to RC toys to airsoft guns. There's absolutely nothing at all special about it, but the customers and reviewers are swallowing that shit like it's some ultra high-tech wonder material.
Excellent. GreatI comparison. I loved the original LC2 fazor, but it’s heavy. I like Grado RS2E more than any of the Audeze’s I’ve heard, although I currently only have isine10
Would you mind comparing these to the LCD-GX? I'd like to know if I can get a 'do it all' headphone, or if I need to separate gaming and laid back music needs. Thanks
The lcd gx is I believe better at imaging better then both of these? I would not know because I haven’t heard either of these only the lcd gx. You can check out gaming audio guide on UA-cam he compares the gx to the 2c.
Nice work great comparation I would suggest if you can make comparation between planar headphones under 300 usd to be specific the m1060 , argon and tr60p It will be a great comparation too
Where does LCD2.2 pre-fazor sit in this comparison? I know that it's probably the least comfortable, but I'm curious sound wise. If I remember correctly Z did a comparison with the original LCD2 pre-fazor (2.0?), but I believe there is a big difference between 2.0 and 2.2.
Hey dms. Really looking to pull the trigger on a higher end pair of headphones. Currently have a pair of hd650s and final e5000 iems and love them. I listen to electronic, ambient, and rap.

I found this to be the case - the 2C sounds a bit more shouty and I do remember my 2F 2016 bamboo model having nice bass extension at the cost of some quantity. I think I prefer the 2F myself. Coincidentally, I got the 2F Shedua wood and it sounded awful. Treble was very bright, mids was plasticky. They definently made some changes 2020+ onward. They now went back to rosewood but I don't know if they sound the same as the Shedua. They claim they do but I don't have any personal experience. What wood is that on your 2019 LCD 2F? Was it bamboo?
You do realize that the reason they made the LCD2C was specifically for the sound signature of the pre-fazor designed LCD-2. (Which is why they named it "Classic". ) The implemented "fazor" frequency sculpting of the LCD driver doesn't necessarily cater to the engineered sound of all genres / listening perspective of all recorded music. See... you learn something new everyday !
I have the LCD2f and love them, but the pads are worn (stock pads fake leather/pleather), so I bought some Dekoni leather ones. Nope, the comfort is not as good, but also it messed up the lower end; things got muddy. I would guess due to being leather (harder for sound to escape) and stuffing they used. Next up was Audeze own brand, the new style that came out in 2020. And again, to me, they suck. They are shallower, not as comfortable, and the soundstage is reduced/detail. I have looked all over, but no one does the old pads; even Audeze doesn't have old stock. If I cannot find ones that equal my original stock, I will probably have to sell up and buy something else.
@@ericdaniel323 They feel/look like lambskin but the way they pealed/flaked, points to them being vegan. After trying many pads, I found a random company called AHG. They were the cheapest ones and the closest to the original sound signature. I would say they are a 90/95% match. I cannot get over how bad (if wanting original sound) the new Audeze pads are. I wish they did a run of the old ones.
Thanks for jumping right into it instead of making a stupid long intro. Yours is right to the point and it's great
2c - more mids/vocals.. 2f more details less mids... not much of a difference in other fields.
Which one have better bass response and fun sound??
I think lcd-2c is better value, what you think??
If anyone is willing to help, can you tell me the name of the balanced cable DMS uses here?
Excellent comparisons DMS. I think the LCD2C has crystal-infused nylon rings instead of metal, but it certainly feels very tough.

@@Orcinus24x5 People are dumb 🤷🏾♂️
DMS! love your work! Will you review the LCD-X?? I've never heard you even mention them!
my ultrawide monitor thanks you!
DMS can you please compare ZMF Aeolus, LCD-2 and LCD-2C?
This is the video I have been waiting for
Same. I'm going with the LCD-2 Fazor. That price difference is annoying but ah well

do you know which are the differences between lcd2 fazor 2015/2016 (first versions) and lcd2 fazor 2019? in terms of sound.
I'm interested in those custom cables. Who makes them?
Nice work great comparation
I would suggest if you can make comparation between planar headphones under 300 usd to be specific the m1060 , argon and tr60p
It will be a great comparation too
LCD-4 Vs. DIANA when?
You got a Aeon Flow Open review somewhere in you library?
If not i would very much like if you reviewed the. Thanks.

Name the cables you're using, please? Thanks
how do they sound without EQ? I don't really like EQ but people say its unlistenable without it.

Did they change the wood in the 2019 2s, doesn’t look like bamboo
It looks like the rosewood they had on the older LCD-2 as an option. Good choice in my opinion, I never liked the look of the bamboo.
I felt stupid watching this on a vertical monitor
Lol
Afaik its crystal infused nylon in the outer rings. Similar to what the HD800 line uses.

Get this boi 100k subs already
Thank you. Very useful and informative.
It's a fiberglass material in the LCD 2C cups.
Dope intro!
i like your old intro more than your new but the content is stil nice

I guess id go for the fazor because the detail is better and you get a dam pelican case as well.

Liked the video, thanks!
Lcd2c or aeon flow
I have none but as i read on reddit and headfi 2c is better than afo
Which vegan pads did you use on the 2Cs?
@Mike O'Horny Audeze actually calls them "vegan pads" because they're made of fabric and not leather.
i guess im supposed to watch this video split across two monitors
Oh yeah yeah
Your the best!
