      Another great video on a good product.
      Curious do you have a video or tips on washing a convertible car?

      Thank you.

    Decent enough. However, I think a freshly dressed tyre is extremely satisfying and completes the final touch whether it's a full detail or a quick wash.

      From the sound of it, it sounds like the shine only lasted 1.5 months and 12 car washes before I’d consider it as “washed away”.
      This 3 month update sums it up for me… it’s a 6 week tire shine. Perfectly acceptable in my book. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Hey pan, about 5 months ago you did a video on the avalonking armorshield 9. I asked how long would it last on a windshield for a truck driver. You didn't know but I would like to give you an update. I drive about 3k miles a week so I put about 60k miles and I have been through all weather types rain, snow, even bug seasons. The result I haven't had to apply a second application yet. Next month I will because I'm getting mostly water sheeting now but I still have great visibility in the rain. Before this I was applying rainx on the windshield biweekly.
    So thanks for the recommendation!

And still there it will last I am sure over a year. I use dura coating tire coating. And it’s only 39.99 for kit! Ya can’t beat it. Trust stuff is amazing!

    Late to see this. The positive to this is it seems to prevent dirt from penetrating into the rubber, so even if you top it with dressing it will make your tire cleaning during washes a guaranteed one pass job. That’s a great perk.

    I've used this product and am happy as well. Agree with Pan that I'd like a little more gloss and will try the new formula. Looks great on my car (low profile tires) but found it too difficult to apply on my wife's SUV due to the large diameter and sidewalls. This is a much needed product and am glad that CarPro is already making improvements to the product.

    Looks like a great product. My only concern is that my vehicle is a truck with a very aggressive, knobby sidewall. I can see myself using the entire bottle in one application trying to get into all the tread of the sidewalls. I switched to Lone Star Tire Coating about 4 or 5 months ago and it lasts longer than 3 months, been very impressed.

    Hi Pan,
    My experience with Blackout has been exactly the same as yours. 3 months of application and still has excellent hydrophobic properties, but the initial soft gloss is gone. Now a dull matte black. Another comment below mentioned Adam’s Graphene Tire Dressing. That stuff is the the bomb, especially when it is applied after a car wash to a tire that has already been preprinted with it.

I have a very clean 2019 Pathfinder/ a 2006 clean Mini Cooper and my 2017 Harley Road Glide special that is also showroom quality. I use the Meguiar's Endurance Tire Gel. Which works just fine for my buck. I like you would rather have a shine instead of a flat appearance. I went with Meguiar's tire gel because of your recommendation. Works just fine for my rides. I also recently applied the Armor Shield IX and I'll let you know how it goes after my first wash. Thanks for all you do Pan. So I have a question. I have a Toyota 2019 Corolla, and I want to start learning how to detail so later in life when I get a corvette I know how to properly keep the paint job.my paint job now has some chips and unfortunately an egg stain on it that I eventually plan on repainting. Is it still a good idea to apply wax over it? I plan to figure out how to add the advance forms of ceramic waxes from your videos but I want to know if it’s still okay to apply it even after I have some spots that aren’t pretty lol thank you so much!

    Hey Pan, awesome videos as always never disappoint with results! Quick question i am planning to detail my car soon, best results for iron X apply to wet or dry paint and should I agitate it? Let me know man appreciate it 🙏

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  3 роки тому

      It depends on your level of iron contamination. If you see lots of orange specs, wash the car, dry it, spray IronX on dry paint and agitate it with a microfiber towel or mitt, rinse.
      If you don’t see much contamination, wash car, rinse, spray IronX on wet paint, let it dwell, rinse.

      @@PanTheOrganizer sounds good, and I wash my car every week so maybe its not that heavily contaminated but who knows. Also am going to protect it with turtle wax flex wax, can I put CG butter wet wax over it for additional gloss? It won't affect the performance of flex?

    Great video question if applying a dressing over the top of this would it be like a paint coating eg you wouldnt put a wax over a ceramic coating ? would the properties be blocked in a similiar way?? So maybe just apply pearl iv thought about this myself but I'm very unsure of the chemical compatability ?

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  Рік тому +1

      You could certainly use a compatible tire dressing on top for maintenance. Like CarPro PERL diluted 1:1 for example.

    Looks like it held up pretty well man! Would you say it's more durable/longer lasting than Optimum in your experience?

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  Рік тому +1

      It has been a while since I tested the Optimum tire coating, but I would tend to say that the BlackOut is really the best tire coating I have tested to this day. 5 months durability in summer months, and 2-3 months in harsh Canadian winters in my conditions really makes this an awesome product.
      But now that their new CarPro DarkSide has been released, I prefer that. It's much less expensive, quicker/easier to apply, and I still get 1-2 months of durability from it. I made an update for that here: ua-cam.com/video/1diLQrCaj6s/v-deo.html
      I have heard that Optimum have a new updated formula of the tire coating, which I have yet to test.

      @@PanTheOrganizer Wonderful news to hear my man. I noted you mention how the new formula is a little bit glossier. So that's awesome.But yeah man that price difference is a big plus. My eyes got pretty big when I saw the price for BlackOut hahaha. I'll check out that review shortly. Thanks for the invaluable feedback man.
      P.S. I tip my hat off to you for taking those brutal Canadian winters. I'm down here in Southeast TN. So much more mild.

    Hey Pan,
    What are your thoughts on the Carpro blackout vs the Optimum tire protection & coating now that you've used both? Considering the cost is around $50 for 2 coats of carpro vs $6 for 2 coats of the optimum. Looks like application of the carpro is a lot easier, but is there a considerable difference in the durability, performance (self cleaning, hydrophobics etc.) or appearance?

    Does not save enough time or effort to make it worth it. It takes me 30 seconds a tire to apply Chemical Guys VRP and because my toy car is not a daily driver it lasts for 3-4 months.

    What about the browning that comes through due to the antiozonant in the tire? The first month after applying my two coats of Blackout was fine...tires stayed clean, but about 2 months in, the brown is starting to come through. In order clean it up, I have to use straight Purple Power because nothing else will work😑

    • @PanTheOrganizer

      You could use CarPro MultiX diluted, or any wheel and tire cleaner. For me, just a wash with a pH neutral shampoo was often more than enough. This product lasted a solid 5 months on my tires during the summer and fall.

    • @PanTheOrganizer

      Bead Maker is great for gloss and slickness but doesn’t last very long, hence why we mainly use it as a topper over an existing longer lasting protection. For something easy to apply and lasts long, watch my video here: ua-cam.com/video/b5BjDzItlr8/v-deo.html
