I’m toying with getting a pod machine but don’t drink a lot of coffee, so an inexpensive one is preferable. I am looking at this model and your video has helped. Thank you.
Mu mother in-law ended up buying one too and she rarely drinks coffee and ehen she does its normally decaf. She loves it knowing its not super expensive and does a great job. Glad I was able help you, have a great new year.
I've had one for about a year, but it recently started leaking into the pod tray.. I can't get into it to fix it, so I have bought a 'bean to cup' Phillips instead.. I used a company called 'Kaffekapslen' from Denmark.. they do lots of varieties of coffee pods and deliver very quickly.. and are amazingly cheap, too.. try them out. (I don't work for them btw..!) Good review, it pretty much sums this machine up.. 👍🏴
Why does the dispensing qty vary? I press and hold espresso button and it’s fine but as soon as I press it once, it’s not a full espresso. Also there’s quite a lot of water being released into the tray when I lift the tab
Have done but they can’t resolve it and said return it. Every espresso I make, there’s a good amount of water that goes to the tray after I lift the mechanism
Hi, you mentioned there is a way to change the amount of water that goes into the machine, is it possible you couold explain how or maybe do a video showing us? What I am finding is i press the large button but it only fills the cup halfway, so I have to press it again to get a full cup. I looked at some other videos and it said to hold down the button whilst filling the cup and it would remember it for the next time but that didnt work, do you have any suggestions to be able to press the button once and it puts enough water in to fill the cup please? Thank you
From what I recall is you press and hold the button until it starts flashing, once the drink is pouring you let go. Press the button again when it gets to the water level you want. It should then remember that setting. Remember though, the recommended sizes for a lungo is 50-70ml.
@@brewswithviews hi, I’ve tried this and it doesn’t seem to work. I find it very strange that you can’t set your own cup filling level. The booklet that comes with the machine says you can but it’s definitely not allowing me to set it If you find a way please let me know, thank you 🙏
I saw one of these on the lor website. There is an offer on where you get 200 pods but they are mainly espresso. I'm not a fan of strong coffee. Can I just add more water to the espresso to make a normal coffee straight from the Machine?
It wouldnt work the same like that, you would have to empty the pod and then run water through that way. What I would suggest is to top it up with boiling water from the kettle and have an americano or get a milk fothy and had milk to make lattes/cappuccinos
I used to do a double lungs, but it was too strong, so I make a lung, top it up with boiling water from the kettle and then milk. Really pleased with it.
Hi mate. Nice video 👍🏼 I’ve just got one and trying out the various pods that came with it. Still struggling to find the pod for an Americano or filter size coffee. - my go to in the morning. I wanna just chuck a pod in and get a full mug and add a splash of milk. Do I only buy XXL pods for this and press the lungo button for this size of coffee? Although I’m worried taste might be not 100%. Don’t mind using a small pod and adding hot water sometimes but it’s a bit of a faff. Any advice would be really great. Thanks.
Same issue, i really enjoyed my filter coffee pod and now cant find them. A double lungo is fine but is much stronger. You could use an espresso and top it up using boiling water like you said, its a faff though. I have before done a lungo, emptied the pod and lungo again so it puts through just hot water. I tend to use my mokka pot or v60 filter for my morning brew. I use my machine mainly for afternoon espresso or milky coffee
@@brewswithviews gotcha! Good idea about the hot water just going through the machine by pressing it again. The XXL are great for the amount but it’s just finding the right one like and not too strong like you said. Thanks for the tips. 👍🏼
@@gwblev Afternoon, 45 grams per 750 ml, which is 250mls multiply by 3. If you can pour in boiling water into the percolator, let it boil for 6 minutes, proper proper coffee
I would disagree, yes having it too hot could cause an issue but different coffees require different temperatures for extraction, also people have difference preferences. For me, running the machine with an empty pod to preheat tended to provide me a bettet espresso.

My piece was defective as well. it doesnt pierce the capsule correctly or doesnt have the right pressure resulting in weak coffee with little or no crema.

Mine is still going strong but I do like the idea of moving to a bean to cup, especially as the espresso is much better
Ahhh! That handle! It’s things like that someone should’ve noticed in the design phase.
You would suspect, however I imagine it got plaudits from all those with large counter spaces haha
Also, it looks like it is extremely stiff and entire unit moves when you try to open/ close, right ?@@brewswithviews
@panniewolnik it can be at times, if the pod tray and water tank are empty/low you have hold it down when opening.
The only complaint i have is the tempreture

There is potentially a leak, maybe worth speaking to the manufacturer. If you hold it keeps the water running, hence the full espresso.

Buy a percolator, you won’t look back

There's an offer with 200 pods and the machine for £79.99. Seems worth it right?
Yes definitely, that's the offer I went with. I actually ended buying 2.
Can you also use it as an hot water dispenser? When you want some hot water
Yea just empty the pod out and press the desired amount of water. I tend to do this to warm the machine and cup before pouring an espresso.
@@brewswithviews so you dont need a cup inside for it to work
@kmj4nsen no it will work without 👍
@@brewswithviews thnx for the info
is it better than Nespresso Inissia
I havent compared so I couldn't say. However looking at the cost of the Inissia there doesn't seem to be a huge price difference
Where is it made?
It's made in Europe, I believe it to be Romania.
@brewswithviews it's made by Phillip so it's french
I think your microphone is broken, background music is way too present.
Yes, Ive had replace the mic since unfortunately
The temp is not meant to be adjustable too hot and it will burn the ground coffee so your wrong I’m sorry

That price is Far from 59 pounds (75 USD). Here in the US is 150 dollars and only comes with 20 pods. I don't like the price.
Shame they dont have the offer on in the US like they do in the UK.
The 5 bad things are literally not a bad thing
@user-op9yw9nm4n you're right, and that what makes it such a good machine. Literally just finished a Lungo before writing this comment.
Bad music
Thank you for the feedback, will take it on board. Appreciate the time to comment.
save your money it’s crap 💩 did not last 4 months. 🤬
Both of mine have worked without issues for over a year now, rubbish if youve had bad experience though
This thing is a POS.
It blows up the pods and then can't seal, so can't make coffee.
POS machine from a POS company to avoid at ALL costs.
