You know, every single English translation that I’ve consulted from before the KJV has his name as James. Every single one. Yet you claim it is politically motivated. The KJV had the tendency to stick with traditional names. Thus the Latin Calvary, Diana, Jupiter, Mercury, and names ending is -us instead of -os. To the English speaking world, that name was James. So, yes, I do consider your view to be a conspiracy theory. James isn’t an English name any more than George is. They are both names imported into English from other languages. I’ll let you guess the origin of George.
