60 years ago some lucky young lad was probably given this bulldozer brand new and I'll bet the first thing he did was take it out into the garden to play with it. Today you have restored the same toy to pristine condition and the first thing you do is take it out into the garden to play with it. Irresistible.
Cheers David ,your spot on I couldn't resist giving it a go, the wife said what on earth are you doing playing in the dirt ,and there's me with a stupid grin on my face ,having fun 😀 All the best Martin
You did a amazing restoration on this Blaw Knox dozer Martin, construction equipment, trucks are my love, the operator named “Tom”👍that was my fathers name, this reminds me when I was 4 or 5 years old, he sat me on his lap on a D-8 cat was pushing up a pile of stone at a state Highway shop, he was an employee there, as I remembered I enjoyed the ride, Martin you brought out great memories with this build for me”Thanks”, you take care my friend , looking forward to your next restoration, see ya! 😎🚙🚗🚒🚜👋
Great casting choice, Martin. This is the kind of toy I played with as a kid, much more than the little cars. I was always out in the sandbox building roads. Great memories. You did a wonderful job restoring this one. Nice to have a spare casting for parts! Looks pristine now! 🍁☕👍
@@martindaredare I really do like seeing construction equipment miniature restorations. Dunno what it is, but since I was a tiny lad, I loved watching dozers, graters, highlifts, cranes, and dump trucks. There's just something fascinating to me about seeing these sort of machine vehicles! I thank you for sharing your excellent restoration!
I don't think I've ever seen one of these with the tracks on. Amazing with well thought out paint detail how you can transform what is usually a cast aside broken toy into a really detailed little model. Great video Martin, thanks for sharing! 🙂
Thanks for the kind words John, much appreciated my friend ,you don't find many of those complete with good tracks ,but the repo ones fit nice . All the best Martin
Another absolutely fantastic restoration Martin, your legendary detailing skills really make your model stand out. I wish you'd shown us how you did the front grille, it's incredible. I just can't praise it enough, well done. Looking forward to next week's video, all the best. Peter. 👍
Hi Martin a fantastic job this week, nice photos too. I recognised the yellow one from a few years back, just goes to show everything comes in useful sooner or later. All the best from Ian b & family.
Hi mate what a great little job to do it turned out beautiful. A bit tricky in places but you problem solved it out. I loved the outside shots at the end looked like old Tom was happy demolishing your back yard.😂😂🤣🤣 Good idea leaving the front of the blade and checker plate floor bare metal it's those little details that really make it. Cold and wet here at the moment I went out to the shed to get something from the car and discovered that the gutter down one side of the shed was blocked and all the water had flooded into the shed. Luckily it only went on the floor and not on the cars or tools. Hopefully the sun will come out long enough for me to get up the ladder and unblock it.😖 Catch you on the next one mate your videos really make my day.👍🏻👍🏻
Cheers Geoff 🍻, blimey you were lucky with not getting an indoor swimming pool then ,I thought you were going to say you went to uni block it and got soking wet 😉. We have had a hot week but now thunder storms and rain 🌧. And the nights are starting to pull in again. All the best Martin 👍
Hi there Martin im going to give your tip on the Axel end bearing over with the Grindr 👍 . The bulldozer turned out very nice but you gonna need a big low loader to put it on lol . Ralph
Another quality restoration Martin. It put up a fight but cunning and experience won in the end 😜 I liked the outdoors shots and the natural blade. Maybe the yellow on could become the basic tractor. As always thoroughly enjoyed the channel. Hope all is well with you and Mrs D. Cheers my friend, Chris 👍🏻🎯🏆🍻🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🏏🏏🇦🇺
Hi Martin another fantastic job just a question did you glue that wheel on that broke or did you use that spare body looks good a bit fiddly but you smashed it well done😊
Cheers Anthony, no to be honest it was easier to use the other casting ,I have since glued the other one back together for a future restoration just as a tractor unit. All the best Martin

It's called Blaw-Knox,Martin,not blow-knox.Not come across one in all my years at fairs/swap meets,so were not, imo, that popular.
Cheers Terry, I have put it right now 👍, yes there are plenty of these for sale at a reasonable price ,it has good play value for a youngster .
The dinky blaw Knox bulldozer and heavy tractor seem to be based on the cletrc fde and the blade made by blaw Knox
