Tried this, but on my model the latch is connected to the door. When unscrewed it disconnected and shifted which pulled the ribbon from the front control panel which cannot be reconnected. New dishwasher will have to be purchased as I see no fixes for this on UA-cam.

KitchenAid model KUDS02FRSS2 door latch releases when heat/steam builds up. I've replaced both latch and striker but problem persists. If I use a pole to wedge door closed it runs through cycle no problem. Seems to be venting at least at end cycle. What am I missing?

What was wrong with the latch in the first place? I can’t figure out if I need the latch or the striker. Both don’t appear to be visibly broken

Why did the latch need to be replaced? I have a kitchaid with the same latch but it only has one switch. The door wont stay closed, but nothibg looks broken in the latch
