    Just a quick tip... if your door has a operable handle on the front... sort of a lever action handle, you may also have a screw under the handle. Plus, there may be two screw caps on the inside of the door that have to come off once you get the panel off.

    I have the same machine that won’t take the water in. I’ve replaced the door latch, float switch and the water valve. Still no water in. The hose has hot water but the machine won’t take it in. What else am I missing here? Any help 🙏

      @@appliancepartspros WDT730PAHZ0. I don’t see any leaks or the hose is kinked. The drainage hose is above the ground. If I add water with a 🪣 the machine cleans and dries the dishes perfectly!

    I beleive i have nearly the exact same dishwasher. Im in a new place. My last one was from the 80s with the swing bar for latching. I am getting a leak out of this kitchen aide on the left bottom, not underneath. My question is how do i know if it is the latch or the gasket? It doesnt take much umf to close or open the door. The dishwasher does run. I can tell you that with the door shut there is about a 4mm extra length from the cabinet to the lower part of the dishwasher, making the top stick out more and the washer is not plum. Thoughts?

      It doesn't sound as if it is the latch. You could be having an issue with the gasket. What is the model number of your appliance and we can take a look into this for you?

      @@appliancepartspros certainly! It is a kdte254ess2 . I ran it again tonight with towels underneath and a paper towel along the side to see if any water wicked in. Tonight it did not. After looking inside the gasket does have some white ish stuff on it, probably from detergent. Another thing I noticed is on the bottom where the gasket bends from the side and extends roughly an inch, it is loose/ not glued down or held in place. This would mate with the bottom of the door. If this is meant to not be loose perhaps it moves out of place when shutting the door making a bad seal? If you have one can you see if that being loose is potentially why?

      To clarify, the gasket is held in place fine along the side. That inch or so along the bottom is not held in place

    would you know if your door latch was faulty? My dishwasher runs but I get condensation along the top and sides and it drips down to the floor. I wonder if its latching all the way.

      I have the same issue. Did you fix it ?

    • @JonnyAbs-0
      @JonnyAbs-0 Рік тому +1

      @@nathanguest6964 I still get some but i have been able to reduce it. The shelves were not pushing all of the way back in. I had to push them back a little farther. They were keeping the door slightly ajar. Also, I had to re-secure the cabinet screws by using longer ones. The dishwasher was wobbling around too much.

    I did this the same exact thing. Replaced the old latch with the new one and it’s still the same, the door still won’t close. What seems to be the problem now?

      What is the model number of your dishwasher? Have you checked for a damage spring or cable by chance?
