It breaks my heart to watch this and look back at the death of the poor 10 year old Judith Barsi, she never even got the chance to see this movie after her death from her father.... She had the potential of being a big star... if her mother just didn’t drop Judith’s case she would’ve had a chance to grow up. She was way too young.

It’s honestly really chilling how SEVERAL of Judith Barsi’s roles, including this one, were almost mirror images of her real life. It almost feels like it was beyond typecasting and it must have felt so good for her when she was cast as characters with stable and safe family lives. They had to get another girl to sing Anne Marie’s song “Soon You’ll Come Home” because the lyrics sent Judith into a crying attack so intense she couldn’t speak, and after that she was sent to a psychologist to talk about her home life. It was so bad that the psychologist was alarmed after just one session with Judith. More should have been done to help Judith AND her mother. R.I.P.

Dom DeLuis is so great as Itchy! I love the character's mannerisms, expressions, etc. And he truly is the voice of reason compared to Charlie, the con artist, who only sees what's in front of him.

Me three, Movies back then were absolutely magical, in storytelling and scope. The beautiful scores were final icing on the cake 🎂. There's no magic or inspiration anymore 😢, seems to be all be political and personal agendas and corporate profit. I've noticed that most movies scores sounds very generic with "NO" heart or emotions. I really want to bringing the back those types of movies that I grew up with ever since I was toddler and younger ages in 2000s era with more "Absolutely Magical", "Storytelling" and "Scope". Even more "Heart and Emotion".

I know Don Bluth is not really fond of sequels to his films, but had he gone through with getting involved with this movie's 1996 sequel (and had Judith Barsi lived), perhaps he could've featured Anne-Marie now an old woman and still vaguely remembers Charlie and Itchy in so long. Maybe even have some kind of relation to that sequel's kid David?
Or a prequel like Bambi 2 but with Anne Marie really miss Charlie but itchy shows Anne Marie where they first meet and go to Carface wreckage casino boat where it used to stand and find killer holding Charlie watch and he gives it to Anne Marie and he tells her that he give his own life for her to be happy and he tells her that Charlie did care about you and he did love you and how would though Charlie had a soft spot for you and Anne Marie cry in tears I never got the chance to thank him for recused me that night
All dogs go to haven 1 takes place in the 1930s and all dogs go to heaven 2 takes place in the 1990s so Anne Marie would definitely be older and voiced by and older woman
The hardest part in watching this is seeing how in “all dogs go to heaven” and in the real world she was just a helpless little girl who was treated poorly by those she saw as guardians
It’s even more sad because this is her last film and it’s about heaven, which is where she went. I hope that no one ever forgets about her or that one day someone will leave a statue or memorial for her because she deserves it.

Much like Reynolds and DeLuise, I read that Vic Tayback and Charles Nelson Reilly recorded together. Vic was legitimately threatening. It's refreshing to have Reilly in a straighter role. Also, how can you not love Anne-Marie? Judith Barsi was a wonderful child with great talent and should still be with us today. Her story is immensely heartbreaking.
I totally like this movie since I was younger and I'll be planning on the 2-D animated style from Disney once again for my dream job. I also like Anne-Marie very much and I feel bad for that little girl who wants to have new home and be adopted by her new parents.

the title of the movie is our answer. it is also explained in this movie. all dogs go to heaven because they are naturally good and loyal and kind. even though this is proven wrong, it doesn't seem to matter to the people in charge up there
Anne Marie is never mentioned in the second movie, or in the series, as her character is retconed to never have existed. She came down with the Chuck Cunningham syndrome.
I know how hard it was for Charlie walking from everything he know and all that work of him trying to get revenge on Carface but instead Anne-Marie show Charlie start love for others instead of yourself, be willing to make the ultimate sacrifice, being a hero isn't about taking care of yourself, it's about taking responsibility for other people. I honestly forgot how dark, gritty and unapologetic the original film actually was compared to the sequel. Dealing with smoking, drinking, drugs, gambling, kidnapping, abuse, torture, backstabbing and even cold-blooded murder. When Carface abducts Anne-Marie again, that was quite disturbing the way they portrayed it. Even more so with Charlie's dream of being damned and dragged straight to hell to suffer. Stranded on that bone ship floating in lava, that was overseen by what I can only interpret to be Lucifer or one of his followers, which then spawns miniature demons that begin attacking Charlie and ripping him apart?! I mean, jeez! We get the idea, Don Bluth. Why were you so adamant to traumatize young children with such grim, gory evil imagery? Perhaps this animation wasn't originally meant for kids?

The hardest part in watching this is seeing how in “all dogs go to heaven” and in the real world she was just a helpless little girl who was treated poorly by those she saw as guardians

Much like Reynolds and DeLuise, I read that Vic Tayback and Charles Nelson Reilly recorded together. Vic was legitimately threatening. It's refreshing to have Reilly in a straighter role. Also, how can you not love Anne-Marie? Judith Barsi was a wonderful child with great talent and should still be with us today. Her story is immensely heartbreaking.
I totally like this movie since I was younger and I'll be planning on the 2-D animated style from Disney once again for my dream job. I also like Anne-Marie very much and I feel bad for that little girl who wants to have new home and be adopted by her new parents.

Even to this day I can't figure out how a dog like Carface managed to get into heaven but then again I know charlie isn't as bad as Carface but that doesn't make him any better because he only did one good deed in the entire movie and was allowed to return to heaven

the title of the movie is our answer. it is also explained in this movie. all dogs go to heaven because they are naturally good and loyal and kind. even though this is proven wrong, it doesn't seem to matter to the people in charge up there

Cool Sonic 2 movie reference.
I honestly forgot how dark, gritty and unapologetic the original film actually was compared to the sequel. Dealing with smoking, drinking, drugs, gambling, kidnapping, abuse, torture, backstabbing and even cold-blooded murder. When Carface abducts Anne-Marie again, that was quite disturbing the way they portrayed it. Even more so with Charlie's dream of being damned and dragged straight to hell to suffer. Stranded on that bone ship floating in lava, that was overseen by what I can only interpret to be Lucifer or one of his followers, which then spawns miniature demons that begin attacking Charlie and ripping him apart?! I mean, jeez! We get the idea, Don Bluth. Why were you so adamant to traumatize young children with such grim, gory evil imagery? Perhaps this animation wasn't originally meant for kids?
The mini demons are really just biting him. The animators wouldn’t go that far to show them ripping his skin off.
