Coach pulled out the classic groomer line of “you’re very mature for your age” IN FRONT OF THE DOCTOR
The coach didn't sleep with her, a teammate did.
@@sparrowsayshi still a real groomer line to pull out in front of someone who legally has to report that kind of stuff
@@AnarchyPenguin she could just be mature for her age
@AnarchyPenguin They’re only mandated reporters *if there was reasonable suspicion* not just based on “groomer lines.” In the context he used it (right after she said she was used to people looking at her butt, which is reasonable given the whole swimming thing) it sounds creepy, but doesn’t rise to the level of reporting it. They didn’t even know she was pregnant at the time.
Don't ever forget Bryan Singer is an EP on this show.
The first time I watched this, I was so sure the coach got her pregnant...
Oh me too!
He's very touchy touchy !
same, but I think that was the goal. the "these kids are very mature" line did foreshadow the underlying cause of her TTP, but it's also what adults tell their victims when they've been grooming them. given the show was written by at least one actual practicing doctor who would've seen that in her career, I don't think it was a coincidence
so many jerks trying to convince creeps-ville is a healthy way are clear indications these people are dying from some real brain rot. Just how many stable humans are left until we inevitably go back into the earth?
Me too omg
On July 19, 2014, Bartusiak died at the age of 21 in her apartment behind her parents' Houston home.
I love how House uses every word in his vocabulary to not say the word abortion before just saying "No." And hobbling away.
You mean offing a person. Just had to say it.
"An abortion is not the same as ending a person's life. Young children giving birth are at risk of death or losing their ability to have children altogether."
@@TheYearIs5077YouveJustDied It is. Objectively speaking.
For whatever reason it is done, yes, someone dies.
And I have a problem with death penalty for innocents.
Now, of course, if really there is no way to save both, then save one.
However, let me tell you the case of a young girl (13) who got pregnant here in my country. A buch of vultures, I read, convinced her to end the life of her 7 month-old baby, and the result is she gave birth to a dead body. The baby doesn't disappear after his or her death. Why would anyone do that? Well, some people here want babies to be offed up until birth.

Of course it is. Zygote, embryo, fetus, infant, toddler, child, adolescent, and adult are all stages of human development and are human at every stage. That doesn't mean abortion is never justified. The case presented here is a prime example of "for the health of the mother."

Just because you act mature, doesn't mean you make mature decisions.
The problem is, that can apply to anyone, regardless of age!😮💨
Being mature and intelligent has never once been any sort of obstacle to also being a dumbass.
When kids seem mature, it's either an accident (they are mimicking behavior) or very much on purpose (some sort of massive trauma.) At least in this case it's the former.

The coach is played by Eddie McClintock probably best known for Warehouse 13 on the SyFy channel. Mary is played by Skye McCole Bartusiak died in 2014 at age 21 of an accidental drug overdose. Skye also coincidentally also had epilepsy.
Wow!😮💨
You might want to add that she died of an overdose of her epilepsy medication, not illicit drugs.
@johndunn6756 It was an overdose of hydrocodone, difluoroethane and carisoprodol. A painkiller, an inhalant and a muscle relaxer, none of which are prescribed for epilepsy. She was abusing prescription drugs, let’s be honest here. DFE is like huffing computer duster, I don’t even know where she could’ve gotten it, but it definitely wasn’t prescribed. She was a talented girl, but child stars often struggle with substance abuse and evidently, she did. We need to be honest about these things to bring attention to the real problems.
@@Sniperboy5551Well she probably wouldn't start abusing these substances if the medical care in the US wasn't so horrible. You say she took "muscle relaxer"? That's probably because she was in physical pain and the regular painkillers weren't doing the trick. I hate to pull gender into arguments, but it is also a fact that even today in the 21st century doctors tell women that their pain is nothing, that they are being hysterical and overreacting etc. When your whole health care system is based on human exploitation,of course the patients will make do with what they have.
Never knew that was Eddie!

@misssherlock2991 No, it doesn't.
Puberty starts at 8-10 for females, and 10-13 for males. It has ALWAYS been this way.
You have the dumbest take on evolution I've heard today.
Life expectancy hasn't changed in thousands of years. "Life expectancy", in the context you're using it, only changed due to less childhood deaths, over the last 100 years. People have typically lived into their 70s for thousands of years. Which has nothing to do with onset age of puberty.

Cuddy just wants to fight with him about everything & prevent him from doing his job. I like this show, but the only thing preventing me from loving it is her. Every single time he tries to do something, & 99.99% of the time he's right, she stalls him to argue about personal bs. Its a fucking hospital!
House: this patient is dying he needs help!
Cuddy: No.
That’s the whole point of her character though. She’s meant to be unlikable, he’s meant to be a super genius who always knows what to do. His character is based on Sherlock Holmes, except she (as a hospital administrator) is meant to reign him back in, put up the red tape. I wouldn’t be surprised if his romance with her started as some sort of long game to get her wrapped around his finger so she would always say yes, despite the obvious sexual tension and emotional connection. The writing and character development in this show was immaculate, I really wish Hugh Laurie was in more shows. He’s a great lead.
I feel like if anybody was in Cuddys position they would likely due the same thing even if he’s almost always right. Some of the tets they do are really dangerous and can kill or leave long lasting permanent damage so you want to be really sure before approving of those types ofbb by procedures.
