@AnarchyPenguin They’re only mandated reporters *if there was reasonable suspicion* not just based on “groomer lines.” In the context he used it (right after she said she was used to people looking at her butt, which is reasonable given the whole swimming thing) it sounds creepy, but doesn’t rise to the level of reporting it. They didn’t even know she was pregnant at the time.

For whatever reason it is done, yes, someone dies.
And I have a problem with death penalty for innocents.
Now, of course, if really there is no way to save both, then save one.
However, let me tell you the case of a young girl (13) who got pregnant here in my country. A buch of vultures, I read, convinced her to end the life of her 7 month-old baby, and the result is she gave birth to a dead body. The baby doesn't disappear after his or her death. Why would anyone do that? Well, some people here want babies to be offed up until birth.

Of course it is. Zygote, embryo, fetus, infant, toddler, child, adolescent, and adult are all stages of human development and are human at every stage. That doesn't mean abortion is never justified. The case presented here is a prime example of "for the health of the mother."

Puberty starts at 8-10 for females, and 10-13 for males. It has ALWAYS been this way.
You have the dumbest take on evolution I've heard today.
Life expectancy hasn't changed in thousands of years. "Life expectancy", in the context you're using it, only changed due to less childhood deaths, over the last 100 years. People have typically lived into their 70s for thousands of years. Which has nothing to do with onset age of puberty.
You literally have no clue what you're talking about.
When you're just making it up as you go, it's best not to hit the reply button, genius. You don't have a basic grasp of biology, evolution, or basic math.

@@Sniperboy5551Well she probably wouldn't start abusing these substances if the medical care in the US wasn't so horrible. You say she took "muscle relaxer"? That's probably because she was in physical pain and the regular painkillers weren't doing the trick. I hate to pull gender into arguments, but it is also a fact that even today in the 21st century doctors tell women that their pain is nothing, that they are being hysterical and overreacting etc. When your whole health care system is based on human exploitation,of course the patients will make do with what they have.

The coach stating they act older for their age made me shudder. As the elder sister of a man who groomed her younger sister. Said man being a person in a positolion of trust and outside of our family. Someone who brainwahsed her to the point where we really never suspected anything until she was 16, and suddenly, they were declaring their love for each other. The age of consent is 16 here. So when she refused to press charges, there was nothing they could do. He lost his company due to it, but he was never sent to jail and was working in a local supermarket for years. Nasty little man loved waving to me when i saw him. He used to be friends with his daughter, too, but she never spoke to me again aside from apologising for her fathers actions. I made sjre to tell her it wasn't her fault and the blame fell securely on her fathers shoulders

Every single time he tries to do something, & 99.99% of the time he's right, she stalls him to argue about personal bs. Its a fucking hospital!

That’s the whole point of her character though. She’s meant to be unlikable, he’s meant to be a super genius who always knows what to do. His character is based on Sherlock Holmes, except she (as a hospital administrator) is meant to reign him back in, put up the red tape. I wouldn’t be surprised if his romance with her started as some sort of long game to get her wrapped around his finger so she would always say yes, despite the obvious sexual tension and emotional connection. The writing and character development in this show was immaculate, I really wish Hugh Laurie was in more shows. He’s a great lead.

This episode irritated me so much because any post-pubescent woman who goes to the doctor for any reason will be asked to give a urine sample. Pregnancy is one of the things they check for because people lie or simply might not know they're pregnant. It's important to make sure a woman is not pregnant before starting any treatment in case she was unaware and wants to keep the pregnancy - most drugs plus something like an x-ray could really screw up fetal development, if not killing it outright.
My point is, there is no way this girl would've gotten so far into treatment without anyone realizing she was pregnant. I know medical dramas aren't real world accurate, but I know this just from being a woman who has been to the doctor. Other than that it was a great episode; I had a hunch there was going to be some plot twist where the older male coach was a creep.
