After I dumped him I found out that he had contracted an STD (not life threatening, but still…) I didn’t contract anything, and I’ve still never had any STDs/STIs.
This actually happened to my partner. His dad was cheating on his mum and had an STD that gave her ovarian cancer. Needless to say, I want to fight that man every time I see him.
I just wished that she should have left that deadbeat dad/ husband though since nothing can ever make up for trying to set me up for death in anyway because of one’s choice to cheat but I do hope she’s doing way better off health wise and is alright!
Wrapping before you tapping isn't 100%. If you're going to step out on your spouse, make sure it is with their consent and that you do so knowing the status of the person you are stepping out with. I mean those are some of the the actual rules of open and poly relationships.
Years ago, I was in a hospital for a minor procedure. The guy I shared a room with was much worse off than I was. At one point, a doctor came in to talk to him and I couldn't help but hear what the doctor said. It was along these lines: "Mr. (so-and-so), I'm Doctor (Something-or-other). I wanted to give you an update on your condition. Your (something) test shows signs of improvement, but we're concerned about (some other thing), so we're increasing your meds. When I found out that my ex-husband had been cheating on me for 11 years, I went and had everything tested. I was one of the lucky ones. I didn’t have anything.

He had a one night stand because she was "distant" for a year. Turns out she'd been having an affair. The husband deserved better. For all we know, she gave it to him, not vice-versa.
People are so demonic. He knew he had an STD but chose to be selfish. Then what kills me is men will say they cheat because there wives don’t have sex with them. If she’s not having sex how did she end up with the same STD you had?🤨🤨
Not gonna justify cheating. But i have seen coworkers talk about their wives. The amount of begging and bending over backwards they have to do to get laid by their own wife is insane. Then there are the wives that weaponizes sex to get whatever they want from a guy. Again not a reason to cheat but enough reason to consider divorce. Some people are so dam EVIL! This is why it’s good to get tested every 6 months to a year because even when you think you know someone! They can and will betray you
And this is why you can't take anybodys word for it. If you're getting ready to be intimate with your partner. Ask each other to take an STD test. It be an uncomfortable thing to ask. But not nearly as uncomfortable as it'll finding out later they gave you something nasty.

Do you mean to say getting tested every few months should be made mandatory? But even that's as impossible as stopping people from cheating by making a law. People cheat for various reasons. @@grace52775 I disagree. Retributive justice feels very tempting, it's a sophisticated form of revenge, and that's what most societies do. However, it's useless in solving the problem. There's a difference between supporting the victim emotionally / financially and taking their side. Taking sides is stupid, it means you refuse to scrutinise the situation beyond a point, which would be unfair according to the current judicial standards. Partner cheating on you may be emotionally hurtful but there could be several reasons for that. ...Ethical polyamory would be much better. But please don't be under a misconception that you won't catch STIs if you are monogamous 😂 All it requires is contact, not necessarily direct involvement.
