I enjoyed the format of this video. Cant wait for advent to start! Between you and Matt Porter, the daily content is much appreciated. Keep em coming Boys!
Or do this with non allocated bottles. Just do this with random accessible bottles and say what you’d pay for it. Could be a fun way to see what is punching above its price point
Hey Dave, I’ve been a subscriber of Bushradical for a long time. I also rooted for you and Brooke on Alone, and was super excited to see you both on it. I don’t even make UA-cam videos, but I have worked professionally in video and corporate communications for my entire career. These videos are awesome and I appreciate you giving back to the community in this way. Y’all are the best and I wish you continued success!
Love this concept! I think I'd prefer if you didn't show the bottles during the tasting but kept them to the end as a surprise. I was losing track especially because Boone County was in twice haha
Found a Knob Creek 18 a Walmart Liquor on tuesday.....$169.00 before tax. Found an Elijah Craig A124 at ABC the same day.....I'm hugging both bottles now.
I just found a Michters 10 for $300 while hunting in Bardstown, KY yesterday. Considering I don’t live in Kentucky and I’ve never seen it on the shelf anywhere where I live, I’m pretty happy with my purchase.
You should review RockCastle batch 18. Tried it for the first time lately and it is a monster bottle. Only $80 but beats several of my $200 bottles in blinds
I had to wait through the ad before I could comment, and then commented during their sponsored segment before the video actually started. Your comment is just being ironic, right? (That being said, I love the BJs and want them to make money, so im fine with the ads)
Secondary is crashing right now, you can pick up a stagg/elmer for like $140-$160 right now (shipped to your door), as opposed to the $200-$250 they were going for even earlier this year. Still more than SRP, but not bad
Yea secondary, for us, was always about being able to pay a little more but get access to a bottle you don't see. It got crazy there for a bit and shifted to MAX PROFITZ, which honestly just sucked.
I never pay above retail and the only bottle I would spend over $150 for would be the RR15 I’ve drank quite a few of the Limited releases and tater bottles- there’s so many bottles below $70 just as good
Not a fan of this format….reviewing different bottles, talking over each other. Would rather see you review same bottles…blinded. Still a fan, love the content.
This is a dumb video. Buying bottles for you guys is a business expense…. You get to hunt, over spend, and flash your extremely allocated bottles. The rest of us scrape what ever money we have left over at the end of the month and buy budget bourbons. We are NOT the same. Don’t pretend to be. You have more money in your bourbon collection than most people have in a retirement account
It's been a fun past 6 months watching your videos, but after attempting this hobby for 6 months in Kansas City. I am throwing in the towel. I have been treated terribly by gatekeepers of bourbon when trying to learn and have fun. Heaven forbid you ask a shop owner if they have any Eagle Rare. Be prepared for eye-rolls and shaming if you aren't interested in their store picks. Anything that you get behind a glass case in Kansas City should be considered rape. Big Box stores require you to drink to near liver failure within 1 year to earn a chance to pay overpriced for a bottle of allocated bourbon. To date, my best bottle purchase in Kansas City, when all things are considered, money, value, etc.. was a bottle of Wild Turkey Rare Breed from Costco. My suggestion is to use the money that you would waste in Kansas City to go on Vacation...maybe to Kentucky to pick up some bottles at reasonable prices and easy accessibility. And add bourbon hunting to the long list of activities Kansas City is not good for.
Its not that serious my guy - Facebook groups and online ordering are your friend for bottles you're actively hunting. Throwing in the towel at the wrong time when you got into it arguably at its peak shit-tier economics. Hold on tight the bubble is bursting and prices are dropping already 🎉
Sorry to hear that. Kansas City does seem to be all over the place for Bourbon prices, but Wichita and Salina while further out had great pricing when I hunted there a few years ago. I would stay away from Louisville and Kentucky ; unless you are finding at Costco, Krogers, Total Wine or a distillery, every allocated bottle is generally more expensive than online stores. And when you get Black Friday sales and no shipping, there are some good deals out there.
@@AndrewAbides I've seen Eagle Rare for $120, Blanton's for $200, Weller SR for $70, and Antique 107 was $300. $2500.00 For a chance to get some Eagle Rare at Total Wine. $75 for a ticket to an event at Red X for the "chance to enter and win a drawing for a chance to buy a bottle at over MSRP. You can get a punch card at Pina Wine and Spirits and after spending $250 you can have a "chance" to buy a bottle at over MSRP. Literally everywhere I searched was gatekeeping good bourbon. Bourbon hunting is the most time-consuming, expensive waste of money "hobby" that I have ever tried.
@ Yup. I’ve had a lot of similar experiences. Definitely gets expensive driving around and coming up with nothing. A lot of these stores save it for their friends so that cuts down on a lot of your chances. Few places just put it out for MSRP and let the lucky guy get it.

This was one of the best head to head competition videos you've put out in a long time, looking forward to this year's advent!
I feel so much better now... I just got my first michters 10 for $209. Im happy it stood up to its price point.
I enjoyed the format of this video.

Do more of these! Keep score and give it some POOOOOOOUUURRRRRR GUESSES vibe!

I absolutely love the content/premise of this video. Please do many more of these!

Just purchased 2024 Big Stagg, 2024 Ofo Birthday, & an Elmer for $400 total yesterday. Happiest day I’ve ever had in this hobby
Retail on the Four Roses LE is $220.
I liked this format and style. Let's do more of these
Great format, y'all, keep doing these!
Haven’t seen you guys in awhile love the new set up

Excellent thumbnail guys 😂
Loved this video!!!
Call back to the old pour guesses episodes without the challenging format!! Great!!

This is pretty much where I'm at. If I see something I know I like and it's hard to find, it still feels like a win even with a bit of a markup.
You should review RockCastle batch 18. Tried it for the first time lately and it is a monster bottle. Only $80 but beats several of my $200 bottles in blinds
Where do you find Michters 10 for $250? Everywhere i look its $350 and up.
I always sleep better Nick is spooning me and Cam is asleep at our feet.😅
I want to see you guys nose that bottle on top shelf, 4th from the left
How did you get that Boone at the lexington airport?!....I thought duty free is fit international travel
Duty free is just a separate thing in airports that require an international ticket to buy from. You don't pay the same taxes.
@BourbonJunkies , ah I see. The store at Lexington is not Duty Free.....its just a store behind TSA.
Review the Wild Turkey 70th edition please
I love how u guys dont start with a commercial, the lords work there 🥃
They literally do

Just goes to show no bottle is really worth over $120… especially secondary

My local liqour has a deal for stagg/ETL/W12 $99ea. I cleaned out there stagg inventory 4 bottles. 3 23c and 1 23b.
Not in Michigan! Most online liquor stores won’t ship to Michigan
@@fitter6362 I know, we need to get that insanely stupid law repealed!!
@@Liquid_spirits88you’re a hoarder dude. Save some for others.
Anyone else ready for advent?
badvent is about competition, bring back the daily competition, even if it is a different setup and game! ;)
Low to mid-$200's on M10B is probably about a hundred off
I wish I had a makers cellar 2023
I always here guys say secondary prices, what are secondary sites people use to buy bourbon?
Facebook “black markets” essentially
El Cerrito, Nestor Liquors , Sip Whiskey
4roses le is 225 now
Four Roses = 220
These are all allocated/limited edition bottles. Vampire: I'd pay $100 for it. Oof.
Completely out of touch with regular bourbon drinkers with these prices.
Which is why we watch them drink these. They aren’t spending my money so please drink away and tell me better than I can afford
I never pay above retail and the only bottle I would spend over $150 for would be the RR15 I’ve drank quite a few of the Limited releases and tater bottles- there’s so many bottles below $70 just as good
What are your favorites?
@ RR store picks Redwood Empire Penelope 9yr JT Meleck Cask Strength Bardstown Wheated 1792 SB All below the $75 range
woo hoo
First 2:30 mins of commercial
Listen I'll go add some chapters. Said it before and I'll say it again. Ad spots help with the bills. Production is expensive.
@@BourbonJunkiesexpensive, but you absolutely love being bourbon ambassador’s. Pressure is on, we’re watching 😂

Agreed. I’m out in that area too. I have had some luck here and there but the prices are pretty rough.
