- Not all fairytales end the way we expect.
Every 3 minutes dementia steals a happily ever after. Research is our only chance of making it a thing of the past.
Alzheimer's Research UK exists to find a cure. But we must act now to save our stories from the heartbreak of dementia sooner.
Please stand with us and together we will stop dementia in its tracks. #ForACure
Better than anything Disney has produced in the last several decades
You don't have to smear one thing to be able to like another.
I have no words except for these: WHO. MADE. THIS. MASTERPIECE!!!
Average person: "You can't make an audience cry in just 60 seconds."
Above+Beyond: "Hold my beer"
We saw this a trailer at the cinema - This is a truly captivating and heartbreaking take that left it's audience bereft.
An amazing and inspirational piece of story telling and animation.
Thank you so much for all your support! It’s a hard-hitting film because we need to show the way dementia destroys lives. We’re determined to find a cure for everyone affected. 🧡
@@AlzheimersResearchUKI have so much respect for what you guys do. I hope we soon find a cure for Alzheimers.
Thanks for all your support, we are truly grateful for it. 🧡
As someone who has lived this Fairy Tale, I can say that this is a very fair representation of how it goes. Or at least, how it went for us.
After thirty three and a half years of marriage, and forty one years together, it is all but a year since my Prince left this life. And like the Princess in the story i am sat here weeping after watching this.
I hope and pray that the ending can be changed for the many who will follow in my footsteps.
That's a strong advert.
Thank you for your comment! It's no fairytale, but this is sadly the reality for people affected by dementia. We exist #ForACure so we can put a stop to the devastation and heartbreak dementia causes. 🧡
Yes and it sickens me how little views and comments it receives juxtaposed to the tiktok **** that attracts millions! This disease will humble millions, maybe its about time it attracted as many online as it affects in real life!
I recall watching my grandmother endure the humiliation an academicly brilliant woman torn down bit by bit and the damage done to those around you.
A very powerful video, it hit so had that made my cry, Alzheimer's disease is pure evil.
Life is so so cruel unfortunately 😔
Whoever made this should get a raise.
Thank you so much for your support! Thank you for standing with us. 🧡
It's honestly terrifying considering it runs in my family. Seeing my grandmother not recognise me was so painful. I can barely imagine losing parts of myself like that, I honestly am less scared of death than this.
Wow! Hard hitting but great. I lost my mother to dementia a couple of months ago. We watched her for years slowly be engulfed by this dreadful condition.
People say we in effect lost her years ago but very rarely we’d see the old her in her eyes. Now she has physically gone the sense of loss is shattering.
I’d hate to have dementia and would dread my children to have to see me go through what their dear Nan did.
I’d be really interested in some sort of voluntary work in helping families cope with a dementia diagnosis.
I’ve always thought that we expect to bury our parents but the void it leaves when the person who brought you into the world is intensely painful.
The heart never forgets.
We love you, fighters. Always.
Coming here from LinkedIn, where an author I follow shared this video this morning. I live in Germany and I hope that this video will spread all over the globe with the speed of light.
Thank you for your hard work in fighting dementia and also for the job of the team which made this video possible.
Thank you for supporting our film all the way in Germany, Szvath! 😊 We appreciate your kind words as together, we stand for a cure. 🧡
I could never live with Alzheimer’s or dementia. I have a plan set in place for when / if I’m diagnosed with it.
But I wish you luck on your journey to cure this
Same here. Alzheimers with my aunt, dementia (which hasn't been quite as destructive) with my mum. I hate seeing her so lost and, assuming I get it, am ready to go whilst I'm still able to do it.
I can't believe the amount of tears a split second was able to cause
WHY IS THIS NOT VIRAL YET
Because then people would parody the hell out of it, loosing all of its meaning and becoming little more than a meme that tried to spread awareness.
Saw this ad yesterday at the cinema and was very impressed with it.
Thank you so much Pamela! 🧡 We appreciate your support! It’s not a story we want to tell, but one that we urgently need to tell.
I came here from Twitter. I had to find the video on UA-cam.
Same right here.
Pain. Anguish. Sorrow even.
Wow...very powerful advert which I recognised as I went through it with my Mum. I Was quite emotional in watching it to be honest 😢❤
Hi Oli, thank you so much for watching the film. We know it's a heart-breaking story, and particularly hard to watch for those affected by dementia. I'm so sorry to hear about your mum - dementia is a devastating thing to have to go through, and we're determined to find a cure to stop this heartbreak 🧡
This is so so incredibly heartbreaking as well 😢
Just of the phone with my wee daddy and it’s so hard.
I’m very sorry to hear about the difficulty and pain you are going through. We promise we will not stop until dementia can no longer destroy lives. 🧡 - Rhyan
Independent doctors in the US have been successfully using a ketogenic/ketovore/carnivore diet to treat and reverse Alzheimer’s and all forms of dementia for over a decade now. There are countless testimonies available to the public now. This will never become mainstream knowledge in either the US nor the U.K. because our healthcare system (and media) is completely controlled by a hostile alien nation who seek to destroy our peoples across the planet and use their influence to direct profits towards their cold-blooded corporations. Did you know in the US Alzheimer’s has been reclassified as ‘type-3 diabetes’?
Probably not. But anyone versed in nutrition or metabolic biochemistry to any degree will know that Alzheimer’s and dementia in general are metabolic diseases caused by excessive inflammation as a direct result of chronic excessive glucose metabolism.
You had NO RIGHT to make me cry at 11 am 😭😭😭😭😭😭
I saw this advert at the cinema awhile back
So good, crushed me
Caring for a family member with Alzheimer's long term seems like a noble cause but it's not.
You don't know until it's already destroyed you.
😲Simply powerful
This and the Alzheimer Society bus stop advert just shutter your heart to pieces
I thought this advert was for like some washing up liquid or cleaning products or something cause Ciff did one with a princess in an enchanted land. Or it was advertising a fairy tale short stories on amazon prime. When I watched it till the end I was like Damn! This turned a dark corner was not expecting that!
Thank you for your support! It’s no fairytale, but this is sadly the reality for people affected by dementia. We exist #ForACure so we can put a stop to the devastation and heartbreak dementia causes. 🧡
Sadly such a true story. 😢
Thank you for showing your support. With you standing with us we’re getting closer to a cure for dementia. But there’s still more we need to do to save lives. Take action #ForACure: alzres.uk/foracure 🧡
I feel like what makes this so impactful is how much more terrifying it would be for this to happen in a middle age setting. Imagine someone getting dementia in an era where there were no doctors, hospitals, advances in science, therapists, or anyone with the qualities or experience to properly diagnose what was wrong with them. They would just be deemed insane, cursed, or some sort of unholy being and be sentenced to prison / death. Yet the princess was courageous enough to stay by his side for the rest of their lives regardless of the heartbreak it brought both of them. We've all seen psa's before but this helps to recontextualizes the situation in a way that leaves you completely heartbroken and left thinking about what you just witnessed. It's truly better than like 95% of the slop Hollywood has made in the last 10 years.
This reminds me so much of my parents, truly heartbreaking.💔
Just saw this on tv and immediately researched
Same… watching the SAS thing? what an advert!
Also here from the advert in SAS. This short story really hits the feels.
Thank you for coming here from the advert in SAS! This is a story we feel needs to be shared so more people can help us stop the heartbreak and devastation dementia causes. 🧡
The pain
It doesn't matter whether the story is real or not. It matters that we understand the story and how applicable it becomes to our lives.
Underrated
If there are awards for this sort of thing, this needs to win it or be nominated as a minimum. Brilliant and unashamedly brutal in how insidious a condition this is
Hi Guy, thanks for your support. We hope to share information about an award nomination for 'Change the Ending' very soon - watch this space! 🧡
This is incredible marketing. Honestly well done...
Saw this on IFunny once. It hurt
This ending was really exciting
This is it
Pain
I've just seen this on the telly... sobbing my heart out
Me too
Only 10k views!? COME ON!
With crisper Alzheimer’s will become a thing of the past
This is the most saddest thing I have ever watched 😭😭😭😭
😢
Sad

Thank you for supporting our film, Passion Pictures animated our campaign! 😊 We appreciate your kind words as together, we stand for a cure. 🧡
Who animated this? It looks really good.
Screw this horrible disease i lost my dear father to it...allah yerahmek baba la3ziz 🤲🏻...rip
My grandfather has Alzheimer's. I have to reintroduce him to my wife every time we see him. The time is coming when I'll have to reintroduce myself...
Disney grade animation
Great! I have ideas for, using mostly current technology, helping someone training or trying to understand, do just that better/at a higher level with more sensory involvement. Which can lead to more info learned.😊
Who is narrating this?
