Think I wet myself a little.... This. Looks. Great!!! The theme is a little abstract, but it certainly feels like a walk in the fall over forest leaves (crunch, crunch, crunch, crunch)
Thanks for the gameplay. A real brainmelter, that game! 😮 1:03:34 I believe that Nick could not make the token-flip with inventing after travelling, if there was no sage there. 🤷🏼♀️
That looks like an absolute brain bender, good fun to watch you puzzle it out. I should probably try and find and play a Lacerda game at some point, I'm not sure if it'll be entirely my jam, but I want to try it out as an experience.
If you like any kind of euro game, it is definitely worth trying out. I'd suggest Vinhos or Kanban as a first one. The Gallerist is also a pretty good first Lacerda.
Thank you for the run-through guys! I like the idea but the early weight/complexity rating on BoardGameGeek is 4.52 out of 5. That is the highest complexity I have seen. However, being in the invention engine builder space, I can see that it needs to innovate into something new and unique, which it does.
video is good, game makes my eyes glaze over. what I like about the best Lacerda games (Kanban, On Mars, Vinhos, Gallerist) is how beautifully thematic they are. this one feels far too abstract for my taste.
Agree, theme doesn't come through this game's mechanics at all. The mechanics are engaging but what you are inventing and the tiles you are placing on your board are meaningless cards/tiles.
Personally, I think this is just as beautifully thematic as the other games you mentioned. Like Weather Machine, the theme isn’t initially apparent, but after a few plays it really starts to make sense.
I love your gameplays and 98% of the time two can chanhe my mind a about a game. Just by how much fun it seems like you two are having and just generally understanding the rules. The latter of the two helps a lot. Stalker being the most recent. I understand Euros are suppose to be dry and thinky, but my God this game is DRY. Its like watching someone go to college, but youre only watching them go to class, go back home and do homework.
Hey can’t win them all but that’s what I love about board games. There’s a million of them so everyone can find stuff they like and it’s totally alright if this one isn’t your cup of tea :)
Thank you for being fans of Lacerda games! And for this entertaining and engaging playthrough of Inventions: Evolution of Ideas. 😁
how to impress board gamer's: explain a lacerda game in less then 30min. You did it in 7, that in itself should be remembered in the years to come.
Thanks for the playthrough! I am finally going to get a chance to plays this! So excited for all the brain burny goodness!!

In the stone age when you are looking for the closest thing to a taco, and you have a horse right there rotf
I'll be honest, this is hot nonsense to us but we appreciate you
I think I watched the intro to this about 15 times. “Roads”
hahahaha

Definitely give one of those games a try sometime I think it’s definitely worth experiencing even if it doesn’t become your favorite thing

well done gents
Thanks so much!
Wow, what a strategy game! Great playthrough!!
Thank you!

another fun video from you!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Ah we think the thematics come through as you play but perhaps it isn’t as overt as a lot of the others

Maybe it's also not as interesting, exciting, meaningful, or personal a theme.
Would you believe that Lacerda fired David Turczi from producing the solo modes?

Ranking against other Lacerda?
We’ve gotta play a few more before we can rank them I think :) still like Kanban EV best though
