That really is a crunchy one, thank you for showing it off. You really need to at some point do the scroll saga (or whatever it ends up being) for this series :) I also hope that once they've done their 4 cardinal direction trilogies they make a huge saga mode that crosses all the trilogies, that would be a great one to do as a challenge play, can you complete the full 4 part saga in one weekend.
Man, you guys are really going for it lately, playing a ton of games for the people. I appreciate that. Does it ever get easier to learn the rules of these things? In my experience it's always hell on earth, followed by a whole range of fun to not-fun. It must be especially challenging to be a board game channel. I'm looking forward to your Lisboa playthrough and honest thoughts. I've been trying to get The Gallerist to the table for a long time, along with Prodigals Club (your fault). We were supposed to play War of the Ring this last autumn and winter, and it didn't happen. We just ended up playing our favorites instead. I commend you for your dedication to this pastime.
It does get easier the more you play games, and the more games you learn. There is always some overlap between games and so as you play more games, you get used to seeing things again and again and it makes picking them up easier. Considering this is our job, we have to learn, multiple new games a week, and you just get good at it after a while
@@TheBrothersMurph Got it. Thanks. Might be a fun video subject for you at some point, talking about game rules and how to cope with them, how they can be more or less challenging, depending on various factors (complexity, developer, etc.). House rules is an interesting thing. Anyway, thank you. You guys rock. Keep it up.
Not doing kickstarters any more due to horrible shipping to where i live, but I will getting this in retail eventually. I like how the core mechanisms are there but all three games are very different overall.
While this again looks amazing I think I only got space for 1 south Tigris game and scholars is so amazing and theme is new. With Lacerda Invention of Ideas coming out literally now I think that’s my invention themed game for now
⭐️Hey Nick & Mike! ⭐️ I really hope you see my comment because I have a video request that I haven’t seen on your channel surprisingly! I’m a big fan, you guys a sort of a cult of personality for me lol I’d love to see a Top 10 (Preferably Top 20-25) CARD GAMES OF ALL TIME! 🎉 Whatever number you guys see fit is fine I’d really like a dedicated video to your opinions on Card Games (examples Point Salad, Scout etc) I’d love to see how you guys rank card games + honorable mentions? Thanks so much❤
Unlike Wayfarers (which primarily focuses on set collection), this one didn't click at all for me. No idea what you were trying to achieve, I could understand some of the mechanics (placing workers, bumping tracks, moving your boat up), but did not get a sense of the strategy/feel of the game.
We have known about "point-salad" games, now we see the regular emergence of the "mechanism-salad". Honestly, something is not right with this game. It might play very well, but the theme is off, the point-gathering is not really something to write home about, the whole game is basically 5-6 minigames as mechanisms tacked together.
That’s fair. We personally love mechanism salad games. We enjoy games that are big games essentially comprised of several mini games. For us the puzzle of managing and working all of the mechanisms is a blast
I get a vibe of the game that someone added water to The White Castle in its dehydrated and crunchy state to give the extra space people had been longer for. Along the way the inventors of the game created a more balanced automata for The White Castle. 🥷
The dry delivery of “horse powered eyeglasses” Is great
I can’t think of a more useful invention
Oh my. This looks absolutely incredible. I'm kinda stunned right now and I had high expectations to boot. I cannot wait!

I can’t wait for number 3!!!!
I love playing the series. Thanks guys
the Tigris games have been even better than I could've hoped. excited for this one !
Love watching you guys play this series!
I think that the Pythagorean cup is definitely a trick goblet
Been waiting for this one, the trilogy is complete, the saga is closer to end too.
Jeez, this looks like a step up from Scholars. Hope the next trilogy will be more medium levelled again.
Yeah I’m curious as to where the next trilogy will land
The next trilogy will set in the east and the games will probably be lighter.
Yeah I hope so too, I’m a bit burned out on these heavy ones and I rarely have gaming time these days to grok them 😅
@@TheBrothersMurph Western Kingdom was worker placement. South Tigris was dice. The next series will be... party games.
YESSSSSS!!! Thank you!
I’m excited for Inventors. Scholars and Wayfarers have been big hits at game night.
Small rules error @ 24:24: The charcoal die should have been rolled when moving it from the study to the ready area.
The hype is REAL!
Hypeeeee

@@TheBrothersMurph picking them up was a little hard. The real challenge was winning the solo games and getting it to fit on my table.
The game looks amazing 😍Not sure how I feel about having a dummy player at 2p though which is my main player count for heavy games
The dummy player is very minimal. Just blocks a couple places and competes for the guild majorities
I hope they do a “Tome Saga” type thing for this… I want a South Tigris night!
They will do it, but is going to come with the next KS that is going to bring an expansion for each game of the south.
and it is mentioned that it might be a legacy game....
They confirmed it in the FAQs for the campaign

Yeah it’s the same with the West Kingdom trilogy. They’re all very different

We haven’t done a card game list, we should!
Not sure this will displace Scholars as my favorite of the trilogy, but it does look interesting.
Watching 😊
First! Super excited about this one :)
Lucky!!!

Your table looks so deep to the point of seemingly uncomfortable.... It's like playing in a Grand Canyon ;) Sorry.
We actually agree, we don’t enjoy how deep the fault is
