It's our first time in Puebla City, Mexico and we're taking you along as we explore. During today's travel Mexico vlog, we are answering some frequently asked questions including:
What do we do in our daily life in Mexico?
How do we afford to travel in Mexico?
How do we make money while traveling?
How much money do we really make?
Why does Maddie do all the driving in Mexico?
What are our first impressions of Puebla City, Puebla?
How much does it cost in Puebla? (Is Puebla expensive?)
and more!
What do you think of today's daily life vlog in Mexico? Do you prefer this type of video or others where we go to events / nature spots / specific topics about Mexico? Let us know in the comments what you think!
So far, we are really enjoying Puebla Mexico! Well, Puebla Puebla to be specific. We are looking forward to exploring some nearby Pueblos Mágicos and see what life is like in this lovely city. Don't forget to subscribe to our channel to see our upcoming Mexico travel vlog about Cholula, Puebla!
ABOUT US (MADDIE & JORDAN)
In January 2018, we sold everything we owned in the US (except our husky Laska & what fit in our tiny, tangerine Prius C3) to travel the world-starting with Mexico. Since then, we've been making travel videos about our life in Mexico and the new experiences we encounter while traveling the world. If you'd like to join our shenanigans, subscribe to our UA-cam channel. You can also poke around our social media to find out what we’re up to each week.

My wise dad pointed out a few things that we never actually clarified in this video:
1. We get no financial support from our families and never have.
2. We have always lived a very frugal lifestyle and are savvy bargain shoppers... this allowed us to save some money prior to coming to Mexico.
3. When we first came to Mexico we lived solely off of our savings.
4. Now, after being in Mexico for approximately 10 months, our various income streams cover budget-conscious living/travel expenses.
5. When people sign up for Airbnb through our link, we get some Airbnb credit which helps us pay for places to stay. Although it's not technically an income source, it does help to significantly reduce our expenses.
And as a side note to the few who might be envious of what appears to be a nonstop vacationing lifestyle, we would like to point out to you that we spend between 30-40 hours of work (Filming, editing, driving, responding to comments/messages etc.) to make one 15-minute video. Typically we try to do at least two videos a week. This means we are working behind the scenes 60 to 80 hours worked per week. Some of this includes the 1-2 hours per day (seven days a week) answering questions and communicating with our subscribers/followers, aka Tangerineys. :) We love doing this! But collectively Jordan and I are working harder than we ever did at our full-time jobs back in the US.
THANK YOU to those of you who believe in us no matter what and thoroughly appreciate what we're doing for Mexico, fellow travelers, and awesome people such as yourself.
Great response darlin, keep doin what your doing.
I love your videos. You guys rock! I think you did an excellent job of explaining your situation. I also think that you never should have had to do that. That is personal. I bet that if you asked the same of the people who insist on an explanation, they would decline. I like these "day in the life of Maddie and jordan" videos! Keep up the good work.☺❤
Guys, you shouldn't justify yourselfs, what do we care about your income or lifestyle?
We care that you vlog in english so the rest of the world can see that México is not a third world country flooded with criminals and drugs.
If someone envy you, he's not a real sub and you don't need him. Real mexicans don't envy, we worker harder to get to the point we want to be.
You guys rock in the value you're bringing not only to opening up the world of Mexico to others but also helping us "seniors" see that retiring here is definitely doable! (I did it it!)
It's interesting to know how you manage to have that lifestyle, that many people, if not all, would like to have, living freely and not trapped in a daily job. You seem to have that kind of life. So I think that the majority of people, we are living a life that doesn't satisfy our expectations, just a few like you can, and from that large number of people that are not satisfied, just a few are bitterly envious of those few who enjoy life, I think that most of your viewers enjoy your videos without envy, we rather have aspirations for a better life. Where I am getting at is just a reflexion on how there are envious and rude people that were able to draw your attention a little, but hopefully, you shouldn't forget that most of the people watching you don't mind if you came from wealthy families or were privileged with a great and easy job, what matters is that your content is always positive, interesting and enjoyable, other youtubers don't provide quality content as you do, probably those youtubers that are toxic might deserve a more rude and raw criticism, but you are on the good side. In conclusion, you don't have to give further or detailed explanations of your personal financial information.
I am old enough to be your grandfather, but I love you guys. Jordan I am a fellow Minnesotan and so want out of the cold. I love your bravery for doing this by yourselves. All my out of country experience have been in groups. My whole life has been in IT, but I am amazed how your generation has harnessed the power of technology and social media. I really love your how-to videos. The one on getting a Mexican cellphone was great. More of these would be nice. For instance; I have never used Uber/Lyft in the U.S. and would be lost trying to do it in Mexico, but it seems really convenient. A how-to on that would be helpful. Lastly adding a summary at the end would be great for those of us who are clueless. Step 1, step 2, etc.. Again you kids are great!
yes please an Uber how-to would be quite handy
I had to leave Minnesota as soon as I got out of high school - I can't take those cold winters! Thanks for the recommendations and suggestions. We'll see if we can do a quick uber tutorial in an upcoming video.
Hey I am 62 and Uber is easy as can be! Just download the app on your cell phone. I used it the first time at fro airport to rental home. It is so cool! FYI you rate them but they also rate. Try to keep yourself at a good rating! Sorry to butt in to the conversation!
I use Lyft in Vegas. The taxis in Mexico are cheap.
Using uber is super easy: just dl the app & provide a funding source. everything is done via the app.
you guys are so down to earth! haters will always be haters! thank you for your videos!! love from Portugal
Thanks for the love, Isabel! Portugal, huh? We loved our time there in Lisbon a few years ago. The white wine is the best I've tried in the WORLD! :)
I have found such joy in watching your videos since the very first one. I so appreciate what you share with us. Watching you has just increased my love of the mexican culture and has given me hope that someday I will be able to travel to the areas of Mexico that you have traveled to and get the real vibe of Mexico.
That brought such a huge smile to our faces! We are so happy to hear that you're enjoying our videos so much. And we hope that SOON you'll be able to travel in Mexico as well. It's an amazing country!
Thanks for sharing your private lives and your life of exploration throughout Mexico. You two are so open and honest and I'm stunned that people what to know how much you make on your media work. You don't live a high life or beyond your means. Daily budgeting must be a challenge. If it was so easy, many more people would be doing this. Kudos to you, for taking the challenge and showing us the way!
Juanita you are so sweet! Thanks for recognizing the struggles we go through to make this all happen. It's really not a millionaire's glamorous lifestyle like some people think it is...although that would be nice! Maybe someday :) Thanks for watching our videos and being an awesome person. 😍
@@TangerineTravels I am a relatively new subscriber and really enjoy your bringing us along on the adventure. I completely agree on the acceptability of " how do you do it?" and the total rudeness of "how much do you make?" What would be of interest to many, I believe, would be some type of estimate of the cost of some of the "cost of living" variables, ie. rent, food, gas, etc. I realize that these will perhaps vary widely between villages and urban areas, coast vs. inland, etc., but still of some interest, even if presented in ranges. Just keep on sharing the ride please.
Tangerine travel.. Good job guys, you are very descriptive and honest, when talking about each city where you have been .. That's nice ..
Thanks for appreciating our honesty and efforts Jose! It's nice to know our work is recognized. :)
I recently found your channel and I’m loving it. I’m Mexican American and haven’t traveled a lot to Mexico but recently we’ve been making it over there. I’m loving all your tips, you both are very transparent and love your details and honesty. Thank you for all you do.
I love Mexico, there’s so many breathtaking and beautiful places to see ♥️
So, so true, Lizzie! What's your favorite place in Mexico?
I love you guys. I hope the nice and respectful comments/questions outnumber the rude/intrusive one. Have fun and enjoy your life in Mexico. Greetings from Canada.
We appreciate you guys.
Thank you, Rita! 🧡
Have to say that I am envious of your bravery and good fortune. I am also grateful for your experiences - ideas for when I go to Mexico. Thank you for sharing how you live the life! Have fun.
Hola, me and my wife Lucy recently started watching your videos about Mexico, it is so nice to hear and see all your adventures and always make us smile. We are from Tampico Tamaulipas and we live now in Tennessee. I go to my hometown once a year and i just haven't had the time to visit all those places where you make your stories. We will continue enjoy them and i hope one day you will have the time to visit the other coast of the country and share your experiences. Thank u Victor and Lucy.
I just saw this video and loved it, just like all the videos you guys put out. I think it's really nobody's business what you guys make. You work really hard so we can be entertained and informed by your videos, so whatever it is you guys earn, you are totally entitled to. I watch every single ad that is shown, so hope it helps you guys out. Stay safe and looking forward to more fun videos!!
Love watching you both and you have inspired me to go to Mexico more often. Last year I went twice, I miss being there and your videos help me a lot. I can’t wait to return to Mexico.
Mexico is so tempting! Awesome weather, awesome food, good cost of living! Hope we can go there one day!
And it also depends on what part of Mexico you’re in some areas are super cheap
@@carlost7695 True. But overall just seems to be a good package! =)
Such a great place to be :)
Tangerine Travels why would any American consider Hawaii when you see these prices, services, culture etc. marvellous videos all the best.
Caele a México
No te arrepentirás.
We're looking ahead to our upcoming travels and we think we're going to head to Veracruz (city) next. What part of the city should we look for an Airbnb?
I know it's not technically in Veracruz but we're considering Boca del Rio, is that area worthwhile?
Tangerine Travels Yes Boca Del Río is the richest and most developed city in Veracruz and in the southern area
I’d also suggest exploring the port of Veracruz you won’t regret it
Try, Cafe de la Parroquia Restaurant, and Volovanes with the street vendors. Also go to San Juan de Ulua.
My place of birth 😃! Yeah Boca del Rio is nice, from what I remember.
Love your channel. I am a new subscriber and orginally started watching because of my love for Vegas too. Now I watch all your videos. Thanks so much for sharing your lives with us!
I recently subscribed. I love all your videos. So informative. I have a totally different and positive view of Mexico since I have been watching your videos. Thanks for all your hard work and for sharing, especially the real life in Mexico
In college I majored in Spanish because I love the language, I love Mexico and have attempted to constantly improve my Spanish over the years. I must say, you guys are doing VERY well learning and speaking Spanish, and I’m very impressed! Your channel is so interesting and fun to watch too!
Puebla is beautiful I love what you guys do keep it up thank you
I found your channel while searching for Guadalajara videos after we got 30" of snow in 48 hours. Your videos help me forget about this crazy weather and are very enjoyable. I subscribed and am looking forward to watching them through the winter.
Thanks for subscribing to our channel GK! Sorry you're dealing with so much snow and cold. After living in AZ my whole life, I honestly can't imagine a few months of that. Hope you continue to enjoy our videos... whether it's a good or bad thing, we're going to be on the beach for a few months in our upcoming videos. :)
I don’t skip adds, hope that helps a little. 👍
It totally does! Thank you for that :)
@@TangerineTravels I didn't know not skipping ads helped!!! I won't skip them anymore
I'll stop skipping adds
That or paying for UA-cam Red also helps.
@Santa Claus at the very least your giving channels good video retention and lots of watch time. That _definitely_ helps a channel...As long as UA-cam doesn’t sniff out any funny business
You guys are awesome, loves the vids and the wonderful commentary. My bucket list has grown. I have always wondered how you guys funded your awesome adventures but would never in a million years ask, thank you for answering such a personal and invasive question. You two are living the dream, rock on
I really enjoy seeing video of a normal day. It's shows off the community you're in, in a different way.
Thanks for the feedback Viv! We personally like this style mixed into our normal routine too. :)
actually i dont care, your videos are awesome, and you guys are changing the way people see my country for the positive, I wish you all the abundance of the World
Thank you so much Oscar! We hope our videos do a good service for Mexico...it's a great country with incredible people and foreigners/citizens alike should know that!
I see you two for who you are and I love it! You are frugal and learning to be excellent travellers. Please disregard the idiots who want to rain on your parade. Keep the parade movin'! Peace.
Love your videos. Keep it up. And you're right, its no one's business how you afford to travel. I'm just happy you share your adventures!
Thanks for respecting our privacy Yvette! We understand that people can be curious and heck, some people might want to do this themselves. We're happy to share most of it! :)
You two have just gained another subscriber. I enjoy your videos , keep up the good work. You two have the right to your privacy, it is rude to ask someone how much money they make.
Keep sharing, I travel to Mexico a few times per year and your information has helped with my travels.
Me and my family are heading out to Cancun in Mexico from England in December and have you’re videos invaluable. Thanks a lot and I hope you get to stay there as long as you want to.
This is my first comment to your video or anyone else's for that matter - but you asked. I think you are doing a great job of sharing your adventures in Mexico and I really appreciate and enjoy all of them. My travels in Mexico have been limited to Ajijic several times - which I am in love with, and then my wife and I lived in San Carlos, Sonora, for five months in the winter way back in 2008-2009. You have already shown us so many new places to see and I have learned a lot. Thank you very much for what you do. I love your positive attitude and genuinely friendly way of sharing what you are doing with the rest of us. Can't wait for more! Don
Thank you for such a sweet comment Don! That really means a lot to us. We try to tuck these away for those bad days when we're feeling like giving up on UA-cam! :) We hope you and your wife get to do much more traveling through Mexico. Ajijic is an incredible spot and we can see why everyone is charmed by it. But there are soooo many other fantastic places in Mexico too! Now we can hardly choose where to go next lol.
You guys are doing the right thing, you are young and are enjoying life rather than focusing your lives on material things. Good for you and keep up your enjoyment of Living.
Wow..its so pretty there!! Love the colors!!!
Really enjoyed this video especially the background on your daily life. I think most of your viewers are wondering how you are able to support your travels more so than exactly how much money you actually make. I would love to do what you do but have no real idea of your means to support your efforts. Anyway......keep the videos coming. I am learning a lot about our neighbors down south and appreciating them more each day. Take care!
Yep, the "how we make money" question is much more common than the "how much" question and we don't think that's a rude thing to ask. Heck, if we weren't doing this ourselves, we'd be super curious about that too! Thanks for watching, amigo!
@@TangerineTravels Because of this video, and watching at least 2 dozen of your videos so far, i'm becoming a Patreon supporter. Not because I think you have any reason or requirement to tell how much you are making, I don't. Or that you are or are not making tons, I don't care, in fact I hope you are or will be. But because you are open enough to share anyway. This has got to be a full time job for both of you. I hope you get to the point you are making the foreign equivalent of 100k each at least. In the mean time you are having an incredible time and life and must be making enough to live and fly all over the world. I love that you get excitement about new cultures. We are so isolated from global culture in the U.S. and we miss so much yet we think we are the best. (we does not include me by the way). And I just clicked on a link you posted about Money that was so spot on I could not believe it came from such youth (ok i'm old, 68). You guys so get it. My heartfelt warmth and love from Scottsdale AZ, we (wife and I) will be spending more time in Mexico soon.
Thank you for sharing all your trips experiences . Is really. Helpfull for all the people that want to travel to Mexico.you guy s are doing a awesome job. Thank you. I really love what you are doing
I appreciate your videos. I think it spreads peace and understanding to us that don't know about other places and people. Plus get the courage of following our dreams but dont know how to begin.
I genuinely enjoy all your videos, I came across your channel a couple days ago and I’ve spent a lot of my time watching your videos. I can tell right away both of you are great people, and you’ve gained another subscriber/supporter. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, don’t let others bring you down with their negativity. You’re both doing such an amazing job!
I liked this format. It's very interesting to just see an average day, in each place, as many folks are looking for somewhere to retire. Also loved the way you handled the "how do you make a living" question. Really glad I found your awesome channel!
If you guys are around here again, check out the restaurant "Cuetzalan mio", it is delicious typical Puebla food for breakfast and lunch. Is right behind you on minute 7:00 of the video, just crossing the street from "la estrella".
Just discovered your videos recently. Was looking because my husband is currently living in Mexico, following an interest he just "had to" pan out, so I'm curious about finding out whatever I can with living in Mexico, and trying to give him helpful info when we talk on the phone. But my point in commenting is, I just wanted to say that you guys are the SWEETEST couple! I've stopped bothering with looking at other people's videos on Mexico, because they just aren't the same quality as yours, or nearly as enjoyable to watch. Love you Tangerinees!
It’s obvious that you two love what you are doing and work hard to produce great and informative videos! I love seeing your daily routines and is the reason that I am subscribed. Thank you for keeping us informed on the costs of Mexico and of course I love the fact that this channel is successful and providing an income. (This allows sustainability!)! Keep up the good work, be safe and happy travels!
I'm from Guatemala and planning to move to Mexico soon, your channel is so far my main guide to plan my trip. Thanks a lot for your videos guys, you're really great.
I believe a lot of people are amazed at how you manage to do this and forget how intrusive the question is, and since you are youtubers you are kind of public figures, any way you answers a question I had but never asked :) and is great, glad you can do this and hope your Chanel grows bigger so you can afford longer travels.
You walked right infront of "la Pasita" in Los sapos... You should go there (and come back to Los sapos on weekend)
Someone else recommended that place too. It looks awesome with all the mixed shots! What happens at Los Sapos on the weekend? :)
@@TangerineTravels well on weekdays there are not all the Antiques, artists and stuff... Is just another empty plaza. But on weekends the place (and some others nearby like Analco and 4 sur street) come alive.
this is great, i just stumbles across your videos and i think it's really brave of you guys to just pack up everything and travel around mexico!
Thanks Em! It was a pretty scary decision to make, but we're so glad we did. Now, sometimes we just wish we did it sooner :)
Very nice video !
Very well explain all details about the city !
Have fun in Mexico Muchachos !
Gracias por visitar Mexico
I absolutely love this channel. Love you guys. Thanks for bringing us along for the travel.
Thanks so much Laura! :)
I love your videos and have learned so much from you two. I am from Canada and am moving to Mexico in the next 2 years with my family. I find your videos a great resource in planning that trip. I wondered how people are able to fund these lifestyles but I would have NEVER thought to ask outright...OMG! But thank you for sharing, it was very helpful.
After Puebla, we want to head toward Mérida. Where should we stop on the way?
Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas
Once you get there, go to San Cristobal de Las Casas, Las Lagunas de Montebello, el cañón del sumidero, cascadas de agua azul
Merida is just 1 hour 23 minutes from Chichen itza. On of the 7 wonder in the word🙂😉
Campeche is really close to Merida you should visit
You havent been to México city? You need to experience the chaos.
Hello from Nova Scotia, Canada!!
Absolutely love you guys.
Found your videos a week ago, and I've been fully addicted since.
Me and my wife are going to be visiting Mexico this November.
We're thinking of spending some time in Guadalajara and then flying to Q.Roo and looking around there!
Thanks for the inspiration, and keep on keeping on!
I love you guys. Always so down to earth. After I graduate from Portland state, my plan is to move to Mexico and find work, my mom is from Guadalajara so it only feels natural to go.
Your videos are well edited and interesting. I like that you walk the streets while you talk instead of just sitting. I think that must be difficult, but you make it look easy. I know you must spend so much time planning, filming, editing, and all the things needed for the videos. Thank you!
Another Great video....!
Thanks for giving us another look into your life
and providing some details which were none of
our business...!
Hey thanks, informative. Food for thought. I like some daily life blogs, like the laundry info. Things I would not know about until I got there.
You guys work hard, that is apparent! Glad you are being fairly compensated! We enjoy your videos.
guys, my opinion.... you don't owe us ANYTHING. we appreciate the information you share, we hope you are well, stay well, and have fun doing it. thanks for all you do!
Ok, but what about Laska?... is she loaded? Why was this not addressed in the video?? What are you guys hiding!?
BUSTED! 😂😂lmao
Featured here to spread the giggles: twitter.com/TangerineTravls
I hope you're joking, if not that is the stupidest question I have heard in a long time.
Laska’s clearly the breadwinner 🤣
That was classic! Lol
I love your videos. Good luck in all your endeavors!
Thanks for making these videos and helping others to travel. Showing that even Frugal people can enjoy a vacation, especially in Mexico.
I love your daily life videos. I mean, the exotic travels are cool, too, but these feel warm and jovial. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the feedback Jonno! We love a good trip here and there but it can get exhausting really quickly. It's nice to have a good mixture of low-key daily life stuff and those exotic travels :)
All I care about is the awesome videos you guys shoot and the amazing travel tips!
Hi Guys, I love your videos. I'm moving to San Pancho in a year. I like seeing the day to day stuff that happens, and all the info you give out. Peace and Happy Travels. Steve
Thanks for sharing your adventures, I have been to Mexico several times, but not to all the places you have been. I learned along time ago not to worry about how much other's make because I can't spend it anyway. I really enjoy your channel, thanks for the adventure Cheers Scott
Huge respect for your transparency, not even needed, but you two are cool for doing that.
Thanks for appreciating our transparency Ed! We think that's the best policy :)
I live in Phoenix but went to school in Puebla.
Visit the Restaurant Mil Aromas and ask for Fernando for a welcome to Puebla meal.
On minute 9:45 you walked by a mural from my friend Juan Carlos
Thank you for this info! Bless y’all and keep it up!
Looks like Palenque, Campeche, Uxmal and Park
Parque Natural Petenes - Ría Celestún are all on the way!
Nice job guys, I really enjoyed this.
I sent you just a little something to PayPal about a month ago! I appreciate and enjoy your videos!
Very interesting. thanks for sharing. Don't listen to the haters. Keep living the dream!
You both are the best. You don't owe anyone an explanation of your income. Beautiful, inspiring, generous and much more. I'm so happy for you both being able to live your best life.
Hi - thanks so much for all the great info! I LOVE your channel. I’ve spend a bunch of time down in the PDC area and hope to make a move down there soon. I wanted to check out the Spanish Lang link but it’s not working.... sent a little love your way too! Cheers from a blizzard in Boulder, CO!
Great video, great information! I visited Puebla a couple years ago and loved the city - the churches, the museums, La Pasita Bar, and nearby Cholula! I toke a ride on the giant ferris wheel - very cool as well!
You passed a bright yellow building on a corner, called La Pasita. You should Definitely try it!!! Soooo good.
#GongThatBell ! Good morning guys! Happy Saturday! Greetings From the cold Minnesota ❄⛄
You guys are so likeable. I feel like I'm with you watching your videos. Thank you
Hola. Bienvenidos a mi ciudad. Me agradaron mucho realmente, por sus valores. A partir de ahora los sigo. Espero se diviertan, disfruten de Puebla y México. Sean felices.
We love your channel - keep up the good work! My husband and I have been toying with the idea of one day retiring in Mexico, and we really appreciate your information-packed videos. We hope to get down again soon and check out some of the places you've shown that we haven't been to before :)
I’m a PayPal supporter!!!! This a cheap way for me to travel love it! No packing, no unpacking.... lol
Thank you for that! Laska treats joking aside, it really does go a long way to helping us continue to showcase new cities, food, culture, etc. And so true... you are sparing yourself the heavy lifting of all these clunky bags haha :)
You guys hustle as career travelers - love it!. Stay awesome and keep the daily life vlogs coming. How about what you do when traveling with your doggie? Any shots or special papers needed?
Regarding the questions people were asking, three of my favorite UA-cam videos that I watch every day are yours (traveling all around Mexico), Sailing La Vagabonded (sailing all over the world in their catamaran), and Matt Guthmiller (flying all over in his six-seater airplane) all receive pretty much the same types of questions and in all cases the videos present a life of seemingly unlimited travel and freedom. I think if people watch and absorb these videos enough, they will find out that if they have the same type of dreams and are able to focus on making that happen and also being willing to make some sacrifices, these dreams are all doable. Having video and editing skills is a must, of course, if people want to communicate and share with others their experiences. Nobody is going to be making money from UA-cam videos if their videos aren't exciting, informative, and entertaining, and I helps a lot to have appealing presenters, as all of my three favorite channels definitely do!.
I think yours is performing a real service, because the impression I think most of us have regarding Mexico these days is that it is a dangerous pit of crime and gangland torture and murders. While I, myself had vagabonded all around Mexico in the mid-1980s, I recently figured I would net set foot there ever again--way too dangerous!. But your videos have shown a completely different picture of current Mexico and I believe that yours is the the truth instead of the bad rumors. Not only do you make me wanted to go back there to explore some more, but I could even contemplate LIVING there (gasp), except I do fear that I might feel rather lonely and even claustrophobic just because of the language issue. (Yes, I could learn Spanish, but....) It's funny, when I was there before, I didn't want to see or HEAR an American, but now I wouldn't want to live there if I couldn't find a community of at least English speakers. Actually, my favorite people to run into when traveling elsewhere in the world are those from Australia, New Zealand, the UK, South Africa, and so on...English speakers, but those who come from elsewhere in the world. Lately, though, I come to see that there is a breed of American that are as much "native" as the "natives", such as those on the three channels that I mentioned. And that is a good thing!
Thank you for the good videos, and keep up the good work.
Thanks so much George!
I think there is huge value by your videos. I would like to visit many of the places you have allowed us to see thru your eyes. Thanks for showing Mexico is an honest and truthful way. 😄❤️.
I would pay you guys just for advice!!! You guys are awesome...
Guys go to Cholula is cheaper than been in Puebla, the San Pedro Cholula downtown is great to walk around, search for UDLAP and you will found it easier and also at nigth on weekends there are a lot of bars and nigthclubs to enjoy
In Mexico is kind of rude to ask about the income to someone you barely know, you need to be real close to someone to ask that, even so, i never do it , it’s just not my business
Thanks for letting us know about this aspect of Mexican culture! We weren't totally sure if this was more of a common thing here and that's why people feel okay asking us.
Yes, in Mexico if you want to know that information you said a long super nice phrase like "If you don't bother and I don't want to be intrusive, could you give me a hint on how much money are you making?" or something like that. My brother for example never told me that info. And I never asked.
Of course it’s rude to ask, but some people have no tact or shame in asking such personal questions, especially being anonymous on the internet. Kudos for addressing them and more so for answering them. I would be annoyed. 😒
In fact one difference between the cultures of The US and Mexico is that in The US one of the first things people ask when they meet you is "What do you do?" As in "for a living". This is rare in Mexico with a person you barely know. When you are good friends it's different. But if you work in Oxxo making Mexican minimum wage you might not want to announce that to the world.
Ohh yes In Mexico for personal questions like how much money do you make , most of the time you dont ask, even with family or friends, you have to be really really close to the people, it's rude people get mad, they think like: why you ask me that?, mind your own business!
Mexico City was difficult to drive and sometimes you end up going the wrong way or cannot find a way to turn RH onto another busy street, because they don't have transitions or ramps - you have to know where to go back into the neighborhood to get down on the other route.
These are my favorite types of videos and the reason why I started following you guys!❤
Also I pay $20 a week for laundry and I do it all myself. The $20 is for use of the machines ONLY! Don't even get me started with rent lol
Enjoying your vlogs. Do you have a website where you have a reader's digest of best stops, cafe's, etc.
Hello TT! New subscriber who is really enjoying your vids, stories and honest approach to your travels. Enjoyed this ‘day in the life’ episode. Keep me coming!! Eyes open, be safe.
Thanks for this info guys! I have always wondered because I wish me and mine could do the same - just pack up and move somewhere out of the U.S. Your honesty is appreciated by me for sure...and I just subscribed. Love your vids - thank you for sharing your experiences!
Thanks Roxanne! We did it without much of a plan of how we were going to make a living. We had a few months worth of savings, hit the road, and started the UA-cam grind. Now, we just wish we did it sooner! And thank you for subscribing! If you'd like to see our Mexico story from the beginning, you can easily see the videos in order with this playlist: ua-cam.com/video/3EvA2FFbaI0/v-deo.html
You guys are great! I'm a Mexican borne in the city of Aguascalientes, I've heard a lot of bad stories about shootouts and violence, but you guys are showing a different reality, I am glad.
Guys, thank you for well edited and helpful info filled videos.
While in Puebla, don't forget to visit Cholula and taking the pyramid tour, is really amazing. Another must will be Atlixco, a beautiful Pueblo Mágico near by.
On your way to Merida, very close to Puebla, stop at Val' quirico and Hacienda Chautla, two gorgeous Instagram dream sites, trust me.
Keep on the good work.
Best of luck.
Thanks for the great suggestions Cava! We went to Cholula yesterday but unfortunately had to turn right back around because I (Maddie) wasn't feeling good. We plan to go back on Monday hopefully! Atlixco seems beautiful as well. We noticed Viajefest is/was there recently! :D
I really like your material and/or presentation great delivery and detail.
Hi👋🏼 I am a Mexican-American and currently living in Mexico. You guys are awesome, never be discouraged by negative comments, people can be so envious. I appreciate so much your sincere comments about life in Mexico. Keep up the good work, I will be moving back to Phoenix in a couple of months, I hope I can meet you somewhere here in Mexico or in Phoenix.
Looks like a dream, I honestly really appreciate your work and the fact that we have this free information on you tube to learn before we go to mexico there’s so much to do there and you provide us everything from safety to how not to get scammed to how beautiful it is and how to feel comfortable and put the rumors aside. I think you’re under pay tour guides and concierges charge a lot just to provide this information

Love your no B.S. views. I kinda wish you wouldn't tell people how wonderful Mexico really is. :D Lifestyle is so much more laid back and cheaper. The people we have met in our travels to Mexico have always been pleasant and helpful as well. Love the videos and look forward to hearing the bell to tell me you have a new one!
Again I’m a huge fan! I like this style of blog/video also because it’s real unscripted transparent and genuine! Honestly, I am learning so much about the utube process and working traveling business model through you guys! Your chemistry is magical and Alaska is awesome. I hope our paths cross in the future 👍😎
