      @@delosangeles_2361. If you haven’t been to Mexico yet, your concern doesn’t apply to ANY of Mexico. I’m just an old white guy that can’t speak Spanish and everybody in Mexico will be super nice to you. Even though they would ever show it, if your from the US, they probably would be more racist because of that, not because your black. But then again, they would never show it.
      I’ve been bouncing around the state of Oaxaca for 3 months, then came to Puebla city 2 days ago. I feel I hit the jack pot! This beats anything I’ve seen yet. I’m not a city person. But this doesn’t feel like a big city!

      I’m here in Puebla (Feb, 2024) I drove down to Mexico 3 months ago from Maine. I did what most tourist do, and started hitting the places that people talk about a lot, like Oaxaca city. Almost every place I went to, I was disappointed because their almost impossible to drive in, no place to park, and couldn’t get out of them fast enough.
      But then I came to Puebla. I’ve only been here 2 days, but I feel I hit the jackpot. This city is large, but doesn’t feel big. There’s just a lot if it. Driving here is much easier. The streets are wide, and the traffic is controlled by traffic lights, and not speed bumps (Topes) every block. I will definitely be spending 2-3 weeks here maybe more. I’m retired and plan on heading back home in April. You picked a good destination!
      Excellent video by the way!

    Amazing review. I was born in Puebla and I love this city. There are not 365 churches in Puebla, there are 365 chapels in Cholula, a church can have a few chapels, that’s why you can’t find 365 churches. My favourite place in Puebla is the underground tunnels that were open to the public recently (discovered in 2015), but they are more than 500 years old and about 10km in length, they are the reason the troops of France were defeated in the famous battle of 5 de Mayo.

    • @James_Edward59
      @James_Edward59 2 роки тому

      That 365 churches in Puebla is definitely a weird myth or legend, my girlfriend’s family is from Cholula and even they thought it was true just because it’s such a common myth. There isn’t 365 chapels either in Cholula though.

Personally, the places that have a lot of expats, I didn’t like them, because of the expats. I went to a little town (San Jose del Pacifico) up in the mountains. I spent 4 days there. Major tourist area for a town of 700. Honestly? The people that I assumed were Americans, embarrassed me. I left and came to Puebla. I’ve only been here for 2 days, but I feel I finally hit the jackpot. Yes, there’s a few tourist. But luckily it’s not over run by them.

      No. Actually it's 288 Cathedrals not 365 Cathedrals. There are way more churches. Because there are more religious institutions that are considered churches or temples etc I'm just goin on the little historic info I remember
