    1) I love that you can hear a distorted, distant-sounding variation of Mayday's leitmotif when Crosshair is taken to the interrogation room, and when he finds a console to send out his warning.
    2) It's peculiar to me that Tarkin - and Sid, in previous episodes - has a coloured hologram. I'm so used to seeing them as only blue or only red. I thought that Snoke's hologram in _The Force Awakens_ was a sign that hologram technology had advanced, but clearly that's been a thing for decades.

    • @kenle2
      @kenle2 Рік тому +9

      It's kind of confusing.
      Takin was planetary Governor of the industrial Outer Rim World of Eriadu. But when the Clone Wars began, because of his previous combat experience in a defense fleet he became a Navy officer, going from Captain to Admiral as one of the Supreme Chancellor's "favored ones".
      Then he was named "Moff", which designated the an official as "Governor" of an entire sector instead of a particular system.
      AND THEN ... the designation of Grand Moff was created, as "Governor" of an Oversector, which combined several sectors that the Empire thought were needing "special attention" into one political unit.
      So Tarkin was essentially wearing three different administrative "hats", which each were technically designated "Governor".

The Summit will be Tech hacking to find the Doctor's itinerary and they crash the summit to either put a tracker or sneak onto the Doctor's shuttle to find Mt Tantis, hopefully we get to see the meeting so we can get Imperial mission names. Then Plan 99 will be them attempting to rescue Crosshair.

    Something worth noting in the rescue of Howzer and his men was that the ship Echo, Gregor, Fireball and Nemec were using to board the Gozanti was the same model of starship Sidon Ithano was using as the Meson Martinet almost four decades later.
    The leech ship also fits the pirate style of boarding and raiding merchant starships, as well as creating a boarding entry while the ship is 'docked' to distract the onboard sentries and make them assume they are entering the raided ship from the docked ring.

    I love this episode but I have 2 nitpicks. After stunning the clone commando on the Gozanti they just left him. The whole thing was a rescue of 3 rogue clones, so why didn't they take the commando with them and get his chip removed? Also, why are they stunning the TK troopers? I get why they stun fellow clones but they shouldn't care about their replacements.

    • @kivimik
      @kivimik Рік тому

      Maybe they just decided on a more nonlethal approach because they don't necessarily blame the TK troopers? Or perhaps erring on the side of caution that they don't kill any of their own. As for not, um, "liberating" (aka kidnapping) the clone commando for his own good, he may not be willing enough to help them after he recovers. Why take the chance of someone revealing your operation?

      I don’t see that Gregor or howzer or others didn’t remove there poison chip yet and wofflee didn’t appear yet and not even sinker or boost and I hate echo still doesn’t want to kill human troopers ah I mean stormtrooper yet at least crosshairs did kill the human troopers ah I mean tk troopers

      They don’t want to come across as terrorists, likely.
      Also, removing the chip won’t automatically make the clone not loyal to the empire. It just cuts off all the Order 66 triggers like killing a Jedi and anyone who disobeys the order/aides a Jedi.

    I like the details of the show naval shift, they only use v-wings, ships deploy from venators out of the bottom like an ISD, and the gozanti has now become the defacto frigate of the empire (i like how it’s more based on mando than its rebels design)

    I thought it was cool that the 2 clones that help rescued Howzer and the 2 brothers had 41st legion green marking and one of them is call Nemec (almost like a nod to Nemek from Andor). I feel like after Crosshair see the empire for what it is, he changed his mind about being a soldier for empire. Had he not part take that mission with Mayday, he may have jump on the chance to be part of next experimental trooper. I do really want to know what the thoughts are of the Clone Commando not saying anything about their clone brothers been so poorly treated. Emory is going to be interesting one because it does looks like she wants to work for Empire but not as cold hearted as Hemlock. I will said thou, Scorch is still out there so we might see Delta faceoff against Batch next week.

    I wondered if Crosshair's missing shots was due to him being drugged/tortured or if it was suppose to show the faultiness of the weapons the empire is suppling to ST. Maybe they never hit their target because the empire supplied them with a bunch of cheap or defective weapons.

    We had some great ship content this episode; love Imperial era Gozantis, and Echo's transport ship is such a neat design that it was an instant favorite even before we saw details like the leech pod!
    Emerie is an interesting character. As others have said, she seems like she's probably another clone. The accent, the skin tone, the eye colour, she's even the same height as the other adult clones. At this point, I would be astonished if she's _not_ a clone. Very interested to see where they go with this.

It's like when Mas Ameda was talking to Rampart it's like those who really know Palpatine truly know that the empier IS Palpatine.

    Could there be any correlation between Plan 99 & Order 99?
    According to Wookieepedia (the one truth);
    Order 99 was a directive for the Separatist Droid Army during the Clone Wars. It was issued during a battle on the planet Bogoa to the B1-Series battle droid Coppertop by Count Dooku, on the orders of Darth Sidious, who sought to test the battle droid's ability to change allegiances as a precursor to the Grand Army of the Republic's own Order 66.
    Perhaps Crosshair was trying to communicate (to his brothers) that he has switched allegiances to help protect Omega.

    It was unsettling to see an Imperial Officer use the shock tooth this early in the timeline. It made sense for a "blank" clone assassin, and in the Mandalorian when only the most fanatically loyal Imperials are still fighting, but to see that kind of behavior in someone that was presumably fighting for the Republic so recently was scary.

    Tantiss and Hemlock's offer has definite vibes of 'The Prisoner' (Patrick McGoohan) and the Village. This summit, on the other hand, stinks of the Nazi Wannsee Conference - the one which set up the 'Final Solution'. Don't know if he'll survive, but I can imagine Cid having to deal with Crosshair.

    What if the "The Summit" is a nod to the Wannsee Conference that the Nazi's held to discuss the implementation of the Final Solution except in this case it is the to discuss the extermination of the clones thus leading to Operation 99. Op 99 can go either way. An Empire operation to end the clones or Clone Force operation to save the clones once they find out about the Empires plan. Setting up Season 3.
