Why should they remove helmet holes? I loved adding accessories to my clones when I was a kid back in early 2010’s, also including extra helmets without the holes would just make them more expensive

Endor rebel troops and scout troopers
Oh that is such a good idea. The Rebel trooper is one of my favorite looks and the Rebel trooper Scout Speeder is my favorite battle pack build of all time. Throw in an OG style dark trooper and three stormtroopers with a mini imperial drop ship like the old battlepack and you have the best combo battlepack of all time

Personally I would bump it up to a 9/10. I know the helmet holes is divisive but I perfectly fine with them. The clone builds could have definitely use some touch ups. Really happy with how the Separatists look, finally get some great representation after being overshadowed by clones in recent years.
I am fine with the helmet holes if only they include accessories for them in the set 😡
I’m sure we’ll get alt builds within a few days of release. I’m already brainstorming a command center type build.
I’d give it an 8, the clone builds are severely lacking and the helmet holes have no reason to be here and ruin the look of the clones
idk, with how bad the clone builds are its kinda hard to give this one a 9. definitely atleast an 8 in my book, maybe that will change when i actually get the set in hand

The indent in the super battle droid would be really easy to paint. If you take a sewing needle and dip it in red paint, you could just dab it on the indent and leave a perfect red dot. It's how I do small details on minifigures
This is like, the perfect Battle Pack imo. You have balanced minifigure's between Clones and Droids, and then equivalent builds on each side with two speeders, a baracade for the Clones, and a updated Tri-Droid.
As someone who actually likes army building Battle Droids more than Clones, this set is an absolute win for me.

This BP is great! The speeder is mid and so is the barricade but the droid side is great. Although I do wish that instead of B1 droids we would get 2 BX Commando Droids.
A droideka would make it an 11/10 for me but that's probably asking too much
instead of one of the super battle droids would be better, B1s are better in larger numbers
I’m gonna say it. I like the helmet holes. I want the option to add accessories to my minifigures if I please. These are toys for children and children often want to play around and experiment with what they have available to them and more customizability is perfect for this.
I wish they came with accessories tho

Helmet holes are good, helmet holes in the wrong spot are bad. That's all. Phase 1 clones worked perfectly because the holes were placed correctly. These helmets look a little funky from the front because there was originally a bump to match the shape of the helmet, then they added the holes on top so that the visors line up. I just wish they made a new design for the helmets so that the holes can be in the right spot for the accesories, and not change how the helmet looks without accesories.
I think they should use both helmets- regular clones can have no holes, but specialists who will have visors or rangefinders should.
Holes are good, placement is not. My ideal scenario? Make the holes lower, and add a new visor part that would fit these new holes.
I’m going to cry, this is just beautiful, a work an art, a gift from God. I still have all of my original clones from the first battle pack. This is truly amazing, thank you so much, Lego.
Honestly, the parts for the clone speeder and clone turret look like they should be making one build. Really weird that the speeder bike looks so incomplete, especially since the speeders are my favorite part about any LEGO Star wars set

Couldn’t agree more with the thoughts on the speeder! It immediately made me think of the wonky speeders I built with random parts as a kid instead of a build designed by Lego.
I will most likely buy 3 when they come out and buy more as time goes by. I'm in LOVE with this set. Amazing for army building

It seems the helmet holes unfortunately were placed in the "best" possible spot. I've tested putting holes lower, which does look better, but the visor doesn't fit right. LEGO would have had to have made a new visor mold, or redo the 2020 style helmet completely. I guess they went with the "best" solution, only the best is good enough lol. I don't love the look, and at the same time I don't hate it enough to not army build with them :)
they shouldve just put the bump where the hole is. For range finders, its a more accurate spot for 2020 style anyways

@@Shorjok because your comparing two things here, 1 is make a new helmet mold with the holes slightly off the perfect placement, and the other is make a new helmet mold and then remold the accessories to match, one is objectively more expensive and harder to do, and it's not the one they did
The Super Battle Droids look awesome. This is definitely a great set and I plan to max out the amount I can buy on my first order. I will have to check out Kohls to see if they have these early too. Great review.

I genuinely appreciate this review, I appreciate the quick mention of the helmet holes but leaving it up to people's preference. I think the debate on them is tired and people are already entrenched in whatever opinion they have. This video is just a good review of the set as a whole.
I like the helmet holes. I love em. Theyre great. I can stick sun visors and goggles and range finders and stuff on all my custom clones now.

They’ve been lingering here and there in certain sets. Think about the TIE bomber, which used flick fire missiles for the bomb dropping feature
Slave I Microfighter and tie bomber had them i'm pretty sure
Someone else mentioned it but they should do one with Rebels and Stormtroopers. 3 blue shirt Rebels and 1 red shirt Rebel. 1 2005 og style dark trooper and 3 stormtroopers. Throw in the Rebel speeder (which's my favorite battle pack build of all time by far) and the battlepack version imperial dropship and you've got the perfect battlepack set
A clone variety battlepack would be cool too

Personally, I don’t like the look of helmet holes, I think they look ugly but I’m starting to lose my ability to care honestly. However, if they are gonna have the holes why are LITERALLY no accessories included? Not even the brand new micro binoculars piece. If you’re gonna have the holes give us something to fill them with.
This is the best and most fair value lego Star Wars set I’ve seen on a long time 3 super battle droids ! 10/10
B2s lookin so crispy, glad to see another review before LAN. Speeder is rough but value is great. If they give us helmet holes at least give us the shitty micro binoculars to plug them up smh. Heater set though 🔥🔥🔥
I actually bought the Gunship & this Battle Pack together with the intention of fitting the speeder & turret into the gunship. Removing the stud shooters on the sides of the speeder bike & replacing them with a black 1x2 & a square burgundy tile allows you to slide the bike in from the rear door, it even will stick in place on top of the studs in the center of the troop compartment. I just kinda finagled the turret & grenade box into the front compartment, it works for me & fills the void of having nothing to put in those spots
A cool battle pack, one of the best in recent times. The minifigures are cool, especially 3 regular clones of the second phase, they haven't been around for a long time and 1 appearance of B2 in the last 8 years, we haven't seen them for a long time. As for the buildings, I didn't really like the speeder, the octaptar droid turned out well

The tri-droid is actually minifigure scale because there is a large and a small variant in-universe. So for the small one its minifigure scale

I like the helmet holes. People have been asking for helmet holes on the phase twos for years. We finally got them and people are complaining, “Oh no, they’re an inch higher than they should.” I’m glad they added them. The only complaint I have with them is that the rangefinders fall off too easily. Anyone else agree?
For me its the opposite, every accessory sits really tight and it's hard to move them up and down.

It's nice to see Lego actually doing what fans want. Just not with the amount of quality is needed. Plus I can't believe that they didn't include visors or accessories for the clones, even though they have helmet warts. This is a 8.5/10 in my book. I'm definitely going to be buying multiple and replacing them with the GCC helmets for my clone army.
10/10! I love the figs, i love all the builds. Everything is so simple and beautiful. It just feels like an old Lego set from 2005 modernized ❤

You know, I used to be completely turned off by the way Lego decided to execute the helmet holes for these new clones. But honestly, if you really look into it, there’s no way to fix the way they look on the sides of the helmets. If you get rid of the bump on the side of the helmet and put the hole in place of where the bump is, yes it’ll look better, but the visor attachment won’t line up. Maybe there’s another way of making it look better that I’m not thinking of, but I personally think they look overall ok the way they are and is a fine compromise. Obviously people like Ryan say that “oh just don’t put the holes on troopers that don’t need them” (which is fine, everyone has their own opinion), which I do agree, to an extent. I personally, want Lego to put helmet holes on all troopers, they’ve always put helmet holes on clone troopers for customization, which I’ve absolutely always loved.
The speeder build is pretty atrocious but face it we’re not buying the set for that….i guess? Solid set though no matter where you stand on the helmet holes issue.

The 2008 Clone Wars clones had helmet holes. But they were in the right place; The circular spots on the side of the helmets. That allowed accessory customization without adding an extra set of bumps on the helmet. If they could just put them in the right place it would be perfectly fine 🥲

The way i look at it is that the helmet holes even though in a bad spot that you can customize them with all the extra pieces we get from other sets like the visors or antennas still couldve been better executed.
But you don’t put attachments on most of them which makes them look bad

I guess the new super battle droid designs confirms the theory that the reason we didnt see any in sets for a while was because one of the dies used to make them failed.
Make a small barely noticeable indent on a super battle droid yet leave the holes in the helmets and miss print/butcher other clones. Love to see it
I really don’t mind the helmet holes, if they had been moved down to their “proper” place all the accessories would hang too low. It just gives kids (the targeted audience) more options for customization and modding. They don’t necessarily look great but it’s certainly not a deal breaker.
I own the awful 212th clones, and seeing these ones i think they are much more tolerable cuz they are not misprinted at least. I'll definately be buying a good bunch of these battlepacks
It needed a 327th clone trooper also. Its just weird with the random shock trooper...if they were going to call back to the 2007 packs, they should have done that or four plain clone troopers. Otherwise its a phenomenal set.
I love that LEGO made this set, but it feels so odd knowing I’ll buy a lot of copies, only to sell the clone troopers.
Usually, I buy for the troopers and sell the side builds. This time, I’m buying for the droids, super battle droids and the tri-droid.
I just can’t get myself to like the hole-in-the-head phase troopers.

@@tobywareing6435 the old visor mould doesn’t even work properly on them. The phase 2 helmet literally stretches the visors so when on a phase 1 helmet they just flop around with zero grip, same with the macro binoculars
If they just made the holes in the right place and made a new visor mould they’re wouldn’t have been any issue, the antenna would’ve been in the right place as well
My only gripe is that I'd prefer 3 b1 droids and 2 b2 as it'd make more sense to have more of the basic units. However, that is a small complaint and I'm still enthusiastically looking forward to getting a few of these battle packs.

Battle droids ARE minifigures on top of that technically buildable ones like droidekas, dwarf spider droids and probe droids are classified as figures as well

One things, when this was leaked, MandR said that the box art was Christophsis, but I know someone who works for LEGO that says that the set is molded off of the 2003 Clone Wars battle of Courscant. So I guess the box art is Courscant
