It's awesome to see you guys show up in my city. I love my friend Bishop Wilkerson, I am glad that they are getting a upgrade! I'm looking forward to checking out the new stream when it's completed.
Luke what do you think about Wing vs Midas M32? Considering moving to the Wing from our M32...getting tight on channels. Would love an Avantis but might not have budget for Avantis and new me1 units.
Jake here. Wing is the most cost effective upgrade for lots more capability over the M32. But if you have more budget yeah I’d look into A&H or Waves LV1
Avantis strong suit is its I/O expansion options which make it basically an unstoppable console except channel count. If you already have an M32 I’d stay WING because it’ll be such a cost effective upgrade and you have so many source input flexibility (3 AES50 ports, and an expansion slot, plus stage connect, and you’re going to be able to use the network port for Dante) so theoretically, you could have 3 AES50 connections to stage boxes, monitor console, etc, a Waves or Madi expansion card, and use Dante via the network port. Unreal. That being said, I do love mixing on our Avantis and the Deep pack of plugins and a 96khz desk is real nice, but it’d be a spendy upgrade coming from the M32.
@@Churchfrontwell to me it’s still a deal breaker that the wing doesn’t offer 32 local inputs on the back. In reality the total for the wing would be $5,800 and that’s with the wing and the dl32 together. Yeah they offer the s32 but I see no point in getting those very low quality pre amps over the Midas dl. At that point to me it’s logical to go sq7 at that point
While I'm always for future proofing, I feel that unless you are already planning on implementing Dante, that might have been an addition that could have been done in a phase 2. It sounds like this church doesn't have a lot of knowledge about certain systems, and so something like Dante, unless they are bringing someone in again, might be an intimidating addition. Did they indicate when they would implement it? I could understand if they wanted to do it in the coming months and they are out of stock, but for this card specifically, that's not really the case. I only bring this up from the context clues of some of the existing gear looking like it was thrown together, budget might be tight, so every cent counts.
I'd like to know more about using one Sennheiser XSW for two vocalist. 2 XLR cables, 2 separate mono bus mixes. You can have two wireless packs on 1 XSW?
I wonder why they felt the need to upgrade from their Roland M400? Our church has two, we've had one of them for 15 years now, and honestly I greatly prefer it to the X32
That is a lot of gear (and money) for such a small space. My question is why have 6-8 singers on stage? They don’t need 6-8 bass guitars or keyboard players. It makes no sense to me to have so many inputs for such a small church.

It would be nice if you included links to the churches live streams in the description.

Why not go for an A&H SQ 7? Just wondering because I’m in the same boat @RylandRussell

We just upgraded from our LS9 to and A&H SQ console, and the sound team loves it so far.

Love it 😎👍

Can someone provide more on the P16?

Great video, thanks for the info. I'm curious to know more about the wireless IEM that they upgraded to. Would you provide a link to them?
What in ear systems do you recommend? (sennheiser xsw)
Any better?

This is a wing upgrade. Not an x32
probably because the processing power of older consoles will be limited.

The church may sing majority gospel music which involves stronger than normal projection…
More money than sense!
