Having a baby makes you appreciate your parents and in-laws in a whole new way, but as cliché as it may sound, it can also present some challenges. In some cases, grandparents parenting grandchildren will differ from how you were raised. And that’s ok! I’ve really lucked out in this situation. Here is my tried and true advice for navigating differences between your parenting style and the way your children’s grandparents do things.

When it comes to unimportant stuff, I don't care. But safety issues? I only let people watch my child if they care about the safety stuff as much as I do.
